I saw Judas preists in concert a few times in the early 1980s. Rob and the band wore heavily studded outfits and all leather. We didn't know it at the time, but his attire was reminiscent of a West Hollywood Gay Underground Lifestyle, which was represented in the movie "Cruising," starring Al Pacino. If we had found out he was gay, his metal career would have been over because he attracted metalheads and bikers who thought he represented a biker lifestyle. Today, I think of Halford as a genius and one of the greatest rock vocalists and metal entertainers of all time. We are lucky that his personal lifestyle and alleged drug use never took him from us like Freddie Mercury and a host of others, and that he still rocks out to this day. Rob is one of the few who still sounds great, so go see Judas Priest now while you still can. 🤘
