I can’t draw without one, so even if I were drawing with a mouse, I’d personally recommend a left-hand controller.

Nunca he tenido de esos dispositivos, hace tiempo pensé en una tableta para dibujar pero siento que no la voy a aprovechar.

For example, when you want to copy, paste, use the fill tool, and then switch back to the pen, being able to do all of that with one hand already makes the workflow much faster. With only a mouse, you have to move the cursor to each icon and then move it back again, which takes more time. You could assign shortcuts to the keyboard, but compared to a left-hand controller, the keys are farther away. The less time you spend on controls, the more time you can spend actually drawing.

Eso se escucha genial, para el cambio de herramientas, necesito todo el tiempo posible para mejorar porque necesito hacer algo por lo menos decente, investigaré algún modelo no muy caro para empezar.

A fellow Asperite user I see... Asperite is a real good program for spriters in my opinion! I see you use a pen to do it. Personally kinda uncomfortable for me to work a mouse and pen at the same time though, not much desk space sadly ;,( Though you do you! :D

Yeah, Aseprite is really great! And when it comes to using a pen or a mouse, I think it just comes down to whatever feels more comfortable for each person.
