他今年57岁，赫尔人，10月5日周一下午在英格兰东南部多佛以南的莎士比亚海滩上岸。这趟旅程起点是近30年前跟人打的一个赌，目标是成为第一个连续徒步绕地球一圈的人。28年走近5万公里，上岸后还要走回赫尔母亲家才算收尾。
