Kinshasa regime vs M23/AFC: Uviraโ€”While M23/AFC is reassuring people to go back in their daily activities, and refugees to go back home. Yesterday, Burundi and DRC high command officials finalized offensive plans to retake Uvira. During a meeting held in Bujumbura, Burundi, the host country agreed to ensure coordination of these operations. Burundi is already hosting more than 30 thousands heavily armed militiamen who fled the fighting in South Kivu. Among them are members of the FDLR genocidal forces, Imbonerakure, Burundian soldiers, DRC soldiers, and Mai-Mai. Burundi, unaware that the mosquito has landed on its testicles, as the saying goes, remains stubbornly faithful to its genocidal ideology no matter the cost. Sources within the DRC and the Burundian army confirm that these attacks are imminent. Initially, the Burundian troops withdrawn from the mountains of the DRC were supposed to coordinate with FARDC special forces and mercenaries arriving from Katanga, Kalemie, and Kindu, plus reinforcements coming from Walikale, in order to advance along the Mwenga axis. At the same time, units redeployed from Burundi itself, along with those who had fled to Makobola, were to launch simultaneous attacks against M23 defensive positions on the outskirts of Uvira. At the same time, reports say that Gitega has dressed thousands of militiamen under its command in RDF fatigues and positioned them near Rwanda with intention to sow chaosโ€” now we know why they were printing these uniforms. Evidently, people who are doing this do not see that it will come with unaffordable costโ€ฆ. More details, no time to write.

Shockingly, a MONUSCO aircraft has also been involved in delivering bullets to these armed groups, including Wazalendo and Mai-Mai, enabling them to carry out attacks against the Banyamulenge in collaboration with the FARDC (Congolese army). Despite these alarming developments, the European Commission remains silent, even as several of these militias are under sanctions for severe human rights violations. The Wazalendo militias have escalated their attacks, recently setting fire to the #MIKENKE displaced persons site, further endangering the #Banyamulenge community. ๐Ÿšจ HISTORY IN THE MAKING ๐Ÿšจ While the world looks away, one voice rose with courage and clarity during the April 20, 2026 peaceful protest in Washington DC before the U.S. State Department. In this powerful address, Jado Ndaruhuye, a proud Congolese #Banyamulenge son, exposes the slow genocide unfolding in #Minembwe: systematic drone bombings on civilians, a deadly blockade starving women and children, and targeted ethnic killings by #FARDC forces, #Burundian troops, and allied militias. He demands an immediate end to the attacks, the opening of humanitarian corridors, and international pressure on Kinshasa to protect its own citizens. This is not propaganda, it is the raw, documented truth of a community facing erasure. When Pro-#Tshisekedi propagandists cannot challenge the message, they attack the messenger. They fabricate doubts about his nationality, digging up old work history in Rwanda, while ignoring that thousands of Congolese have worked across borders due to massive unemployment and instability at home. This changes nothing. #Banyamulenge identity is not something outsiders can easily fake. Within this tight-knit minority community, family ties, lineages, and histories are well-known, including with those #Banyamulenge in #Kinshasa leadership positions. No one in the community denies Jadoโ€™s Banyamulenge roots. Minorities recognize their own; impostors get caught immediately. Attacking the speaker only proves they have no answer to the suffering of civilians, the drone strikes, or the blockade. The truth stands alone. Judge this speech by its content: the call to stop bombing Congolese children, lift the siege, and end the persecution. Silence is complicity. Watch. Listen. Share. #MinembweUnderAttack #StopTheGenocide #Banyamulenge #DRC Department of State U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Secretary Marco Rubio

โ€œI called the President of Burundi, Ndayishimiye, and asked him: The EAC forces in the DRC were expelled, Burundi remained, and now SADC forces are deploying โ€” has Burundi joined SADC? He said no. I then asked whether Burundi stayed in Congo because of its friendship with Kinshasa and a desire to support whatever Congo was doing. He replied that Congo had requested their presence because they are friends. I asked again: But more and more of your troops are moving north. Yet he had told me earlier that Burundiโ€™s security problems originating from Congo were in the south โ€” in Uvira and Minembwe โ€” and that this was why they entered Congo. So I asked: If Minembwe and Uvira are in the south, what are you doing in the north, in Goma and Rutshuru? He responded, โ€œWho told you we have troops there?โ€ I told him I had been informed by people who showed me evidence, but that I wanted to hear directly from him before taking it as fact. He said, โ€œThey lied to you; we have no troops in the north.โ€ I replied that since he, as head of state, was telling me this, I would accept it. Not long after, many of their soldiers were captured in combat. This led to meetings between our two countries. Burundi tried to deny it, and we asked: Are you denying your own soldiers, captured exactly where you said you had none? It became an endless back-and-forth. Even today, all of this was happening before we signed the agreement and continued afterward. What happened in Uvira revealed thousands of Burundian soldiers operating in Uvira, Minembwe, Kalemie, Kindu, and others who had moved to Walikale and Kisangani โ€” more than twenty thousand in total. You have to ask: how did such a large Burundian force enter Congo? Clearly there is a serious problem. They spend their days shelling people in Minembwe with artillery and drones. And those in the international community who talk endlessly โ€” where are they? People have cried out for help, and no one has intervened. Then recently, after the fighting in Uvira, an international outcry suddenly emerged claiming, โ€œIt is Rwanda.โ€ So now Rwanda is expected to bear responsibility for all the problems unfolding inside Congo.โ€ President Kagame

U.S. embassy acknowledges petition from Afrikaner protesters, pledges to forward it to President Trump The U.S. embassy in South Africa has confirmed receiving a petition from Afrikaner demonstrators seeking Trumpโ€™s intervention in land reform policies and other legislative changes affecting their community. In a statement issued on Saturday, the embassy acknowledged the protest and confirmed it would escalate the concerns to the highest levels of U.S. leadership. "The U.S. embassy in South Africa received a petition this morning addressed to U.S. President Donald Trump, seeking U.S. support to change policies and laws affecting Afrikaners in South Africa. We will transmit the full text of the document to the president and secretary of state for immediate action," the statement read. The petition, reportedly signed by over 144,000 Afrikaners, was delivered by demonstrators who gathered outside the U.S. diplomatic mission in Pretoria. The march, attended by more than 3,000 people, was organized in response to South Africaโ€™s Expropriation Act 13 of 2024. Protesters expressed gratitude for President Trumpโ€™s recent executive order cutting aid to South Africa and offering refugee status to white South Africans. The South African government has strongly denied allegations that the law unfairly targets Afrikaner landowners, maintaining that it is intended to correct historical land ownership imbalances. Officials have criticized the U.S. position, with presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya dismissing claims of discrimination as misinformation. The petition's escalation to the White House marks a significant moment in the ongoing debate over South Africaโ€™s land reform policies and could further strain diplomatic relations between the two nations.

A Congolese musician, currently a refugee in #Kenya, has released a video message directed to Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto, PhD .In the video,he draws attention to increasing tensions among #Congolese refugees in Kenya, stemming from the ongoing conflict in eastern DR #Congo. The musician,a member of the #Banyamulenge ethnic group from South #Kivu, expresses concern over divisions within the refugee community, with some supporting the #M23 rebel group and others opposing it. He highlights that following a meeting held by the #AFC_M23 Coalition in Kenya, refugees who support this group believe that the #Kenyan government backs M23. This perception has led to harassment of refugees who do not support #AFC_M23. The musician, known by his stage name #GALLAS, is particularly concerned for the safety of refugees who oppose the war in #DRC, as some have recently been attacked by unidentified individuals. He stated he โ€œhas been studying UAPs for 15 yearsโ€ and that he serves as the NRO to the UAP Task Forceโ€. **Open Letter to Julius Sello Malema: #Urgent Plea for Action in Addressing the DRC Crisis** Dear Julius Sello Malema, I pen these words to you with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency, as a Congolese Refugee deeply affected by the recent tragic events unfolding in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The actions of the South African Military Intervention in the DRC (#SAMIDRC) have brought devastation and suffering to my homeland, claiming innocent lives and causing untold destruction. In the early hours of the morning, the towns of Sake, Kirolirwe, Mushaki, and Bweramana were brutally attacked, resulting in the loss of civilian lives and the destruction of property. The toll of this senseless violence continues to mount, with families torn apart, livelihoods destroyed, and communities in turmoil. Amidst this chaos, the brave defenders of the people, the M23/AFC forces, have stood tall, protecting the population with valor and determination. Their efforts to counter the aggression and safeguard the lives of innocent civilians have been a beacon of hope in the darkness of conflict. As result many armed vehicles belonged to South African Army were destroyed and some evidence are bellow! However, the presence of South African soldiers in the DRC has only intensified the violence and deepened the suffering of the Congolese people. I implore you, as a prominent opposition leader in South Africa, to take a stand against this unjust military intervention and advocate for the withdrawal of South African troops from our beleaguered nation. Julius Sello Malema, your voice carries weight and influence, and your commitment to justice and human rights is widely recognized. I urge you to speak out against the continued military actions in the Eastern DRC, demand accountability from the government, and push for a peaceful resolution to the conflict that respects the lives and dignity of all involved. Please, do not turn a blind eye to the suffering of the Congolese people. Your support and advocacy can help bring an end to the violence and pave the way for a brighter future for our nation and its people. I humbly implore you to take action, to stand in solidarity with the people of the Eastern DRC, and to be a voice for peace and justice in our troubled times. With heartfelt gratitude and hope, Manzi A Concerned Congolese Refugee Secretary Antony Blinken William Samoei Ruto, PhD East African Community Yoweri K Museveni

Kinshasa continues to hide its military losses by making up stories and spreading propaganda, diligently carried out by news agency Reuters & news media TV5MONDE Info. Other than collectively admitting that Kinshasa is violating international law by using mercenaries who are operating drones that bomb civilians, namely Tutsi Banyamulenge in the High Plateaus, and around Uvira, Kinshasa, Reuters and TV5Monde, are claiming that Erik Prince "liberated" or "participated in liberating Uvira". First of all, as we have reported directly from Uvira on January 17th via Conspiracy Tracker Great Lakes, AFC/M23 withdrew voluntarily at sunset on January 17th. My team and I personally followed the last convoy of AFC/M23 as they exited #Uvira. While, we could see wazalendo at the outskirts of Uvira, and could hear some remote gunshots that never reached anywhere near Uvira center, NO wazalendo, FARDC, Burundian troops, let alone white mercenaries dared approaching the city of Uvira before AFC/M23 exited. #Uvira was entirely secured by AFC/M23 during the entire time they were positioned there from December 10th to January 17th. And it is only after they had left, that the wazalendo stormed into the city to loot, shoot, and to attack civilians and their property. The Burundian troops alongside FARDC followed thereafter from Bujumbura. Reuters and TV5MONDE are trying to make the public believe that Erik Prince is some sort of Rambo that could confront the highly determined young AFC/M23 soldiers, who 1) have been either discriminated against their entire lives for who they are, born and raised in refugee camps, ready to die because they have pledged that they will not grow old in refugee camps like their parents have, or 2) others who have had no country that could keep them safe from armed groups and corrupt officials for 30 years. One high-ranking military officer of AFC/M23 said to my colleague and I, when we asked him about Erik Prince and "his boys", his answer was quite edifying: "those ones, they are even weaker than the wazalendo". The type of sensationalist propaganda made-in Kinshasa, amplified by partners like Reuters, or TV5MONDE Info, only serves to further exacerbate the violence which currently puts at high risk of extermination the entire Banyamulenge community living in High Plateaus and around Uvira, and to sabotage any attempt at achieving peace in #DRC through the #Washington and @Doha peace processes.

Here is the proof of the Minembwe blockade. A crime against humanity. Due to the blockade imposed on the population of Minembwe by the Burundian military, FARDC, and Wazalendo, women, mostly Banyamulenge and Bashi, and some men decided to take the risk and break this blockade to go get food for their children and not let them die of hunger. They crossed all the high plateaus and were able to buy some food after at least two days of travel. On the return trip, this morning at 5 am, about 80 to 100 people who made up the convoy fell into the ambush of the FDNB Burundi/FARDC/Mai-Mai coalition, which fired on these unfortunate people. The Burundian soldiers came from their camp in Mikalati with some FARDC, while the Wazalendo and some other FARDC came from Kipupu via Kigazura. A unit of Twirwaneho came from Mikenke to rescue these people in distress. Unfortunately, the harm was already done. The people were already scattered in the surrounding bushes and forests. While Twirwaneho clashed with these Mai-Mai/FARDC, whom they pushed back to Kipupu, the Burundian soldiers pursued the unfortunate ones in their hiding places, killed some, and took others hostage, bringing them to the camp. Others almost 30 are still missing in the bush luckily alive or dead. The toll is 4 men killed by Burundian and FARDC bullets, and reliable sources speak of 45 people, most of whom are women, detained at the Mikalati camp of FDN-Burundi and FARDC, with only 27 people arriving in Mikenke after losing everything. It should be noted that during these clashes, the coalition of evil called for air support. A helicopter intervened and fired on Twirwaneho. On its way back, threatening the villages of Minembwe, it was hit and fell into the lake. I denounce this blockade, which is a crime against humanity, and condemn this will to destroy the fundamental elements of the life of a single ethnic group by killing by starvation. This is worse than torture, it's the most dehumanizing form of persecution. But all of humanity is silent. These armies can wage war, it's their right, but systematically attacking a community based on its appearance and language is an unspeakable crime, but know this, it is imprescriptible. The images below show the Burundian and Congolese soldiers in their respective uniforms, speaking their languages, Swahili and Lingala for the FARDC, and Kirundi for the Burundians, saying "we caught you with soap, salt, and other things." This must stop. Donald J. #DRC #Rubaya #AFC_M23 What is the significance of the Rubaya coltan mine today and how does the mainstream narrative on Rubaya fail to address the root causes of the DRC conflict ? Teddy Mazina's visit to #Rubayaโ€™s Gacombรฉ coltan mine shows an artisanal, locally run operation with thousands of diggers and traders, but no armed men, no uniforms, and no children or pregnant women working in the pits since #AFC_M23 took control of the area, after pushing out the DRC government coalition and the Burundian troops. The mine functions through a clear chain: diggers extract and wash the ore, traders buy and transport it to the market where itโ€™s certified and taxed, and a whole โ€œmining villageโ€ economy (families, schools, markets) lives off this activity. Since AFC/M23โ€™s arrival in Rubaya, armed groups like #Wazalendo and the FDNB have left the mine area, order has replaced previous chaos, workersโ€™ daily pay has significantly increased (from about $1 to around $5โ€“10), and AFC/M23 has instructed its own soldiers and cadres to stay out of mining operations. This report disputes the label of โ€œblood mineralsโ€, emphasizing that: (a) there are no soldiers or weapons in or around the mine today, (b) work is voluntary and seen as a livelihood, not forced labor, and (c) children who once worked in the pits have been pushed out by AFC/M23 and are now back in school. Historically, the area and nearby village were controlled by various armed groups, including #Nyatura, #Mai_Mai, and more recently the Burundian army, who profited from the mine, but today security is provided by AFC/M23 without any involvement in extraction. The broader claim that Congoโ€™s current war is driven by Rubaya's coltan which would be "smuggled into Rwanda" is challenged in this report: the conflict is tied to long-term issues like refugees asking to return and ethnicized hate speech, while the coltan here remains, above all, a local resource sustaining a civilian community.
