Jamal Shead's Houston Cougars had a 125-19 record over 4 years. That's 87%. Between tournaments and regular season play, he played in a grand total of 138 games and lost just 18. That's 120-18..again 87%. He's currently the third string point guard on a team that's 7-20. That's 26%. In games he's actually played they're 7-18. Either way you slice it, Jamal Shead has lost more games in the pros already than he's lost in the past 4 years combined with Houston. That's a tough pill to swallow for a guy who values winning this much. So after leading the Raptors 905 to a win over the Maine Celtics 115-114, Shead sat on the bench as his team gave a lackluster effort against the Chicago Bulls... He checked into the game at the start of the fourth quarter with his team down 11 after sitting for three quarters. He put up 10 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds, made 4/4 of his field goals and led the charge with a ridiculous 31.7 Box Plus Minus in 12 minutes of play, capping off his career best night with a buzzer beating 3 to close the gap to just 1. Jamal is a winner. And while he may not be shooting well or winning many games right now, it's only a matter of time before all of his winning habits translate to the NBA level. He entered the courtroom wearing tan prison clothes with a white T-shirt underneath. Here’s what has happened so far: 🔴 JAM’S GUILTY PLEAS Jam confirmed that he is detained and admitted that he previously pleaded guilty to: • Conspiracy to commit murder • Conspiracy to commit robbery, which resulted in a murder He was then asked to identify the people he says helped plan and participate in the altercation that led to Lil Pop’s death. 👉 Jam pointed to Durk Banks, Didi and Brown Eyes. 🔴 WHO WAS THE TARGET? The prosecution asked Jam if Robertson was the target. Jam said NO — he said the target was Crando Rando. They then asked if the motive was revenge for King Von. 🔴 JAM’S BACKGROUND IN THE BDs Jam testified that: • He is 34 years old • He is from South Side Chicago • He is a member of the Black Disciples • He was “blessed in” at 9 years old • He described himself as a minister within the BDs • He said he holds a significant amount of authority He explained that people can rise within the organization through money, family connections or violence. He testified that failing to get your “lick back” could make your clique look weak or bad. He also said he has seen family members become angry when someone doesn’t retaliate after a relative is killed. The prosecution asked whether revenge for certain people can carry more importance. Jam said yes. They also asked whether respect is important. Jam again said yes, and testified that there can be danger associated with not being respected. 🔴 JAM’S HISTORY WITH VIOLENCE Jam testified that people can have different roles in the streets, including: • Scammers • Drug dealers • Hustlers • Shooters He confirmed that he was a shooter. He said he first fired a gun at 12 years old, shooting at a vehicle because he was told to shoot at it. He estimated that he was involved in approximately 12–15 shootings before turning 17. He also testified that he participated in more than 100 robberies, primarily targeting drug dealers. Jam explained that his parents were dealing with drug addiction when he was 12, and he said he turned to robbery as a way to help his family pay bills. 🔴 JAM DESCRIBES HIS FIRST MURDER One of the most serious moments so far came when Jam described his first murder. He said he went on a robbery with an older member of his gang. According to Jam, the victim was allegedly stealing money from the older member’s father. They traveled to Wisconsin to rob the man’s business. During the robbery, a fight broke out. Jam testified that the older member told him to shoot the man. After Jam shot him, he said the older member told him he had to finish him so there wouldn’t be any witnesses/problems. Jam said he shot the man in the head. He testified that this was his first murder at 17 years old. He also acknowledged that he admitted committing the murder when he was arrested in 2023.

🚨 ROCKTON, ILLINOIS: 8-MONTH-OLD FRENCH BULLDOG COLLAPSES AND DIES FROM EXTREME HEAT WHILE UNDER AN OFFICER’S WATCH - OWNER PLEADS FOR OVER 30 MINUTES FOR HELP On a hot, 97-degree day, Collazo Gonzalez was pulled over for speeding and detained for driving with a suspended license. Gonzalez stated that he did not know his license was suspended. Officers detained him and instructed him to call a family member for a ride because his vehicle was going to be towed. We requested all camera footage through an open records request to find out exactly what happened next. The result was a clear message from Rockton PD to me and my team: “You’ll only get what we want to send you.” They redacted nearly the entire written report. They also redacted very strange portions of the bodycam footage, including a portion where, allegedly, Gonzalez’s aunt was telling the officer over the phone to at least give the dog some water. She also told the officer, “The dog is gonna die if they don’t do anything.” There were other portions of the bodycam footage that were redacted as well. Gonzalez was pulled over at 12 : 40 pm. When he was pulled over, Kody, his 8-month-old French Bulldog, was already panting. When officers removed Gonzalez from the vehicle, they left Kody inside the non-running car for more than 20 minutes. During the process, Gonzalez asked if they could please put Kody in one of their police cars. He was ignored. At 1 : 02 pm, Kody was finally placed in the back of the police vehicle with Gonzalez. The AC was not on. When one of the female officers came to check on them, Gonzalez begged her for air. She turned on the air, but it was not cold. For the next 15–20 minutes, you can see Kody in visible distress. I have looked over every minute of this footage. And I cried. I haven’t cried watching bodycam footage in a long time. This made me cry. And if anyone wants the file, I’ll happily provide it. Then, approximately 30 minutes after being placed in the back of the hot police vehicle, another male officer finally comes to speak to Gonzalez. This is the footage I’m showing here. 👇 He listens as Gonzalez pleads with him over and over again while he stands there and doesn’t budge to help. In additional footage, you can see Gonzalez, with his clearly distressed dog, attempt to head toward a nearby house to get water. He is stopped by the officer so they can read off his citations. All while there appears to be no urgency for Kody. They then offered to drive Gonzalez several minutes to a nearby convenience store - not an emergency vet. And in this footage, they REDACTED anything said about the emergency involving Kody, but the sound came back in when they were discussing Gonzalez’s citations. I will share another video in the thread with more context regarding this. Unfortunately, Kody later passed away in Collazo Gonzalez’s arms. Gonzalez has retained an attorney and has actively tried to raise awareness about what happened to Kody. RIP, baby. 💔

The wrath of God was poured out on Jesus. It was a free gift in the sense that we did nothing to deserve it, "yet while we were still sinners Christ died for us." But it was not free in that it came at great cost to Jesus, for He suffered and gave up His life to fulfill God's righteousness and wrath, so God would be just in having mercy on us. And following Christ it NOT free for us afterwards either, and this is another area I feel like the Western church never disciples people in: what it means to be a genuine Christian after converting. Paul says that "if Christ has not risen from the dead, we are of all people most to be pitied." There is great cost in this life to following Christ when Christianity isn't fake and used as a means to better pursue the idols of the American dream. “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26-30, 33 Jesus says a very similar thing in John, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him." John 12:23-26 Jesus literally says, "I'm going to go die. Now come follow me!" I genuinely do want to die as a martyr instead of growing old. Growing old, being in my sinful body decades longer and dying in a diaper sounds far worse than dying for the name of my Lord and Savior on the battlefield, which surely would please my King and store up much fruit for my eternity with Jesus. Genuine Christianity has no idols. It counts everything else as worthless compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. And genuine Christians abhor sin. Having to walk in this world with our sinful body attached to us, like a putrid corpse of a rotting dead man tied to our backs, makes the life of the Christian a violent war zone within. Fighting my flesh brings me to tears almost daily before my Lord and I cry, "Oh wretched man that I am, who will save me from this body of death?" Not to mention fighting the powers and principalities that rule this present darkness. Surely Satan torments Christians and not objects of wrath because Satan is afraid that he only has this life to torment Christians, whereas he has eternity to torment the rest. The only hope we have is the Holy Spirit and the fact that we have living within us "all the fullness of Christ" and "The same power that raised Christ from the dead" A real fear of the Lord must be an ingredient to obedience and part of the power to overcome sin. Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Psalm 25:12-14 Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. Psalm 103:11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; Fear of the Lord is taught in the New Testament as well, but not much in the modern Church to our own peril. "So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied." Acts 9:31 "So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him." Acts 10:34-35 There will be no revival in the church until we start preaching the full character of God and the fear of the Lord returns. Yes God is good. Yes God is merciful. Yes God is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, but to teach that that is all that God is, is to lie about Him. For He is also righteous, just, holy, fearful, and full of wrath towards all who walk in sin. And there is no doubt in my mind teaching only the attributes of God that we think our congregations will like encourages Christians to walk in sin. The balance must return.
