oh i just realized that lee sooman was narrating according to the clip shown here (it was not a random narration). at the start, he said “(the/the trainee’s) training period.. the longest is 7 years (referring to ES)”.

so yeah .. when he said aces .. he was referring to everyone in this debut line up (i guess) and not just some generalization of all the trainees that he had (not wrong too).

the debut line up was kept until jan 2023 (or at least, until dec’22) i think bcos most of the clips and interviews were done at the end of 2022 when lsm was preparing to leave the company.. thats when the trainees were separated to form the latest two male groups in SM.

nct tokyo was lsm’ last remaining traces of projects in the company until new SM overturned it.

how did i know the timeline of this documentary? here, tyong’s iv was filmed in nov’22 (exactly around the period where lsm was preparing to leave the company)
