Today the India FTA is signed. It will then go back to Parliament to pass into law. Unfortunately only NZFirst oppose this awful deal, so it’s likely to go ahead. In the last few years we have seen masses of industry close. A large part of this is our high electricity prices, partly because of the green scam, but also because we have a sector that the electricity & generators and sellers are one and the same meaning they can manipulate the prices for maximum return. Timber and paper mills have gone to the wall, WP & Shane Jones went to Cabinet to get government to help, however Act and National wouldn’t support it. Watties will close at the same time tariffs for all processed and frozen foods from India will be dropped. Our vegetable market is worth 1.1 Billion a year. That’s worth more than what the India FTA deal is expected to add to our economy. 90% of the veges kiwis consume are grown here. This is about to change. We will start eating a lot more food processed in India and other third world developing nations. Highly productive farm land around NZ is being turned into tickey tacky subdivisions favoured by new immigrants. National is devoted to net zero, and Luxon this week celebrated that our emissions have been the lowest on record, that’s even lower than during lockdown. Last year for the first time in NZ history residential users consumed more electricity than industry. NZ industry is dying and National, Act and Labour are all for it. Once this deal is signed not only will we see an uptick of Indian migrants, but also an exodus of NZ manufacturers to India. As part of the FTA agreement and the 35billion NZ investment into India that it commits us to, the NZ govt has now openly encourage NZ business to offshore to India and to hire Indian staff. What is going to be left for the young people?

CBC contributor refuses to apologize over misinformation! Once again, the mainstream media has been caught lying—this time about Rebel News. When confronted, CBC contributor Chantal Hébert preferred to run away. Who still blindly trusts the mainstream media? Chances are, not you—after all, you're watching Rebel News, which means you already know that the mainstream media has abandoned its role as an impartial watchdog. They claim to be reliable news sources, but time and again, they prove otherwise. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has acknowledged that mainstream outlets, like CBC/Radio-Canada, act as mouthpieces for the Liberal government—pledging to defund the CBC. Meanwhile, the Liberals are doubling down on their propaganda machine. Heritage Minister Pascale St-Onge has even proposed enshrining CBC/Radio-Canada’s role as an official information source in law, while nearly doubling its per-capita funding. According to its own annual report, CBC/Radio-Canada received $1.4 billion in taxpayer funding last year. Under the Liberals’ plan, that could jump to $2.5 billion per year—money taken directly from Canadians, regardless of whether they watch or trust the network. Can United States manufacture robots? Matic Robots says "yes." It makes the best floor cleaning robot, that has won many perfect scores from Wired to many others. We love ours. But my trip there to get a tour from AI pioneer Navneet Dalal Navneet Dalal provided some real insights into how hard it is for a hardware company to make hardware in the United States. And how deeply AI is changing consumer electronics products that are going to be in many more homes soon. In this first part (Part II coming tomorrow) we get a look at how long it took for this company to go through prototypes to a shipping product. In the second part, you'll see the scaling hell that it takes to even ship a few thousand robots and the kinds of problems that scaling up a factory brings. Matic is one of my favorite small Silicon Valley companies. It has found what we call "product market fit." I just came back from CES where I saw many of its competitors, and the Matic wins because of not just the product thinking of Mehul and Navneet Dalal but because of their AI leadership. In a way their robot took many lessons from Tesla, from where to put the batteries to its bet on computer vision, which Navneet has been a pioneer in for years, working quietly behind the scenes. It is about to move into a new location that will allow it to grow to meet the demand that now is showing up (the boxes in its lobby show that it's outgrowing its current facilities). In terms of AI, it has aspirations of making a humanoid too, but it is taking a far more measured approach to getting there. By starting on the floor it can not just build world models based on real world data (customers are given a choice whether to allow its data to be used that way. Most customers choose to keep their data on the robot only, for privacy reasons, but if you opt in you can help them improve their models). They are using that data to understand homes. Navneet told me they hit very unusual situations in people's homes already that they couldn't really predict in simulators, like full-wall mirrors that confuse computer vision systems, or pools and water features in people's homes. Having real customers brings a ton of customer feedback about how to further improve the robot, and, as Navneet demonstrates in the second video, forces them to build a manufacturing muscle memory. Getting teams to work together, figuring out how to solve supply chain problems, from Trump's tarriffs, to a new one that showed up over the past couple of weeks. A supplier for its bags (one of the cheaper parts that goes into the robot) changed the glue it used, which caused robots to fail quality tests and the manufacturing line to stop. Reminds me a lot of the hell Elon Musk faced in its Fremont factory when Tesla was first starting to manufacture its Model 3, which almost bankrupted the company. Off the record Mehul and Navneet 🇮🇳 showed me some of the prototypes and plans for its next products that will show up over the next few years. Certainly not as sexy as Tesla, Figure, 1x_tech, and all the Chinese manufacturers are showing off already, but far better thought out for the typical Western home and AI plays a huge role in its future. It is the product that speaks for itself. It's amazing, and is about to get better this year due to AI. It's the first real vision-only robot to be in my home and I bet it won't be the last from this company. Real honor that they invited me over with my Insta360 camera (another company launched in my home, just like Matic was last year). In Part II we go into the factory.

The Court has done so. More than 130+ FIRs have been quashed today. BIG BIG WIN! They also requested the Court to record that no state or UT will file fresh FIRs against any protester and that no one will be targeted or harassed in the future for participating in the protests. The Court recorded the same thereby granting judicial protection. The Court was also requested by them to record that if any FIRs are missing from the list of FIRs they’ve provided, those too, upon identification, will be covered by this judgment and will stand quashed. The Court agreed. MOST IMPORTANTLY—Perhaps never in 80 years has the Supreme Court passed a ‘John Doe’ like quashing order protecting persons. With the three above, the Commitment Number 2 stands FULFILLED. They also requested that the compensation for the families will be provided, but that some time be granted. The Cockroach Janta Party agreed to a timeline of 3 months. The Court recorded the same, making it binding on the government of India to credit their accounts within 3 months. With this, Commitment Number 3 stands fulfilled to a great extent. We will continue to monitor the progress on this periodically. Accordingly, given that all the commitments have been honoured by governments requesting the Court for help, on behalf of the CJP, I made a statement before the three-judge bench that we are calling off the September 5 protest march in Delhi. The union government had requested us to make this statement. We accepted, in good faith. We would like to thank our honorary Queen Cockroach Vrinda Grover who stood by us from Day 1 and acted as our legal counsel to make this entire thing possible. Mamdani: I want to be clear: $5.4 billion is still a very steep mountain to climb. There are two paths we can take — one that offers long-term stability, and a second that would bring significant pain, which we deeply hope to avoid. The first path repairs the structural imbalance between the city and the state. We want to work with Albany to raise personal income taxes by 2% on the 33,000 New Yorkers earning more than $1 million a year, and to raise corporate taxes on the most profitable corporations. For far too long, New Yorkers have given far more to the state than we have received in return. It is time to end the drain. If we cannot pursue this first path, we will be forced onto a much more damaging path of last resort — one where we use the only tools at the city’s disposal: raising property taxes and raiding our reserves. This second path is painful. We will continue to work with Albany to avoid it. The first path delivers the structural change we need to recalibrate the relationship between the city and the state. As we know, New Yorkers contribute 54.5% of state revenue but receive only 40.5% back. At the same time, New York City’s share of the state’s GDP has grown by nearly 10% since 2010. That imbalance is untenable. Once again, I am calling on Albany to end the drain. There is no third option of failing to balance the budget. By law, ever since the fiscal crisis of the 1970s — which placed the city on the brink of bankruptcy — New York City has been required to balance its budget. We will do so. If we cannot pursue the first path, the only remaining option is the second. At the heart of this path is a property tax increase. This would effectively be a tax on working- and middle-class New Yorkers, whose median income is $122,000. The second path also requires us to raid our reserves. It would mean withdrawing $980 million from the city’s Rainy Day Fund in fiscal year 2026 and $229 million from the Retiree Health Benefit Trust in fiscal year 2027. These steps have been taken before, but only in moments of extraordinary external crisis — Mayor Bloomberg’s response to the 2008 financial collapse and Mayor de Blasio’s response to the revenue shortfall caused by the pandemic. We do not want to turn to such drastic measures to balance our budget.

And that would include a school, killing people on beaches with drones, hitting the Kremlin itself multiple times in drone attacks. So that's becoming more intense. Public opinion in Russia clearly is moving in a more bellicose direction. There are elections underway in Russia right now, which end September twentieth, the Duma elections, the lawmakers' elections. And it's very clear that more and more Russians, and it's hard to quantify this precisely, but are surprised and dismayed that their government is allowing attacks, not by Ukraine, but by Ukraine sponsors, NATO and the United States, against Russia. And it's not destroying the Russian economy, we haven't been able to do that, but it is hurting the Russian economy, and of course, it is a threat to ordinary Russians. 🚨People are getting killed on beaches by drone attacks paid for by the United States or NATO. And if those attacks are being targeted with coordinates given to the Ukrainians by the CIA, and that's exactly what's happening, then your average Russian is beginning to wonder, "Why aren't we doing anything about this?" And so there is mounting pressure on the leadership of that country, Vladimir Putin, who despite American and Western propaganda, is not an absolute totalitarian dictator, which is to say he can't make any decision he wants. He is subject to the opinions, influenced by the opinions of all kinds of different power centers within that country, including public opinion. So the point is, pressure is mounting on Putin to do something to stop these attacks on Russia. And of course, the people mounting the attacks, paying for them, it's not the Ukrainians, by the way, there is no real Ukraine anymore. Its population has been decimated in this war. The big decisions are made by outside powers. Ukraine has no sovereignty, unfortunately for Ukraine. But the, the people who are making the decisions, and that would include the CIA in the United States, the NSA in the United States, the heads of state of Great Britain and France and Germany and basically the rest of the West, those people clearly understand that we're moving toward some sort of more open conflict with Russia. And that's kind of the point. Push Russia to do something radical against the West, blow up Kiev, for example, the Ukrainian capital, hit Poland, maybe even lob some kind of weapon into Western Europe. And at that point, you get what they've wanted since day one, which is an open war with Russia that they expect that they'll win somehow. Which of course they won't. But the delusion that Western powers can control Russia by force is longstanding. I mean, many leaders have fallen to that delusion. 🚨Napoleon himself in 1812 famously invaded Russia, got all the way to Moscow, occupied Moscow for a month in 1812, and then retreated and destroyed the entire French army. Hundreds of thousands of French soldiers died on the march back to Paris. But totally undeterred, crazed with hubris, Napoleon continued to pick other wars, and in less than three years, he was defeated finally, famously, in a fight with the Brits at Waterloo and died at fifty-one in exile. And France was never again, to this day, a global power. 🚨So he destroyed France and the French Empire because he thought that he can control Russia through force. 🚨And of course, you know, a hundred and 30 years later, almost within living memory, the German government under Adolf Hitler did exactly the same thing in Operation Barbarossa and marched all the way to Moscow once again and was once again totally destroyed. So there's something about Russia -and the idea that outside powers can conquer it, take its resources or something, prevent it from becoming a global power, that is very alluring to Western leaders. In Ukraine, there are two camps. One stands for peace, the other for war. And it’s time we spoke about this openly. I believe the latter are fewer in number, yet far louder than anyone else. Of course — behind them stand enormous funds for propaganda and a license for impunity. They have thousands of talking heads, useful idiots, and people paralyzed by despair. They are ready to intimidate, harass, unleash bots, turn half the nation into “enemies of the people,” lecture and moralize, and teach you that your sons must die for the state. They insist that if you want the war to end, there’s something wrong with you — you’re naïve, stupid, or even insane. They claim there is no corruption, that all Ukrainians must remain poor, and that the conscription officers — which hunt men like animals and are notorious for torture and human rights abuses — are mere “Russian propaganda.” They say peace is impossible solely because of Putin, that the best hero is a dead hero, and that everyone shown on television is telling the truth. And then there’s the eternal message: “Just endure a little longer.” A few more months and we’ll win. Another six months and Russia will run out of resources. One more year and the war will be over. Every autocracy has had its propaganda. And every one operated on the same principle: silence, destroy, and hound the critics — while filling the media with the “right” people and the “right” messages. This summer, the last attempt this year to end the war will be made. It will be presented as American pressure, a betrayal of the Ukrainian people, especially Zelenskyy, or collaboration with Russia. They notice only the negative, and only when it’s time to shift blame onto someone else. As you may have noticed, according to Zelenskyy, everyone is guilty. Biden is guilty for talking about war and sowing panic. The West is guilty for not giving weapons on time. Trump is guilty for negotiating with Putin and trying to bring everyone to the table. Ukrainian men are guilty for not wanting to go to the front. Refugees are guilty for leaving and thus not being patriots. Critics are guilty because Ukraine is losing because of them. Deputy ministers, ministers, and long-time partners are guilty as they were caught in corruption. The only ones who are never guilty… are two specific people. I won’t name them. So this time, once again, everyone will be blamed. Zelenskyy will face a choice: either drag the war out further, or once again play the role of the unfortunate victim who, under pressure, is forced to do the unforgivable. We are offered various options to end the war, but our leadership rejects them all. The price of continuing the war is always the same — more rivers of Ukrainian blood, another horrific winter without electricity or heating, and hundreds of thousands more refugees. If this summer there is no peace agreement — any agreement at all — even a shaky ceasefire or a halt to large-scale shelling, the war will drag on at least until March. Because the United States, the only viable mediator and influential player, will be preoccupied with mid-term elections, then winter holidays, and then there will be the fifth anniversary of the war… Once again, we will be told to “endure a little longer,” and once again we will be fed stories about how Russia is about to collapse any day now. The people writing these messages are not stupid. They simply believe that we — all of us — are.
