I am on my journey to different States of India to spread the truth about the current crisis in Manipur. Yesterday I was completely shocked on seeing the photos of Linthoinganbi and Hemanjit, so I had an urgent press meet today. It was a very unfortunate incident and I strongly condemn it, to the highest level. At a viral video before, whole world came forward to condemn it. But when Linthoinganbi and Hemanjit was killed brutally, all have became silent spectators. Is it because they were Meiteis? India And Indians!!! In Gummalakshmipuram village, Andhra Pradesh, warden Hema carried a student suffering from illness on her shoulder for 6 kilometers to the hospital. There are many places in rural Andhra Pradesh where roads are still a distant dream. This agency area of Parvathipuram Manyam district, is from the Araku region. It is a common practice to use “dolis” or to physically carry patients in emergencies. This child is currently receiving treatment in the ICU at Parvatipuram Hospital. As we are headed towards celebrating our 80th Independence Day, there are people still suffering for basics. At the same time, a majority of us who can fight for them are busy with religion & caste wars. Hema is a shining example of gems of humans we have in this country, it is also pathetic how they are left to lead lives like these.
