I watched a turtle come on shore and start digging in Mexico. The whole process was hours long. She had to take breaks between digging, laying and burying eggs. What these people did was disgusting. Let her rest and go at her own pace.

This hit me hard. She dragged herself out the ocean, dug for hours, laid 100+ eggs, covered them so predators won't find them. Used every bit of energy she had. Then she couldn't make it back. Stuck in the sand, dehydrated, done. Good thing those people were there to help her back to the water. Motherhood is brutal in nature. She doesn't even stay to see them hatch. She just gives everything and hopes it's enough.
