おっしゃるとおりです。この区間はフルカ峠旧線の復活区間で、ラックレール方式は前後に繋がる現役区間と同じ必要がありました。廃線中に道路の交通量が激増し、徐行を要する突起物を作れなくなったので、このような特殊な機構を設置したとのことです。鉄道側は保存鉄道なので1日数便のみです。

模型の場合、BEMOのラックレールは固定式でも調整が難しいのに、可動式はほぼ不可能ですね。 可動式にして、ファーラーの自動車システムと組み合わせたら、すごく面白いのですが・・・
