Kyle Morgan spent over twenty years in the Army. Infantry, then Green Beret, then more than a decade in the nation's premier special missions unit running hostage rescue. In 2015 he was advising the U.S. Embassy in Mali when terrorists took the Radisson Blu hotel. He built a team on the fly and went in. The award for that was the Distinguished Service Cross, second only to the Medal of Honor. Today he runs Blu Bearing, trains police and civilians, and serves on the board of Frontline Healing Foundation. When the job ends the machine has already forgotten about you, and he'll tell you that isn't cruel because it has to forget you to keep moving. The guys who come apart are the ones still trying to replace something that can't be replaced. He didn't leave the way he wanted to. There was addiction, a DUI he hid, and an overdose that nearly ended it, and his old command circled the wagons around him more than once before he finally made it out. Real Footage of Hostage Rescue – Delta Force Operation in Iraq (2015) Footage details the actions of Sergeant Major Thomas Payne and his Delta Force team during a high-risk hostage rescue operation. Together with Kurdish partners, they raided an ISIS prison to free over 70 Iraqi hostages facing execution. When suicide vests detonated and the building caught fire, Payne repeatedly entered the burning, smoke-filled structure under intense conditions — cutting locks and making multiple trips to evacuate every hostage. The team also acted as human shields during the extraction. Master Sergeant Joshua Wheeler was killed in action during the mission. For his extraordinary bravery, Thomas Payne was awarded the Medal of Honor on September 11, 2020.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa where his “real allegiances” lie, given his “past of being a terrorist.” Al-Sharaa, a former senior figure in al-Qaeda’s Iraq network who later founded its Syrian arm in 2011, said that if a terrorist is “one who kills innocent civilians… as happened in Gaza, where over 60,000 Palestinians were killed without cause,” and in “Iraq and Afghanistan where innocents were killed,” then it appears that those carrying out the mass killing of civilians are the ones applying the label to others. Nearly 25 years since the U.S. launched a war on Afghanistan, he added, people are now “aware of who the real terrorists are.”

The US would invade Afghanistan beginning a quagmire that would last over two decades, where estimated $2.13 trillion was spent, with the only winners being military-industrial complex executives. Iraq would be illegally invaded based on a pack of lies and deceit, 1 million Iraqis would die as a result of the war, with millions more displaced. Another $2 trillion was wasted in Iraq to decimate and privatise the country, leading to the rise of ISIS. The ACC just had an excellent season, with its premier program Clemson not contributing, but apparently they’re “secret garbage.” • National Championship appearance • Miami by themselves won as many CFP games as the entire 5-bid SEC. • Winning record vs. the SEC (for the second time in the last three years. Five consecutive wins over the SEC to end last season). • Virginia just won 11 games. • SMU is 20-7 in two years at the Power 4 level. • Georgia Tech had their best season since 2016. • Duke won 9 games for the third time in the last four years. • Louisville won 9+ games for a third consecutive season. • 9-4 Wake Forest just had their best season since 2021 in their first year under Jake Dickert. • FSU, in the midst of a 2-6 year in ACC play, smoked Alabama. Dabo Swinney and Clemson had a bad year for the first time since 2010 and weren’t in the mix at all, and the ACC was still extremely competitive. And the narrative is somehow that they are an “afterthought of a conference.”

12 DAYS OF BENGHAZI: DAY 9 - 3 of 4 SEAN SMITH Sean Smith is probably the man from Benghazi most people know the least about. That needs to change. Sean joined the U.S. Air Force at 17 years old. He served six years as a ground radio maintenance specialist, deployed to Oman, earned the Air Force Commendation Medal, and left the service as a Staff Sergeant. Then he kept serving. In 2002, Sean joined the State Department as an Information Management Officer. Over the next 10 years, his work took him to places including Baghdad, Pretoria, Montreal and The Hague. In September 2012, he was in Benghazi on a temporary assignment helping support the mission’s communications and information systems. But that was only one side of Sean. He was a husband to Heather and a father to Samantha and Nathan. He was taking college courses and still planning what came next. And if you knew him online, you probably didn’t know him as Sean Smith at all. You knew him as Vile Rat! Sean was deeply involved in EVE Online, where he became one of the best-known members of that gaming community. He built relationships, negotiated, solved problems and earned the respect of people all over the world. Then on the night of September 11, that online world collided with the real one. Sean was gaming and communicating with friends when the attack began. When his His messages suddenly changed. “FUCK” “gunfire” And then he went offline. In September 2012, he was in Benghazi on a temporary assignment helping support the mission’s communications and information systems. But that was only one side of Sean. He was a husband to Heather and a father to Samantha and Nathan. He was taking college courses and still planning what came next. The Israeli Air Force has destroyed a third of Iran's ballistic missile launchers and is managing to disrupt "extensive parts" of its attacks on Israel, IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin says in a press conference. He says that in the two barrages since last night, 65 ballistic missiles and dozens of drones were launched at Israel, most of which were intercepted, but three impacts killed eight people. Defrin says Iran wanted to launch at least twice as many missiles at Israel overnight. Overnight, 20 ballistic missiles were simultaneously targeted by the Israeli Air Force in Iran before they could be launched, he says. The IDF says that some 50 fighter jets and drones also identified and struck missile storage sites, and command centers where Iranian soldiers were gathered to launch the missiles. Since the start of the conflict, the IDF says it has destroyed over 120 Iranian ballistic missile launchers, which it says is a third of what Iran had. Additionally, the military says the IAF conducted waves of strikes in Isfahan, hitting over 100 military targets.

I found out that men in two families ahead of us were asked their religion and shot in front of my wife and son. My wife and son were screaming. I unlatched my belt and jumped down, took my wife and son and started running away. We saw people hiding at a spot which was like a pit, so you could not spot someone easily there. We too hid there. When firing halted a little after 8-10 minutes, we started running toward the main gate...The firing started again and 4-5 people were shot. 15-16 tourists were shot in front of us. When we reached the gate, we saw that the local public had already left. One pony guide took us away from there, we also soon found the Indian Army personnel before us. They gave cover to all the tourists...Army covered Pahalgam within 20-25 minutes. They gave cover to all the tourists within 18-20 minutes...We felt safe once the Army gave us cover...I am grateful to the Indian Army...9 people ziplined before me, but the operator did not say anything. When I was sliding, he spoke and then the firing started. So, I have my suspicions about that man. He said 'Allahu Akbar' thrice and then the firing started...He looked like a regular Kashmiri...Army presence was everywhere in lower areas, even in the forest.
