They destroyed everything Japanese had in Manchuria, looted all property, and committed atrocities—a series of attacks and massacres against the civilian population. Massacres occurred one after another. Countless civilians were brutally robbed of their property by Russian troops and died in the process. ❗ Of course, many Japanese civilians and soldiers also directly suffered atrocities at the hands of the Russian army and were killed. ❗ Many Japanese women were brutally raped and tortured by Russian troops, eventually dying from their injuries.
