Today, Kolkata witnessed a magnificent morning of harmony, wellness and unity as we hosted the Grand International Day of Yoga at our iconic Red Road ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ We were deeply honoured to have this mega event graced by Honโ€™ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who can be rightfully portrayed as Yoga's Biggest Ambassador on the Global Stage. Hon'ble Prime Minister led us from the front, making Kolkata the proud focal point of this year's International Yoga Day celebrations. This year's theme was โ€˜Yoga For Healthy Ageingโ€™ which emphasises the importance of performing Yoga for all age groups in order to remain fit and healthy. It was a joy to share this peaceful morning with the Hon'ble Governor, Hon'ble Union Ministers, my Cabinet Colleagues, esteemed Dignitaries and the thousands of enthusiastic Citizens who gathered to celebrate the spirit of well-being. It is profoundly fitting that one of the biggest events in the world, which connects millions of People across continents, is being held right here in Kolkata. Meetings with Saudi Arabia Minister & officials were excellent. Then I went to see Umrah facilities at holy Taif. Had a meaningful interaction with the Indian diaspora in Taif. Our fellow Indians, through their hard work & commitment have strengthened the bond between India & Saudi Arabia. Visited the historic Masjid Addas in Taif, where the compassion of Prophet Muhammad touched the heart of Addas from centuries ago. With its distinct Abbasid & Ottoman architectural charm, this serene mosque stands as a timeless symbol of humility, mercy & hope, values that continue to inspire hearts across generations. Honoured to visit the Al-Hanoud (Indian) Mosque in Taif โ€” a beautiful reminder of the centuries-old cultural & spiritual bonds. Its 12th-century AH origins and enduring legacy reflect Taifโ€™s vibrant multicultural history and the Indian communityโ€™s lasting contribution. Stepped into the sacred Masjid Abd Allah ibn al-Abbas in Taif, KSA, a landmark of faith, scholarship & history, often visited by Umrah pilgrims including from India. Named after Abdullah ibn Abbas, cousin of Prophet Muhammad & a revered Islamic scholar laid to rest here, the mosque dates back to around 630 CE. With its elegant minarets, serene courtyard & blend of traditional & modern Islamic architecture, it continues to embody Taifโ€™s timeless spiritual legacy. Finally, I went to the sacred Miqat and had pleasent meeting with the Mayor of Miqat city. Miqat Wadi Muharram serves as the point where pilgrims from Taif, Najd, the Eastern Province, and other nearby regions must assume the state of ihram for Hajj or Umrah. Pakistan today stands at the frontline of the global climate crisis. Despite contributing less than 1% of global emissions, we are among the worst victims of its consequences. In 2022, Pakistan endured a similar catastrophic disasterโ€”yet the urgency of climate justice remains unmet. Climate change is a shared challenge that demands cross-border collaboration and humanitarian solidarity. Tragically, instead of cooperation, India has chosen to weaponise waterโ€”undermining the Indus Waters Treaty and resorting to uncoordinated releases as a tool of war. These hostile actions compound human suffering and severely aggravate disaster response at a time when solidarity is most needed. At the same time, the Global North must meet its obligations and must support the Climate Adaptation Fund to help vulnerable nations like Pakistan invest in climate-resilient infrastructure, strengthen early warning systems, and build resilience in our communities. Without this global responsibility, the under developed countries will continue to pay the highest price for the worldโ€™s collective inaction. In this hour of trial, I stand shoulder to shoulder with the resilient people of Narowal and Punjab. Every possible effort will be mobilized for relief, recovery, and rebuilding with resilience. I also pray that the waters pass safely through the Indus into Sindh with minimal further damage. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my work, including my family and close friends, it has meant the world to me, especially as I transitioned into this new space and my work took a new direction abruptly haha. AI has significantly changed my life for the better. As a visual artist & filmmaker who lives on the fringe of creative expression and work spans a range of mediums and style, this is the first time in my life, where what I am doing has given me more than inspired drive, itโ€™s given me purpose. When I set out to make this film I wanted to tell a different kind of story, while also showing everyone what I envision for my work and the voice I wanna have as a filmmaker and artist. Time is so short in life, and often times we arenโ€™t lucky enough to find what Iโ€™ve found. So for me, thatโ€™s what drives me, along with the need to tell stories visually of course haha. But, that sense of purpose, I want to inspire people to want to be more. Not for success, but for self fulfillment. HE IS KING, is a powerful, AI-generated short film that reframes one of the most iconic moments in American history. Written and directed by myself, the film offers an emotionally intimate and visually groundbreaking exploration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the day of his legendary โ€œI Have a Dreamโ€ speech. โ€œHE IS KING" is witnessed as a cinematic moment, a glimpse, of a man, a message, and a movement. Told through an emotionally intimate story and unique perspective, the film follows Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the day of his most iconic address, the โ€œI Have a Dreamโ€ speech delivered from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. But it does more than document a moment we all know well, it pulls the audience into the soul of a leader preparing to speak truth to a nation on the edge of transformation, these moments are the moments histories most undeniable choices and creation around them, are rarely told or shown. From quiet moments writing in a candlelit church, to the silent prayer of a man alone with his thoughts, to the thunderous crescendo of a quarter-million people answering his call, "HE IS KING" honors the legacy of a man not as a monument, but as a human being carrying the weight of a dream. It captures the soul of a movement while reminding us that the dream never died with him, it evolved, rising through the voices of new leaders, and now, through innovations like AI, it has the ability to reach beyond time, across borders, and into the hands of future generations.
