Silva exploded onto the scene in 2023 as a Freshman, sporting an impressive .330/.416/.471 slash line with 11 2B, 7 HR, and 50 RBI. Was TCU's every day SS from the get-go. Named a First Team Freshman All-American and earned an invitation to Team USA's Collegiate National Team. Pro-like frame at 6'2", 200-pounds. Figures to add some impact as he continues to mature physically. Stands nearly upright in the box with a relaxed, medium-high handset. Normal load and stride, it's a smooth and rhythmic operation with a direct path to contact. Bat-to-ball skills are plus with an 88% IZ contact rate, including 89% against FB. Alex Robertson - 121 Technical Analysis I have been lucky enough to work with Alex for the past 3-months now as his "Technical Analyst" & he has agreed to let me share some insights as to what we do: - Clip All Touches - Review Against Our Agreed Development Plan - Weekly Presentation of Above - Constant Communication During the Week - Monthly KPI Data Report Before starting, I did a pre-review of his matches against Mansfield & Huddersfield(Both Not Started), noted the main issue was a "Closed-Off" Body-Shape which resulted in less progression of the ball and thankfully Alex agreed. Imagine If He Caught Them 😱 Eddie Hall, the former World's Strongest Man known as ‘The Beast’, lost it after three cars with blacked-out windows pulled up outside his house in Newcastle-under-Lyme at around 9pm. They were abusive, revved engines, beeped horns, and lingered while looking into the property. His wife Alexandra politely asked them to leave after about 10 minutes, but the group told her to “f*ck off” and stayed longer. The full interaction lasted around 20 minutes, with the viral clip showing only the final explosive 30 seconds. Eddie's young children, including his 12-year-old son Maximus and two toddlers, were in bed and got scared by the noise and unwanted attention. Eddie is usually very accommodating with fans but reached his limit after what he described as 20 minutes of harassment disturbing his kids' peaceful home. “Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Jesus Christ (Luke 21:24) There is a rising fervor among many Jews—as well as very confused Christians—to rebuild a “Third Temple” in Jerusalem. This man—who genuinely seems to mean well—says that doing so for the sake of the nations (“gentiles”) will usher in an era of peace, and that the Jews must have the courage to do it. He equates building the “Third Temple” with “bringing God’s presence into the world.” This should sound deeply sad to Christian ears (unfortunately, the two Christian co-hosts of this podcast nod along in apparent agreement). These words should fill us with a deep longing for the conversion of the Jewish people, who remain beloved by God for the sake of their fathers, and part of the Messiah’s family according to the flesh. Unfortunately, those who have rejected Him remain estranged from Him according to the spirit. By their rejection, these “sons of the kingdom” have been disinherited from the eternal inheritance He won for them (Matt. 8:12). The words of this Jewish man should arouse profound sadness for Christians for this, among other reasons: God’s presence has been brought into the world in a preeminent degree by His Son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Right now, the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of the Messiah can be encountered at every Catholic altar around the planet. The Eucharist, as prophesied by the Jewish prophet Malachi (1:11), has been offered among the Gentile nations as the once, final, and ultimate sacrifice to God for 2,000 years. Through the grace of God, received preeminently in the sacraments, God now dwells in our souls, making them small “temples” of His presence, building blocks of the larger Temple, His Church, in which He dwells forever, promising it will never be defeated by Hell. There is thus no need for a “Third Temple” in Jerusalem. There already is a Third Temple, and it is indestructible: the Body of Jesus Christ, in Heaven and on earth—the Church of the God of Israel, located not just in one nation, but in EVERY nation. We should therefore not kid ourselves: the religious and geopolitical agenda that proposes an alternative to this through a man-made “Third Temple” in the name of the God of Israel is of Antichrist. To affirm that a “Third Temple” made by the hands of men is required in order to “bring God’s presence into the world” for the sake of Jews and Gentiles is a denial that the God of Israel has ALREADY brought His presence into the world, on behalf of both Jews and Gentiles. It is to essentially claim that man’s power to build a physical temple can bring about a result that God Himself has already achieved—in an ever greater degree—through Jesus Christ, despite the best attempts of wicked Jews and Gentiles to stop Him. Fortunately, we are assured by Sacred Scripture, the Church Fathers, the Saints, and the Magisterium, that the Jews will one day say “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” (Matt. 23:39). God has not forgotten them. They will receive Jesus Christ, in one of the most dramatic turn of events in all history. They will finally see Him for who He is. They will “look on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a first-born” (Zach. 12:10). I personally believe these Jewish converts will play a vital role in rousing lukewarm Christians throughout the apostate Gentile world to a final push of perseverance against Antichrist, “and so all Israel will be saved” (Rom. 11:26). While reviewing tape for the Rapids, I’ve watched nearly all of OFK’s minutes this second half of the season, including those of Lazar Jovanović. In every match, there are flashes that reveal just how high his ceiling could be. Lazar has that x-factor, something very few players in our current generation possess. Like vs Partizan. Minutes after coming on, he shows his confidence. Upright stance, orientation towards the centre of the goal, which keeps opponents guessing. He controls the rhythm of the 1v1, sells the fake, stays composed and shows excellent body control. Very important to note, he then scans twice. Another fake and despite contact, he rides out the challenge and still manages to find the man in front of goal. So, all of it ends up being functional. Not just flashy, as you so often see. For the season, he averages 2.11 successful dribbles per 90 at an impressive 58 percent success rate, along with 2.11 key passes, ranking him second among all U23 players. And keep in mind, he's only 18. Again, it’s worth comparing his trajectory to Radonjić. Nemanja made his senior debut at 20. Lazar, on the other hand, was already starting for Vojvodina at 16 and has clocked over 1.000 Superliga minutes by 18. Those minutes have been crucial in his early development, especially in decision-making and contribution without the ball, where he’s already ahead of Nemanja. Radonjić, of course, moved abroad (too) early and lost valuable development years. You could imagine someone like Matija Popović making a similar impact to Lazar in the Superliga, yet he’s still playing youth football in Italy. A real shame, considering his raw ability and physical readiness. To conclude, players like Lazar carry great potential that justifies patience through the inevitable ups and downs. However, unlocking that potential also requires a structured environment, strong mentorship, and clear guidance off the pitch as much as on it. Let’s hope he continues to receive that, and stays open to it.

Every season, it seems like we have to say goodbye to a big name. This year… well it looks to be at least 3 big losses - John Stones, Nathan Benjamin Aké and Bernardo Mota Veiga de Carvalho e Silva. Wow, what an insane amount this trio has done for the club. All starters in the treble season and they’ve won the lot. Let’s start with Nathan Ake, he came from Bournemouth in 2020 for a fee of £40.4m - I mean at the time that seemed a lot for a back up centre back. He was steady, he was comfortable with the ball, solid at the back, some top blocks and some great last ditch tackles. But in 22/23 he was played at left back… and what on earth did he become? An absolute monster. ELITE 1v1 against any right winger. Unbelievable positioning and reading of the game. Even at times, getting forwards and he chipped in with some important goals. The best left back in the league that season. Whenever called upon, between his injury-stricken City career, he’s been fantastic. Most recently in the Cup final against Arsenal where many thought he’d be a weak link… he was absolutely absurd. Wherever he goes… we wish him the best of luck. John Stones, well… if injury hadn’t been the main factor in his career, he’d not only have a statue alongside Vincent Kompany, he’d have one outside Wembley. The general, the most tactical defender the game has ever seen. Whilst over his decade at City, he’s grown as a player and ironed out mistakes and just become an absolute Rolls Royce of a footballer, we can only speak about the treble season. The ONE season Johnny Stones managed to stay fit we won it all. Moving into the midfield and just bossing the park in every metric. Same number of dribbles completed in a Champions League final as Lionel fricking Messi? Unreal. General John Stones, definitely a fan favourite and we will be GUTTED to see him go. Thanks for everything Johnny. Finally Bernardo, Pep’s little favourite, the one everyone picks on, now finally the senior figure, the captain, the DREAM for a Pep team… he’s the epitome of a utility player being able to do absolutely everything on a pitch with endless running and an undeterred passion for the club. He is a true City legend. A decade at the Blues, also a decade of thinking he’s leaving in the coming summer. Well this year it’s finally confirmed… Bernie will leave the Blues being the face, alongside Kevin De Bruyne, of Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. The way his game has evolved is unbelievable. Once the tricky little attacker we signed from Monaco ten years ago, now dropping between the centre backs and a tenacious little midfielder tirelessly fighting for the team all over the pitch. His availability sees him become the only player in the modern era to be in City’s top 10 for appearances made for the club. He had everything on the pitch, and for City he was a fantastic little shithouse. But off the pitch he’s always had our hearts. Serious and passionate yet funny and joyful… Bernardo, it hurts to see you go. Thank you for everything. Seeing all these players leave us will be a pain in the hearts of all Blues, three fantastic servants to the club.
