🏙 Stone Street: A Stroll Through History •Oldest paved street in New York. Originally in the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam (established around 1624), Stone Street was officially paved in 1658. It was among the city’s first steps toward becoming the metropolis we know. •Name evolution. It wasn’t always “Stone Street.” Parts of it were two colonial streets: Breuers Straet (“Brewers Street” for the breweries), and Hoogh Straet (“High Street”). After British control, names shifted: the street was called “Duke Street” for a while. It finally got its current name “Stone Street” in 1794, a nod to its cobblestone paving and a move away from British‑era names. •Fire & rebirth. The Great Fire of 1835 destroyed many buildings in the area. After this catastrophe, Stone Street was quickly rebuilt with new commercial structures (counting houses, lofts) in styles like Greek Revival. •Decline & revival. Over time, Stone Street lost prestige: paving got replaced with asphalt, buildings deteriorated, storefronts fell quiet. In the 1990s the area was designated a historic district (City Landmark in 1996; added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999) and a restoration was undertaken. The restoration included laying down 23,000 Belgian blocks to re‑cobble the street, restoring old style lighting, replacing sidewalks, curbs. That transformation was done around 2000. •Today. Stone Street is pedestrian only (in its eastern section) and vibrant. It’s packed with restaurants, bars, outdoor dining, locals and tourists mingling, with a strong sense of history underfoot (literally…the cobblestones!). A mix of cuisines, ambience, a go to for lively nights or atmospheric afternoons in Lower Manhattan. •Fun fact(s): •George Washington used to wet his whistle (i.e. drink in the bars) here in the 1780s. •The original colonial street is still below the current surface in places, excavations have revealed parts of the 1600s pavement beneath today’s street level. 🍻 Oktoberfest on Stone Street — What’s the Deal in 2025 If you’re gearing up for Oktoberfest vibes, Stone Street is definitely pulling out all the stops this year. •When: Six consecutive Saturdays, starting Saturday, September 13, 2025. •Time: From noon until 11:00 PM those Saturdays. •What to expect: •Traditional German + international food (pretzels, wursts, etc.) •German beer served in classic steins. •Live music / bands, plus some weekends with DJs. •Stein holding competitions. •Games, photo booths, tents, communal tables, basically a beer garden festival atmosphere in the heart of Lower Manhattan. •Where: The pedestrian only section of Stone Street, between 85 Broad Street and Hanover Square, parallel to Pearl Street & South Williams. •Admission: Free to attend; food & drinks sold by participating restaurants / bars. 🚶‍♂️ How to Get to Stone Street From Times Square (NYC‑Style) Here’s your off‑beat vs. tourist approach so you arrive in style. Starting Point: Times Square (Midtown Manhattan) Subway (fastest, especially off‑peak): •Take the 2 or 3 train from Times Square–42nd Street heading downtown (toward Brooklyn or South Ferry) to Wall Street station. Then walk east/downhill. •Alternatively, you can transfer if needed: 1 train/other routes, but 2/3 is pretty direct. •You could also do 4 or 5 to Bowling Green, or J or Z to Broad Street depending on timing and where exactly you land. 2.Walking (if you like a longer walk and some views) •It’s about 4‑5 miles depending on your exact spot in Times Square; maybe 1.5‑2 hours walking, but you’ll see different neighborhoods (Bryant Park, Grand Central, etc.) •More likely you’d mix walking + subway. Taxi / Ride‑share: •Ask for “Stone Street, Financial District” or “Stone Street between Broad and Hanover Square”. •Depending on traffic, could take 20‑30 minutes from Midtown, maybe more at busy times.

On this day, 90 years ago, Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" (1936) premiered at the Rivoli Theatre, New York City, USA. Charles Chaplin on how the Critics and the International audience reacted to 'Modern Times' (1936): "Before the opening of 'Modern Times' (1936), a few columnists wrote that they had heard rumours the picture was communistic. I suppose this was because of a summary of the story that had already appeared in the Press. However, the liberal reviewers wrote that it was neither for nor against communism and that metaphorically I had sat on the fence. Nothing is more nerve-racking than to receive bulletins informing one that the first week’s attendance broke all records and that the second week fell off slightly. Therefore, after the premières in New York and Los Angeles, my one desire was to get as far away as possible from any news of the picture; so I decided to go to Honolulu, taking Paulette and her mother with me, leaving instructions with the office not to send messages of any kind. We embarked at Los Angeles, arriving in San Francisco in pouring rain. However, nothing dampened our spirits; we had time for a little shopping, then returned to the boat. Passing by warehouses, I saw stamped on some of the freight the word ‘China’. ‘Let’s go there!’ ‘Where?’ said Paulette. ‘China.’ ‘Are you kidding?’ ‘Let’s do it now or we never will,’ I said. ‘But I haven’t any clothes.’ ‘You can buy all you want in Honolulu,’ I said. All boats should be called Panacea, for nothing is more recuperative than a sea-voyage. Your worries are adjourned, the boat adopts you, and cures you and, when finally she enters port, reluctantly gives you back again to the humdrum world. But when we arrived in Honolulu, to my horror I saw large posters advertising 'Modern Times', and the Press waiting on the dock ready to devour me. There was no escape." ('My Autobiography', Charles Chaplin, 1964)

Lenard McKelvey was officially listed as a Promoter/Sponsor under Roc Nation (540 West 26th Street, Jay-Z’s corporate headquarters in Chelsea) in the Caesars Palace Times Square gaming application filed with New York State. A promoter/sponsor in gaming license bids is someone who “aids or assists the Applicant’s efforts to obtain a License” — meaning McKelvey allegedly had a direct financial stake in whether the project succeeded. On August 13, 2025, he testified at the Community Advisory Committee hearing advocating for approval. He then used The Breakfast Club — broadcast on iHeartMedia’s federally-licensed radio station WWPR-FM to 8 million daily listeners across 100+ markets — to promote the Caesars Times Square casino to his audience. He framed his support around community mental health services and used Roc Nation’s credibility, to position himself as guy who cared. He never got on his radio show and publicly disclosed that he was listed as a promoter/sponsor under ROC Nation and never disclosed that he had an alleged personal profit motive. Under FCC broadcast rules and FTC endorsement guidelines (16 CFR § 255), on federally-licensed radio, material financial relationships must be disclosed to audiences. McKelvey’s alleged failure to disclose his Roc Nation affiliation and stake in the casino while promoting it on federal airwaves may constitute an alleged violation of FCC broadcast disclosure requirements and FTC endorsement rules. When the CAC rejected the proposal 4-2 on September 17, 2025, McKelvey allegedly lost whatever compensation structure Roc Nation had allegedly offered him for securing the license. He allegedly used federally-regulated broadcast waves to push a deal he allegedly stood to personally profit from, without disclosure to regulators or his audience, potentially in violation of federal law.

From 2002-2012, John Arnold's fund compounded at a STAGGERING 100%+ annually In 06 alone, it famously made 300%+ In 07, at just 32, he became the youngest billionaire Here's how he did it: "At the time when Enron went down, Enron was the largest natural gas trader. I was the head trader at Enron. And so I had a very big reputation in the business. New York Times wrote a story in early 2002, talking about the amount of money that my trading book had made in 2001, which was in excess of $600 million. And so all of a sudden, it kind of validated me externally. And so I started getting a lot of calls from people saying, Enron went down. There must be a lot of opportunity in this space. Can we invest with you? And second quarter of 2002, there starts to be a new scandal hitting the papers on Enron almost every week including on the power trading side. And so that was a very different operation than what I was doing, but it was close enough to where all the potential investors kind of stopped calling me back. Because they don't know what's going on. They don't know if my track record was real or not. They don't know if I'm going to be tied up in court proceedings for years.... When I got started in the summer of 2002, I had $8 million from 3 investors one of which was me... From 2002 to 2012, we compounded over 10 years 100%+ a year on average. We had some years that were 300%, had one year that was pretty much flat, but on average. 100% a year..." Absolutely STUNNING

In Remembrance of Suzanne Pleshette. Born | January 31, 1937 in New York City, New York, USA. Died | January 19, 2008 aged 70 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Suzanne Pleshette achieved television immortality in her role as Bob Newhart's wife in the 1970s classic situation comedy, The Bob Newhart Show (1972). For her role as “Emily Hartley” wife of psychologist “Bob Hartley” (played by Bob Newhart), Pleshette was nominated for the Emmy Award twice, in 1977 and 1978. She was also nominated for an Emmy in 1962 for a guest appearance on the TV series, Dr. Kildare (1961) and, in 1991, for playing the title role in Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean (1990) in a 1990 TV movie. Her acting career lasted almost 50 years. Suzanne Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937 in New York to Gene Pleshette, a TV network executive who had managed the Paramount Theatres in Manhattan and Brooklyn during the Big Band era, and the former Geraldine Kaplan, a dancer who performed under the pseudonym Geraldine Rivers. Pleshette claims that she was not an acting natural, but just “found” herself attending New York City's High School of the Performing Arts. After graduating high school, she attended Syracuse University for a semester before returning to NYC to go to Finch College, an elite finishing school for well-to-do young ladies. After a semester at Finch, Pleshette dropped out of college to take lessons from famed acting teacher Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She made her Broadway debut in 1957 as part of the supporting cast for the play Compulsion (1959). Initially cast as “The Fourth Girl”, she eventually took over the ingénue role during the play's run. Blessed with beauty, a fine figure, and a husky voice that made her seem older than her years, she quickly achieved success on both the small and big screens. She made her TV debut, at age 20, in Harbourmaster (1957), then was chosen as the female lead opposite superstar Jerry Lewis in his 1958 comedy, The Geisha Boy (1958). On Broadway, she replaced Anne Bancroft in the Broadway hit The Miracle Worker (1962). Once Pleshette started acting, her career never lagged until she was afflicted with cancer. Her most famous cinematic role was in Alfred Hitchcock's classic, The Birds (1963), as the brunette schoolteacher jilted by the hero of the film, “Mitch Brenner” (played by Rod Taylor). Pleshette's warm, earthy character was a perfect contrast to the icy blonde beauty, “Melanie Daniels” (Tippi Hedren). Frankly, it is hard to understand how Taylor's Mitch would jilt Pleshette's Annie, other than to work out Hitchcock's dark vision of society and psychosexual relations between the sexes, in which amoral blondes triumph for aesthetic rather than moral reasons. Still, it is for Emily Hartley she will always be remembered, for both the original show and her part in another show that had the most clever sign-off episode in TV series history. Bob Newhart had enjoyed a second success during the 1980s with his TV sitcom Newhart (1982), and when he decided to end that series, he asked Suzanne Pleshette to come back. She did, reprising her tole of Emily in a final episode of Newhart, where Newhart woke up as Bob Hartley from “The Bob Newhart Show” in the bedroom of the Hartley's Chicago apartment, Pleshette's Emily at his side. Bob Hartley then told his wife Emily of a crazy dream he'd just had, where he was the proprietor of a Vermont inn overrun with eccentrics, the premise of the second show. After “The Bob Newhart Show” ceased production, Suzanne Pleshette worked regularly on television, mostly in TV movies. Although she was a talented dramatic actress, she had a flair for comedy and, in 1984, she headlined her own series at CBS. She helped develop the half-hour sitcom, and even had the rare honor of having her name in the title. Suzanne Pleshette Is Maggie Briggs (1984), however, was not a success. She co-starred with Hal Linden in another short-lived CBS TV series, The Boys Are Back (1994), in the 1994-95 season, then had recurring roles in the TV series Good Morning, Miami (2002) and 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter (2002). Pleshette was married three times: In 1964, she wed teen idol Troy Donahue, her co-star in the 1962 film Rome Adventure (1962) and in 1964's A Distant Trumpet (1964), but the marriage lasted less than a year. She was far more successful in her 1968 nuptials to Texas oil millionaire Tommy Gallagher, whom she remained married to until his death in 2000. After becoming a widow, she and widower Tom Poston (a Newhart regular) rekindled an old romance they had enjoyed when appearing together in “The Golden Fleecing”, a 1959 Broadway comedy. They were married from 2001 until Poston's death, in April 2007. Pleshette was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent chemotherapy in the summer of 2006; she rallied, but in late 2007, she barely survived a bout of pneumonia. She died of respiratory failure on January 19, 2008, a few days shy of her 71st birthday. Suzanne Pleshette was remembered as a gregarious, down-to-earth person who loved to talk and often would regale her co-stars with a naughty story. Newhart and his producers had picked her for the role of Emily in “The Bob Newhart Show” after watching her appearances with Johnny Carson on Late Night with Johnny Carson (1962), where she showed herself to be a first-rate raconteuse. Because she could hold her own with Newhart's friend Carson, it was felt she would be a perfect foil as Newhart's TV wife. She accepted the part, and TV history was made.

Jabi Lake is trending because Pastor Sarah Omakwu knelt on the altar to beg Wike not to ruin the only recreational space left in Abuja, after he agreed redevelopment with an Indian-led firm. The area was designated a recreational park by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007. Until February 2026, when Wike reached a deal with two estate development firms; Suburban Broadband Limited and Akida Hills Limited, to transform Jabi Lake into a recreational hub in Abuja to promote tourism. Wike didn’t really explain why, he only hinted that, people took too long to develop properties which causes speculations, land grabbing. However, a representative of Akida Hills said they want to build a landmark attraction compared to Times Square in New York and the Dubai Fountain Water Show, due to the central location of the lake to be completed before 2027. Locals are saying, the park is the only green space in Abuja where people freely go for relaxations, games, sports, meet ups and to connect with nature freely. But now, like other parts of Abuja and Lagos, this “redevelopment” will price many people out of enjoying nature. Instead, Wike should improve, not redevelop it or change it from what it is, because it is the only landmark left in Abuja still retains its cultural identity. Unfortunately, fencing and demarcations already begun at Jabi Lake. The Olumo Rock used to be a recreational area too, until estate developers. Follow Trending Explained for daily explanations!

The Eucharist in Times Square: Procession With Father Mike Schmitz Draws Thousands on NYC Streets Priests, nuns, and laity participated in a massive Eucharistic Procession on the streets of New York City on Oct. 10, 2023. Approximately 5,000 Catholics attended the procession hosted by the Napa Institute for this year's Principled Entrepreneurship Conference. Father Mike Schmitz, the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the Diocese of Duluth, opened the conference with a standing-room-only Mass at Saint Patrick's Cathedral at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Eucharistic procession and Benediction. In his homily, Father Mike said he initially did not want to lead a Eucharistic procession. His students at the University of Minnesota Duluth often ask if they can process with the Eucharist on campus, but he also says no. He fears the general public will not understand the Eucharist or know how to react when the procession passes by. "When I think of a Eucharistic procession, like no, I want them to know this is Jesus. I want them to understand. No, this is the love of God for you in the flesh," Father Mike explained. "This is the love of God who loves you to the point where even if you are his enemy, He's poured out his life for you. In fact, that's what scripture says." He said as Catholics who believe, we will notice Jesus in the Eucharist. However, he encourages the faithful to help the world understand Jesus' Eucharistic Presence. "What God has asked us to do tonight is what he asked Jonah to do," Father Mike said, referencing the Oct. 10 daily Mass readings. "'Go out there and take me [the Eucharist] with you. "Go out there to a world that doesn't notice me [Jesus]– that doesn't understand me [Jesus]--That doesn't accept me. Go out there and just take me [the Eucharist] with you." Father Mike then explained why he wants Jesus to "come in power and glory." "We will all know in that moment when God comes fully revealed and fully present. Everyone will notice. No one will miss him and no one will misunderstand His love," he said. "We will have either chosen to be his friends or we will have chosen to be his enemies." He then concluded his homily saying the procession was an "incredible opportunity" to be Jonah and Simon of Cyrene. "Let this procession be your choice to say, 'God, I want you to recognize me in Your Glory, so I'm going to cling to You.'" Following Mass, Father Mike led Benediction and the Eucharistic procession began from Saint Patrick's Cathedral. New York Auxiliary Bishop Edmund Whalen held the Eucharistic monstrance while priests, religious, and laity followed. Several priests and religious orders attended, including the Sisters for Life, the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, Dominican sisters, and clergy from both the Archdiocese of New York and the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Napa Institute representative Grady Connolly told ChurchPOP that attendees said the Eucharistic procession "was one of the most moving experiences of their faith thus far. Many were moved to tears as we processed through Times Square during rush hour with a police escort." Video courtesy of Napa Institute

🚨DEVASTATING NEW REVELATIONS: Police Took A FULL EIGHT MINUTES To Realise Henry Nowak Was Stabbed To Death - While He Lay Handcuffed, Dragged, And Bleeding Out Right In Front Of Them! 😡 18-year-old Southampton University student Henry Nowak was brutally stabbed FIVE times with a 21cm blade on 3 December 2025 by Vickrum Digwa (23). Digwa and his brother immediately lied to police, screaming that Henry had racially attacked them. A dying Henry pleaded with officers NINE TIMES that he couldn’t breathe and FOUR TIMES that he had been stabbed. One officer’s cold reply? “I don’t think you have, mate.” Instead of saving him, officers dragged the dying teen along the floor, slapped handcuffs on him behind his back, and read him his rights as blood poured from his wounds. Those were some of the last words Henry ever heard. NEW bodycam audio exposes the horrifying delay: MALE OFFICER: I’m not sure he’s breathing. FEMALE OFFICER: (Checks neck) MALE: He’s not breathing. FEMALE: Right, let’s get the handcuffs off. FEMALE: (On radio) From 4-8 we don’t think he’s breathing… Got no pulse. Handcuffs off. CPR begins. Minutes drag on with Henry dying in front of them: FEMALE OFFICER: Can you put a torch… I just wanna make sure that he hasn’t been stabbed. Clothing ripped open - EIGHT FULL MINUTES after police arrived. MALE OFFICER: Has he been stabbed there? FEMALE: Yeah, he’s got a stab… there’s a mark there. MALE: That makes it worse. I’m pushing on a f*cking stab wound. MALE OFFICER (whispers): He’s f*cking gone. He’s got blood coming out his nose. They were doing f*cking chest compressions directly on a fatal stab wound for minutes without even checking! Unbelievable! Paramedics arrived too late. Henry was pronounced dead at the scene at 00:37. This wasn’t a simple mistake. This was a dying White British boy, begging for help, being dismissed and treated as the criminal the moment the attacker cried “racism”. They prioritised the false narrative over the evidence right in front of them: a teenager bleeding out. This is institutional failure at its most evil, where ideology apparently overrides basic humanity and police duty. British policing is broken when “racism” accusations from the perpetrator trump a victim fighting for his life. Every officer involved should be shamed, fired, investigated, and prosecuted. The IOPC must expose how this happened.

YOUNG AMERICANS 50TH ANNIVERSARY VINYL DUE IN MARCH “Young American, young American, you want the young American...” DAVID BOWIE YOUNG AMERICANS 50th ANNIVERSARY HALF SPEED MASTERED LP 50th ANNIVERSARY PICTURE DISC LP WITH POSTER LIMITED EDITION RELEASES AVAILABLE 7th MARCH, 2025 ON PARLOPHONE PRE-ORDER HERE: (Link will be updated throughout the day) #BowieYoungAmericans #YoungAmericans50 7th March 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of David Bowie's ninth studio album, YOUNG AMERICANS. On the exact day of its Golden Jubilee, YOUNG AMERICANS will be issued as a limited edition 50th anniversary half-speed mastered LP and a picture disc LP pressed from the same master. The picture disc comes with a poster of the album cover. The album saw Bowie broaden his musical horizons once more, embracing what he called 'Plastic Soul' and would give Bowie his first number one single in the U.S., ‘FAME’, co-written with John Lennon and Bowie's then guitarist, Carlos Alomar. The album was partly influenced by the 'Philly Sound' and recorded in Philadelphia at Sigma Sound studios during a break in the DIAMOND DOGS tour with a band that featured amongst others Bowie stalwart Mike Garson on keys, along with the late Luther Vandross on vocals and David Sanborn on saxophone. During the Tony Visconti produced sessions at Sigma Sound, Bowie immersed himself in soul music and created a new persona called The Gouster, a slang term for a hip street character. An early version of the album using this title was issued on the boxset WHO CAN I BE NOW? (1974-1976). When the tour recommenced, Bowie radically reworked the setlist to incorporate the new material and stripped the elaborate production of the tour back to reflect a radically new musical direction. At the end of the tour in December ’74, sessions continued at The Record Plant and, while recording in New York, Bowie connected with John Lennon, where they recorded a cover of The Beatles ‘ACROSS THE UNIVERSE’ and a new collaborative composition, ‘FAME’ at Electric Lady Studios. The New York sessions were co-produced by David and Record Plant engineer Harry Maslin. Bowie opted not to tour following YOUNG AMERICANS’ release, and within nine months, had moved on again, releasing his next album, STATION TO STATION, and reinventing himself once again in the persona of The Thin White Duke. This new pressing of YOUNG AMERICANS was cut on a customised late Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronics from 192kHz restored masters of the original Record Plant master tapes, with no additional processing on transfer. The half-speed was cut by John Webber at AIR Studios. The election of a charismatic democratic socialist as the Democratic Party’s mayoral candidate yesterday stunned New York's political establishment and appears to signal the most radical shift in city politics in a generation. With no executive experience, limited name recognition, and a fraction of the budget of his rival, a 33-year-old State Assemblyman named Zohran Mamdani defeated former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo outright in the Democratic primary, winning 44 percent of the vote in the first round and avoiding a runoff entirely. Mamdani’s rise was powered by younger, progressive voters hungry for moral clarity and economic redistribution. Mamdani is a practicing Muslim and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018. He is a true political star, radiating warmth and intelligence. Mamdani called for a citywide rent freeze, universal rent control, fare-free public transit, and city-run grocery stores — all without raising taxes on working- and middle-class New Yorkers. But if Mamdani wins the general election in November and implements his policies, their impact would be disastrous for the people of New York City, including the poor, the working class, and many of the young voters who carried him to victory. A citywide rent freeze and expanded rent control would choke new housing supply, discourage landlords from maintaining existing units, and entrench inequality by rewarding incumbency while locking out newcomers. The evidence is already stark: New York City's acknowledgment on February 8 that the latest Housing and Vacancy Survey (HVS), a study of housing conditions, shows the rental vacancy rate in early 2023 at 1.4 percent, the lowest in more than 50 years. This crisis emerged after the 2019 rent laws that Mamdani wants to expand. Berlin tried a similar approach in 2020; construction collapsed, black markets emerged, and rents ultimately surged when the courts overturned the law. Mamdani's plan to eliminate transit fares would exacerbate the Metropolitan Transit Authority's multibillion-dollar deficit and compromise service quality in a system already operating at capacity. His proposal for city-run grocery stores ignores Chicago’s failed attempt, where poor oversight led to spoiled food, inventory gaps, and unsustainable losses. And his pledge to slash the NYPD budget comes at a time when violent crime remains elevated, assaults on transit workers are rising, and 911 response times lag across the boroughs. Mamdani is raising legitimate concerns, including on affordability and the city’s poor treatment of the mentally ill. From 1968 to 2024, the full span of New York’s current rent stabilization system, rents went up 1,017 percent, while costs for all other measured goods rose 826 percent. Public transit in New York is expensive and unreliable, grocery prices are punishing, and far too many mentally ill New Yorkers are left untreated on the streets, cycling through shelters, jails, and emergency rooms. In April 2025, 108,464 people slept each night in NYC shelters, while the majority of unsheltered homeless individuals are people living with a mental illness or other severe health problems. Mamdani’s willingness to confront issues that the other candidates evaded made him a symbol of hope for voters who rightly feel abandoned. But Mamdani’s proposals would make each of those issues worse, not better. A citywide rent freeze and expanded rent control would drive down construction, accelerate building withdrawal, and deepen the housing shortage. Operating costs of buildings containing rent-stabilized apartments already increased by 6.3 percent between 2024 and 2025. His call for fare-free public transit ignores the experience of other cities where eliminating fares led to overcrowding, reduced reliability, and funding crises. His plan to establish city-run grocery stores fails to take into account operational challenges. On safety, Mamdani pledges to remove police from schools, public housing, and subways, even as violent crime remains above pre-pandemic levels. And on mental illness, his opposition to court-ordered treatmentwould leave people in psychosis on the streets, untreated and deteriorating. And the people those policies would most harm would be many of the very people Mamdani claims to care most about. It would be low-income renters who find themselves unable to move because no new units are being built. It would be transit-dependent workers in the outer boroughs who rely on reliable subway service but would be left waiting for overcrowded, underfunded trains. It would be families in food deserts who need access to affordable groceries, not government-run stores plagued by mismanagement and waste. It would be children in public schools, tenants in public housing, and straphangers who face rising violence and would see fewer officers on patrol. And it would be the mentally ill and addicts themselves in crisis who need an intervention, not just outreach, left to suffer on sidewalks and subway platforms in the name of autonomy. Why then did he win such a resounding victory, particularly from those voters under 40 years old? ... I have long posted picture. Now I’m posting video. This is Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu welcoming US anti-terror squad to Abuja for ‘joint action’ against terrorists in Nigeria. Timeline of connectable dots: Ribadu was in DC to meet with Pete Hegseth. After the meeting, Hegseth declared the U.S. will work with Nigeria to destroy terrorists who are killing Christians in Nigeria. Shortly after, December 25, 2025 President Trump orders strikes against terrorist bases in Sokoto. Nigeria immediately announced it was a jointly coordinated action against terrorists - in other words, the U.S. and Nigeria worked together to make it happen. In fact, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Ministry declared that President Tinubu approved the strikes. Shortly after, Nigeria seemed to complain bitterly over the attack in the media - same strikes it claimed was approved by the president, and coordinated with USA. Then shortly after again, we heard of the $9m image laundering waste dumped on so called DCI group in the U.S. “According to the lobbying contract document filed with the US Department of Justice, Aster Legal, a law firm in Kaduna state, hired the services of DCI Group on behalf of Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser.” The Cable, reporting on the $9m dollar image-laundering misadventure of the Nigerian government. Keywords: On Behalf of Nuhu Ribadu Shortly after, there was Emeka from Onitsha, floated by the heavily discredited New York Times. Every finger pointed at the $9m waste. Then there was #Kajuru177 which birthed a new phase in the campaign against Christian genocide in Nigeria - coupled with Rep. Riley M. Moore declaring he’s about to brief President Donald J. Trump and make recommendations on further US actions in Nigeria to protect Christians. Only days after, the U.S. anti-terror team is in Abuja for another joint action against terrorists, meeting yet again with Nuhu Ribadu. Like the first joint action which bombed terrorists in Sokoto, will Nigeria accept that whatever happens through this upcoming set of actions is actually made possible with their approval, and stop giving off the vibe of people who are being forced to sign and approve stuff?Just asking for a good friend.
