A serious allegation of misconduct has surfaced in Bengaluru, where a woman has filed a complaint against a police inspector accusing him of harassment through repeated calls and messages. The complaint has been submitted to the cityโ€™s Police Commissioner, along with alleged audio clips and WhatsApp chat records as evidence. The accused officer, identified as Inspector Papanna, is currently posted at Konanakunte Police Station. The complainant, Yashaswini, has alleged that the inspector has been sending her inappropriate messages and making persistent calls over the past three months. According to the complaint, the messages allegedly contained personal and suggestive remarks, including requests to meet, hug, and kiss, which made the woman uncomfortable. She claims that despite blocking his number, the inspector continued to contact her using different phone numbers. The complainant further stated that the alleged harassment dates back several years when the officer was posted in Basavanagudi. She claims he had obtained her number during that time and had been attempting to contact her intermittently since then. In her complaint, Yashaswini has also alleged that the officer made statements suggesting that no action could be taken against him due to his alleged political connections. These claims, however, are yet to be independently verified. Police officials have acknowledged receiving the complaint and are expected to initiate an internal inquiry into the matter. Senior officials have assured that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation. The case has raised concerns about accountability and conduct within law enforcement agencies. Allegations involving misuse of authority and harassment are treated seriously, and due process is expected to follow. It is important to note that these are allegations at this stage, and the accused officer has not yet publicly responded to the claims. Authorities will examine the evidence, including the submitted audio recordings and chat logs, before arriving at any conclusions. The incident highlights the need for strict adherence to professional ethics within the police force and the importance of ensuring that complaints of harassment are addressed promptly and transparently.

A 28-year-old businessman in Faridabad died by suicide inside his shop on Sunday after hanging himself. Before taking the extreme step, he posted a video on Instagram in which he accused his wife and her family of mentally harassing him. Police have launched an investigation and are also examining the allegations made in the video. In the Instagram video posted before his death, Rahul accused his wife Jyoti, his mother-in-law Veena, his father-in-law Bittu and his wife's sister Neetu of mentally harassing him. He claimed that despite doing all household chores, including sweeping and washing utensils, he was assaulted, and false cases were filed against him. He said he had been living under constant mental stress. Rahul also said in the video that his wife and her family were responsible for his death and should be punished according to the law. He further said that after his death, his property should go to his mother, sister and brothers. The victim, Rahul, had opened a garment shop around four months ago. According to police, Rahul met his mother at home on Sunday morning before leaving for his shop. A short while later, he hanged himself inside the shop. Police reached the spot after receiving information, took custody of the body and sent it to hospital for post-mortem. According to Rahul's family, he had married a woman named Jyoti in a love marriage around two years ago. They alleged that after the marriage, his wife did not want him to live with his parents, following which he started living separately. They said Rahul had recently opened his new garment shop. A family member, Amit, alleged that Rahul had been under severe mental stress due to harassment by his wife and her family. He claimed that Rahul's wife had also filed a case against him, which added to his stress. The family further alleged that Rahul was not even allowed to meet his parents. Investigating officer Sanjay Kumar said police have sent the body for post-mortem and are investigating the case. He said the viral social media video has been included in the investigation and that the allegations made in it will be verified during the probe.

Here's the entire translated speech. It's worth the read and also a good primer for those unfamiliar with the problems/corruption of the KFA: "To the people of Korea, football fans, and my fellow lawmakers, I can barely contain my anger. What we are feeling today goes far beyond disappointmentโ€”it is devastation. The catastrophic collapse of Korean football at this World Cup was not an accident. It was a tragedy that many saw coming. First and foremost, I want to express my deepest respect and gratitude to our national team players, who gave everything they had on the field. We will never forget your sacrifice, your effort, and your commitment to representing our nation. However, Head Coach Hong Myung-bo, who failed to deliver, and the Korea Football Association, which protected him as a shield to preserve its own power, must now face judgment without excuses. In September 2024, I warned that the appointment of Hong Myung-bo was the product of backroom deals and organized collusion. Yet the Korea Football Association ignored those warnings. It refused to cooperate fully with parliamentary investigations, withheld documents, and misled both the National Assembly and the Korean people. When football fans demanded answers, Chairman Chung Mong-gyu and the entrenched leadership of the KFA responded not with accountability, but with arrogance. They shut out the voices of the people and acted as though they were beyond criticism. Two years ago, they attempted to cover up the crisis by sacrificing a few individuals while leaving the system itself untouched. That arrogance allowed a broken structure to remain in place, and today we have witnessed the inevitable result: Korean football has become the subject of ridicule on the world stage. But let me be clear. This is not a problem that can simply be solved by the resignations of Chairman Chung Mong-gyu and Coach Hong Myung-bo alone. As Park Ji-sung and commentator Park Moon-sung have both lamented, as long as an entrenched cartel that values power over competence continues to dominate Korean football, there is no future for the sportโ€”not even one percent. Let me repeat that. This crisis cannot be resolved through symbolic resignations. The Korea Sports Council must also accept responsibility. No one should be allowed to use the resignation of a chairman or head coach as an excuse to avoid uncovering the full truth or escaping accountability. Even if it means enduring a difficult period while preparing for next year's Asian Cup, the only path forward is the complete dismantling of the Korea Football Association's current structure and rebuilding it from the ground up. Therefore, I strongly call for the following. First, everyone under Chairman Chung Mong-gyu's leadership must immediately resign and accept full responsibility for both this disaster and the subsequent cover-up. Second, everyone involved in Hong Myung-bo's appointment must fully disclose the truth about the backroom negotiations, illegal practices, and unfair procedures that surrounded the hiring process, and cooperate without exception in a thorough and impartial investigation. Third, I call on the government and the Korea Sports Council to immediately launch a comprehensive special audit of the Korea Football Association. Everyone connected to this entrenched system of privilege and favoritism must be held fully accountable under both the law and administrative regulations. Disasters are not repeated by chance. They are repeated when corrupt systems are allowed to remain untouched. We must take Korean football back from the hands of corrupt institutions and return it to where it belongsโ€”with the Korean people. I, too, will not back down. I will continue to fight for a full investigation without sacred cows and for genuine reform. Finally, together with the Sports Corruption Reporting Center, I will establish a dedicated Korea Football Association Corruption Reporting Center to receive reports of misconduct related to the KFA. To root out opaque administration and corruption, and to rebuild Korean football on a foundation of transparency and integrity, I ask for the courage of the Korean people and football fans to come forward with information. Thank you." ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

SEEKING ATTENTION TO A SEXTORTION GANG THAT HAS ALREADY CLAIMED A LIFE A court in Delhi has initiated Perjury proceedings against a woman called Neha Mohan for lying on oath and filing a #falserape case against a man. She did this in order to extort money from him but he fought back and today a case has been filed against her. In a brilliant judgment passed by Additional Sessions Judge Anuj Agarwal, he observed that the case filed by this woman was totally unbelievable, full of contradictions & that she lied on oath. He also observed how it is not appropriate to just acquit a man from such a false case but punish a complainant who abuses the law. He said doing equal justice means hearing the complainant but also attending to unheard cries of a man who has not committed the crime he is accused of What is shocking is that this woman Neha Mohan & a man, her so called Boss Jitender Dhankar alias Jeetu who became a witness in this case are both accused in an extortion and abetment to suicide case where they both trapped another man in similar manner but he died by suicide leaving a note against them Just a Perjury proceeding is not enough for such people. They should be sent to jail for life. They have already claimed one life God knows how many more they will Kudos to Advocate Manisha Parmar for fighting for this man. If anyone knows these two people please share their photo with me. I want to expose them to the world. Also, DGP Haryana Police & CP Delhi #DilKiPolice Delhi Police should constitute an SIT to find out how many more such cases this gang has filed & initiate strictest criminal proceedings against them Reference Judgments :

The #HathrasPolice in #UttarPradesh have booked a 54-year-old professor and chief proctor of Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College for allegedly raping female students. The accused, identified as #RajneeshKumar, has been absconding after the police on March 13 filed a First Information Report (FIR) against him under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 64 (rape), and 68 (sexual intercourse by a person in authority), and section 66 (computer-related offences) of the IT Act. โ€œThe FIR has been lodged against the professor by the incharge of the industrial area police outpost. We are hopeful of his arrest soon, but at present, he has managed to escape soon after getting information about the police action against him,โ€ said Chiranjeevi Nath Sinha, Superintendent of Police. The complaint against Kumar, the geography department head, was submitted anonymously to the National Commission for Women (#NCW), higher police officials, and local representatives last year. The complainant also provided about a dozen photographs of the accused in objectionable position with several students from the college. Around 59 videos of the accused with students have surfaced on social media following the filing of the FIR. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Hathras city) Yogendra Krishna Narayan conducted an inquiry into the matter for nearly a month. He attempted to identify the students in the photographs but was unsuccessful. โ€œThe college authorities did not cooperate with the police during my investigation,โ€ he told the local media. The SP then handed the investigation to Additional SP Ashok Kumar Singh, who is believed to have discovered crucial evidence against the professor. He submitted his findings to the SP, who then instructed the local police to file the FIR and ordered prompt arrest of the accused. The college administration, however, has remained silent regarding the issue. Sources indicated that the professor faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment from students in the past, but he was able to suppress those complaints. This is the first instance in which an FIR has been filed against him.

The owners and a senior representative of #Bengaluruโ€™s popular #RameshwaramCafe have been booked after a flyer alleged that the eatery served him contaminated food at Kempegowda International Airport and later filed a false extortion case against him. According to the FIR, complainant Nikhil N was travelling from Bengaluru to #Guwahati on July 24 when he stopped at the cafeโ€™s Terminal 1 outlet around 7.42 am. He and his friends ordered Veg Pongal and filter coffee when he allegedly found a super worm in his food. He alerted the staff, who offered a replacement, but he declined as he needed to board his flight. Several customers recorded the incident on their phones, the complaint states. Nikhil said he left the cafe โ€œwithout creating any commotionโ€ and boarded his flight around 8.45 am. However, the next day, he learnt through media reports that a representative of Rameshwaram Cafe, identified as Sumanth BL, had filed a complaint accusing him of demanding Rs 25 lakh and threatening the cafeโ€™s brand reputation. Nikhil denied making any financial demand, refund request or threat. He claimed he was inside the aircraft at 10.27 am, the time cited in the cafeโ€™s complaint, and produced his boarding pass and travel records as proof. He also maintained that he has never been in contact with the phone numbers mentioned in the cafeโ€™s complaint. Police later clarified that they found no evidence of extortion or blackmail by Nikhil or his friends during their inquiry into the cafeโ€™s complaint. Following this, Nikhil lodged a counter-complaint seeking a probe into the alleged food safety violation and the โ€œfalse extortion case.โ€ He requested CCTV footage from 7:30โ€“8:00 am, flight travel records, call details linked to the numbers named in the cafeโ€™s complaint, and action against the owners. Based on his complaint, the BIAL police station registered an FIR on November 29 against cafe owners Raghavendra Rao, Divya Raghavendra Rao, and senior executive Sumanth Lakshminarayan. The FIR cites offences under Section 61 (criminal conspiracy), Section 123 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence), Section 217 (providing false information to mislead a public servant), Sections 228 and 229 (fabricating and giving false evidence), and Sections 274 and 275 (adulteration and sale of noxious food) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Nikhil has alleged that serving contaminated food endangered his life and that the subsequent counter-complaint damaged his personal honour and reputation. The investigation is underway.

Former special counsel Jack Smith told a House committee Thursday that he stands by the decisions he made in that role, "including the decision to bring charges against President Trump." In a hearing focused on Smith's investigations into President Donald Trump's mishandling of classified documents and role in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Smith said his investigation developed proof "beyond a reasonable doubt" that Trump had engaged in criminal activity. "If asked whether to prosecute a former president based on the same facts today, I would do so regardless of whether that president was a Democrat or Republican," Smith said. "No one should be above the law in this country," he added. The hearing is an opportunity for the career prosecutor to publicly offer his inside perspective on the investigations, which both led to unprecedented indictments. Both were scuttled once it was clear that Trump would return to the Oval Office; Department of Justice policy prevents prosecution of a sitting president. Republicans and the president have accused Smith of pursuing a politically motivated case against the president. Trump has denied wrongdoing while attacking Smith, calling him a "criminal" who ought to be investigated and "put in prison." Smith defended his investigations in an hourslong closed-door meeting with lawmakers in December, saying he said he had "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" of what his investigations laid out. He's denied accusations of bias.
