18TH BSF CONTINGENT (IFPU II) DEPARTING FOR MONUSCO UN PEACE KEEPING MISSION IN BENI, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO The 18th BSF Contingent, led by Commandant Shri Kailash Singh Mehta, is all set to depart for the MONUSCO UN Peace keeping Mission in Beni, Democratic Republic of Congo on 04 June 2025. The contingent has a total strength of 160 members, comprising 7 officers, 9 SOs & 144 other ranks, including a woman medical officer and 24 Mahila Constables. The contingent was given a sendoff today at BSF Force HQrs in the presence of Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General, Border Security Force, and other senior officials. The contingent will be replacing the 17th BSF contingent which until now was deployed in Beni, Democratic Republic of Congo and is returning on 04 June 2025. 3. The 18th BSF contingent has successfully underwent 11 week long pre-deployment training and their Assessment of Operational Capability (AOC) test was carried out by United Nation Formed Police Assessment Team (FPAT) at 95Bn BSF, New Delhi w.e.f 03.05.2025 to 07.05.2025. The training covered various aspects of UN Peace keeping guidelines, SOPs and policies, public order management, human rights, SGBV (sexual and gender-based violence), VIP Security, protection of civilians, security of UN installations, protection of women and child rights and more. The deployment of the 18th BSF contingents in UN Peace keeping Missions is a testament to India's commitment to global peace keeping efforts.

Col. kaushalendra singh in their Monks and Warriors YouTube channel- Captain Praveen Thapa of the 21 Para SF revealed that the Kuki National Army (KNA), a Kuki militant group under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with the गृहमंत्री कार्यालय, HMO India had conducted joint operations along with the Indian Army against other insurgent groups in NE India particularly Manipur. More Indians, including innocent civilians and tourists, have lost their lives in a series of ruthless terror attacks over the decades, than in wars with our volatile neighbour who has allowed terror networks to grow in our neighbourhood. Pakistan is yet to denounce and renounce the use of terror as an instrument of state policy. It has been bleeding us over the years. On the outcomes of all-party delegation visit, Indian ambassador to Denmark, Manish Prabhat, says, "....We emphasised the excellent political relations between India and Denmark and our green and strategic partnership, which is already doing very well. We sought Denmark's attention to the grave threats of cross-border terrorism perpetrated against India... Denmark is a very important voice in global affairs today. It is a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the years 2025 and 2026, and it is also going to be the President of the European Union from July to December this year in the rotating presidency. So we know that in European affairs, Denmark has an important voice, and as in the Security Council, many issues would come up in the Security Council. We have sensitised our friends in Denmark that when these issues come to the Security Council, and in general as well, we need to strengthen the global fight against terrorism. It doesn't affect only the people of India, but such kinds of attacks could happen anywhere in the world, and they have been happening, and the world is now more aware that the epicentre of terrorism lies. The Dan side has received our message very well. They also expressed condolences on the innocent lives lost in the terror attack, and they stand with India. Yesterday, I completed the Tata Mumbai Half Marathon, and it was an incredible experience! Initially, after the October Ironman, I had planned to do a full marathon, but due to a busy schedule the last two months and not being able to train as much, I decided to go for the half marathon instead. The race was challenging, especially with the iconic Peddar Road climb, which really tested my stamina due to the elevation. The last 5k was particularly testing, but just when I thought I was slowing down, Coach Pramod Deshpande of JJ appeared out of nowhere and gave me the motivation I needed to finish strong. His timely support made all the difference! I completed the race at 2.16 hrs. Mumbai’s weather added another layer of difficulty. The humidity was intense, making each step feel heavier, but it also reminded me the importance of mental resilience in endurance sports. Pushing through that discomfort is what running – and life – is all about. I’m happy that I’ve improved my PR by 20 minutes compared to Bangalore Marathon. My next target is a sub-2 half marathon, and I’m already excited for the challenge! To the youth out there: physical fitness isn’t just about looking good; it’s about building mental strength, resilience, and discipline. Whether it’s running, cycling, or any other sport, the habits you form today lay the foundation for a stronger tomorrow. Let’s embrace fitness, set ambitious goals, and show ourselves what we’re truly capable of! Keep pushing, and never let any challenge stop you from chasing your dreams. On January 20, 2025, I signed Executive Order 14172 ("Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness"). Russia is bringing in large numbers of Indian citizens, explaining this by the need to address a labor shortage. According to preliminary information, about 70,000 Indians are expected to arrive in Russia. Given the frequent previous cases of Indian citizens in Russia being deceived into going to war with Ukraine, the question arises: how many of those who come to Russia now will go to die on Ukrainian soil? Let's take a look at what happened earlier: ◾️ Feb-Mar 2024: from "support jobs" to criminal cases of trafficking. On February 23, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially acknowledged that some Indian citizens had signed up for "support jobs" with the Russian army and reported that the Indian embassy regularly raised the issue of their early discharge. On the same day, Reuters, citing The Hindu, reported that this concerned about 100 Indians recruited over the previous year on contracts lasting at least a year. On February 29, 2024, the Indian press reported that, according to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 20 Indians who had left as "support staff/helpers" had appealed to the government. The turning point came on March 8, 2024: Reuters reported that India had uncovered a "major trafficking network" that was deceiving young men into going to Russia with promises of work or education, after which they were forced to take part in the war. The case involved about 35 victims (compared to the previously mentioned ~20), and at least two deaths were reported. ◾️ July 2024: Political escalation of the issue and the first systematic "exits" from the Russian army. The issue of early discharge of Indians who were "misled" by recruiters was raised during Prime Minister Modi's visit to Moscow; public estimates by the Indian side at the time indicated that 30-40 citizens could remain in the Russian forces, and at least four had been killed. On July 9, 2024, Reuters reported that Russia had promised to discharge Indians who had been misled during recruitment; the Indian side said the situation affected an estimated 35-50 Indians, of whom 10 had already been brought home. In the following months, the issue of "discharge" began to take on the characteristics of a controlled track: the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a parliamentary answer (Lok Sabha, February 7, 2025), said that thanks to regular engagement, "most" Indians in the Russian forces had been discharged, while the Russian side announced that it would stop accepting Indians from April 2024. The most conclusive source is the official answer of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Rajya Sabha on December 18, 2025: 202 Indian citizens are "believed to have been recruited" into the Russian armed forces; government efforts have resulted in 119 early discharges. 26 Indians lost their lives, seven are reported missing; efforts are ongoing for the early discharge of 50 individuals. Taken together, these data indicate that the risk of recruitment is organized (networks of intermediaries/trafficking) and cumulative in nature, persisting even after political agreements on discharge. Therefore, there is no guarantee that some of the newly arrived Indians in Russia will not be sent as cannon fodder to Russia's war in Ukraine.

Six Bangladesh nationals, including two minors, were detained at Subhas Park in Tripura's Khowai district on Friday. Saxena’s office intimated the Delhi Chief Secretary, Delhi Police Commissioner, and other Senior Officials, regarding a sudden spurt in the number of illegal immigrants in the national capital. The LG’s Office asked the Delhi Police Chief to conduct a special drive for one month for the identification of illegal immigrants and take further action in coordination with Central agencies. Following this, like many other illegal Bangladeshis & Rohingyas who fled the National Capital fearing identification and ultimately detention, these 6 illegal Bangladeshis too returned to Tripura to cross over to their home country but were caught. They have been identified by Tripura Police as Ayesa Khatun (70), Mohd Kabir (37), Tania Begum (35), Mumin (23), Mohd Sakib (6) and Sahida (5). All of them hail from Feni district in Bangladesh. Several Indian ID cards, which they had obtained fraudulently, were recovered from their possession. I would like to wholeheartedly thank Hon'ble LG of Delhi and Delhi Police for taking strict action and cleansing the National Capital from the menace of Illegal Bangladeshi Rohingyas. Simultaneously, the efforts of the Assam & Tripura Police must be lauded for nabbing the illegal immigrants and infiltrators. Over the last five months, more than 570 Bangladesh nationals and over 63 Rohingya have been arrested by Tripura and Railway Police, besides BSF. On the other hand, look at the video from the Swarupnagar-Hakimpur Bangladesh Border area in WB, where local TMC leaders facilitate illegal entry of at least 100 infiltrators per day. Recently, Hefazat leader Mamunul Haque and his colleagues visited Afghanistan to learn firsthand about the implementation of Shariah law in the war-torn country. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami also said that they will establish Shariah law once voted to power. Zaheer is the General Secretary of Pakistan’s Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith and a long-time ally of the UN-designated terrorist. He landed in Dhaka on October 25 and has since toured sensitive border districts, delivering inflammatory speeches and networking with local radical elements. After reaching Dhaka, Zaheer addressed the “Shine with Nibras – Annual Cultural Fest 2025” at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB). This marks his second visit since the interim regime under Muhammad Yunus took office. He was also in Bangladesh for more than a week in February 2025. Zaheer will participate in a huge Islamic Conference in Rajshahi on November 6-7. He is expected to stay in the country for more than 12 days. Since August last year, the Yunus gang has been working closely with Pakistan’s ISI to weaken the Bangladesh Army and destabilise the Seven Sisters using the jihadists of LeT, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Taliban and Ansar al-Islam, and some former and serving army personnel. With the fall of the secular government and Dhaka now leaning toward Pakistan and China, terror operatives once pushed away now seem welcomed again. Security experts believe that the LeT is reviving its cross-border footprint under the guise of religious outreach. As calls for jihad and “Greater Bangladesh” grow louder in Dhaka, India watches closely, knowing this network has a direct impact on border youth, recruitment, and national security. In Rajshahi, Zaheer was received at the Shah Makhdum Airport by Abdur Rahim, the son of Abdur Razzak bin Yusuf.
