Congress dharna at Jantar Mantar isn’t for BCs - it’s to push Muslim reservations under BC guise. Congress wants to turn Hindus into minorities in Telangana. Kamareddy Declaration is no BC manifesto, it’s a full-blown Muslim Declaration. Congress is plotting to give 10% reservation to Muslims in the name of increasing BC quota by 5%. 100% of that quota will go to Muslims, not BCs. BCs are not backing Congress’ protest because they see through the game. Congress ruled India for 50 years. Did it ever make a BC the PM? In erstwhile AP, it ruled for nearly 48 years. Did it ever make a BC the CM? Only BJP has made Shri Narendra Modi ji who is a BC as the Prime Minister. Only BJP has appointed 27 BCs as Union Ministers and several BC CMs across India. Important points raised and we articulated by my colleague Dr Nishikant Dubey Ji in the Lok Sabha: In 2004, the Congress began the precedent of granting Muslim reservation in Andhra Pradesh. Although this was later struck down by the Supreme Court, reservations continue in Congress-ruled states such as Karnataka and Telangana. It must also be remembered that in 2011, the Congress abolished the SC/ST quota in Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia. This is the same Congress that opposed the Mandal Commission report and opposed EWS reservation.
