悪魔城伝説 Castlevania III The best FC/NES sound ever!

Actually, the sound from the Victor RC-M70 is superb, unlike anything you can find in today's boomboxes. Can you hear the deep bass tones? It's the real sound of Famicom paired with a Konami VRC6!

Trivia: Some fans might already know this, but Fillmore from ActRaiser actually took inspiration from the “Beginning” in Castlevania III. I absolutely fell in love with that track when I played it that I couldn’t help but transcribe it by ear. Later, I programmed the song to mimic the VRC6’s sound using the YM2608 on the PC-88. You could say that was the true “beginning” of my inspiration for Fillmore.

映像に写っているラジカセ、1979年発売のVictor RC-M70はとても音が良いのです。私はこのラジカセのLine InにPC-88の音声出力を繋いで、高校生の頃にゲーム音楽の耳コピを初めて以来、ベアナックル2に至るまでこれで音楽を作っていました。良い音楽が作れたのはこのラジカセのおかげでもありますね。

As a kid we had no idea Japan’s CV3 had expanded audio (I’m Canadian). Thanks to the internet and emulation many years ago we got to experience it. We got ripped off. AMAZING soundtrack. Still holds up to this day.

Yeah, the amazing musical compositions along with the VRC6 are a great combination. The NES version is still really good but you can tell the music was done with the extra channels in mind.

Someone combined the NES and Famicom soundtracks of Castlevania III together and the results are absolutely incredible!

Not only VRC6 power, but also Melody is Super great…. I hope overseas NES players have a chance to know the diff b/w NES and FC version.
