Reece Walsh will go for scans on what the Broncos suspect is a syndesmosis injury. Mechanism about as textbook as it gets - weight of tackler drops down on Walsh’s ankle, turns foot out. Traumatic nature + high level of force brings concern for moderate to high grade syndesmosis injury - potential for surgery (6-8 weeks) is there & even if not with 3 games left would be lucky to feature again this season.

Jack is 20 years old with no signs of slowing down. He now has a problematic ankle that we are sparing no expense on keeping him comfortable on. Not for our use but because he does not handle life at the farm well. He is happiest with a purpose and just being around the barn. I have had him in my life since he was a yearling and owned him since he was 3. It is not a thought I want to have that he is getting up there in age.

Bo Nix has been ruled out of the playoffs with a broken ankle. I'm not sure when the injury occurred but he took a hard hit from Bosa here on his second to last pass play of the game. The play after this he appeared to not put his full weight on his foot.

De’Zhaun Stribling #49ers He was in the tent earlier for his left ankle, you can see him pull up after pushing off the left foot here. He was helped off the field and not putting any weight on his left leg. I don’t see his ankle rolling so wondering if this is a calf injury, hopefully not Achilles, but unsure from this view. Hoping he’s okay.

Horrible news with scans unfortunately confirming that Tanah Boyd suffered an ACL injury in Round 11 - which will end his 2026 season. Facing reconstruction surgery & associated 9 month recovery period, silver lining is he should be fit and firing for Round 1 2027. Wish him the very best with surgery & recovery ahead!

Horrid for Nathan Cleary - taken off on a medicab after suffering a traumatic ankle injury (opposite leg to his previous foot bone stress injury) Hip drop tackle mechanism - tacklers weight comes down on outside of lower leg trapping foot & turns it sideways. Report from sideline of a possible open/compound fracture (bone pierces the skin). If confirmed open wound greatly increases risk of infection, will need washout during surgery to reduce risk. Usual recovery range of ankle fracture/dislocations is 3-4 months but the open nature of the injury increases the uncertainty here & it might not be so clear cut. Plenty more to come here. Thoughts with Cleary - such a significant injury.

Coates has had a lengthy battle with an achilles issue - he indicated a partial tear was discovered post season 2025 that he attempted to rehab for months. Then he underwent surgery earlier this year to remove a bone spur & bursa around the achilles. Now worst case scenario with a complete tendon rupture. Quick Case. Patient with a history of recent trauma. He was referred for an ankle ultrasound (normal). Clearly, the problem is at the mid-foot. Lisfranc injury, maneuvers are performed with stress, axial compression on the metatarsal with a fixed midfoot, and we can clearly see the marked instability of the medial column, with opening and displacement. It is much more evident when compared to the normal side. #mskrad

BREAKING LACROSSE NEWS: I have received word that the Georgia Swarm's Michael Grace tore his ACL on this play in the 1st quarter of this past weekend's quarterfinals playoff game against the Buffalo Bandits. He will miss the remainder of the NLL playoffs and will be receiving surgery as soon as possible. This injury would also keep him out of any PLL action this summer, and likely the majority of next year's NLL season.
