⸸𐌰𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖊𝖙𝖍☨ traced over a 3d model for this one! (and even then it's a hassle to make it look right lol) i often just wing it for the shadow-work, but it's best to find a photo reference. i use dozens!

@aestareth I didn't notice the towers until I watched this....

@aestareth See you wouldn’t have this problem on Fern

@aestareth Do you have more timelpase I can see? Id love to study your works since I love your art style

@aestareth There's also the technique of using a smaller circle/ellipse to map where the chin is going to be at that angle then draw out the jaw line on a rough layer.

@aestareth Damn, wish I had talent. Props!

@aestareth I use this method as well. I feel like imitating models is the best way to learn.

@aestareth I'm sad Costco Dog didn't make final cut, but I understand

@aestareth

@aestareth imho 3D models often get the idealistic look of 2D drawings wrong. As in: there's no 3D model that has the same 2D representation from every angle. The 3D model would have to deform at certain angles to fit the ideal 2D

@aestareth What a timelapse, nigga
