A clash occurred between fans after the match between the national #football teams of #Armenia and #Georgia in Tbilisi. After the game, tensions ran high in the stadium, with Georgian fans storming the field and throwing objects toward Armenians. This match was part of the UEFA #NationsLeague play-off phase. The first leg in #Yerevan ended with a decisive 3-0 victory for the visitors. In Georgia, Armenia’s national team suffered a 1-6 defeat. One might be surprised by the level of hospitality shown by some fans of our neighboring country. No clashes were recorded in Yerevan.

Some facts for those who are delighted that the Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Hapoel Tel Aviv match was called off yesterday evening. I spoke to friends who were there, who confirmed: 1. Unruly supporters of *Hapoel* Tel Aviv seem to have been dispersed by Israeli police using what Hapoel says were heavy-handed tactics that resulted in injuries. The fans wearing red that you have seen in videos were Hapoel fans. 2. *Hapoel* fans also threw flares/pyrotechnics onto the pitch before the match, which pretty much fogged up the whole stadium. The flares were in the colours of Hapoel (red and white). This video was taken by a friend of mine who was in the Hapoel stands. 3. As you can see at 1:10 in the video, the *Maccabi* Tel Aviv (blue and yellow) stands are not involved. None of the disturbances with police or throwing of flares seem to have involved Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters, much to the frustration of those claiming that it vindicates the Birmingham ban. 4. Even if they were, hooligans are present in the fan base of most clubs and British police are well used to policing football matches — far better it seems than Israeli police.

One of the best parts of the work In The (D3FB) Huddle & I do for #d3fb is getting to meet new teams -- especially the players -- who we talk about all the time on our show. During our Pregame Show Thursday, UW-La Crosse Football players recognized me eventually and obviously had read "Quick Hits" on D3football.com (knowing that I picked against UWL in the game). As you could expect, this didn't set well with the UWL players, so they razzed me all pregame, during-game, and postgame about the pick & the score. However, it was all in great fun, and JB & I know how to laugh it off with the players. Below, you'll see a part of our Pregame Show where the UWL players took the field -- and let me have it as they were behind us -- and a part of our Postgame Show where during our @UWLCoachJanus interview, Nate Wilcher gave me one last blast from off camera. We brought him on our set and had a great impromptu moment with him. Again, all in great fun. UWL has a great team -- my pick deserved to be panned by them early & often. But more importantly, the team was respectful & appreciative of the work we do to promote them. That made all of our work yesterday a pure pleasure. We look forward to making the trek to Wisconsin someday -- or perhaps see them in Texas in January -- to continue to build this friendship. Thanks to Coach Janus & everyone associated with the team for a great time in Troy, along with the good folks at RPI Athletics & RPI Football who made sure our live shows could be a reality Thursday night.

The event is being run by Kevin and is going to be the opening presenter as well. This match against Chelsea, is my favourite Ange Postecoglou memory at Tottenham Hotspur. This was not just in regards to football, but also in regards to life. Watching Ange never back down from the Tottenham motto “Audere Est Facere” was a key changing point in my life. I learnt that, even when things don’t go your way or are seemingly impossible, you should never shy away from your true beliefs, or who/what made you. As Ange mentioned in the UEL final speech. At the top of the league, with 9 men, against one of our biggest rivals, Ange didn’t shy us away in a shell, he dared, and he did. He showed to us supporters a team that genuinely bleed Lilywhite, we hadn’t seen do that for many, many years. That’s why, after a 4-1 loss, Spurs were sent off to a standing ovation from the home support. This is why Ange means more than just football to me and so many others, he represents faith, confidence, and success. Gaffer.

As we close 2023/24 it gives us an opportunity to reflect on a brilliant season of one of our own! Robbie Gallagher: Following a great season in 22/23 for Wallingford and Crowmarsh FC Robbie signed for Didcot Town. Despite relegation Robbie has shone at Step 3 with a number of outstanding displays for Didcot Town Football Club. Robbie went on to win, Managers Player, Players Player, Young Player and Supporters player in a clean sweep at the end of season awards night. For us he achieved similar highs and has been recognised for his individual displays. He has nearly completed his HNC (1st year of his degree). Also achieved a winners medal in the National Football Youth League league along with a runners up medal in the National Cup Final. Despite losing the game Robbie was awarded the man of the match. And finally he was presented with Players Player for the 23’s on Friday night. A shining light in a very talented squad of players. What a season for this diamond of a lad! We couldn’t be prouder and look forward to his continued success in the game and beyond. He will go into the 24/25 season as a newly appointed staff member! Keep smashing it Robbie 🏆

I remember him as a young kid in our program at just 4 years old — and I remember his family even more. His father, Mr. Ed, never missed a practice when I came back to coach at the park. That kind of love, discipline, and consistency built the man we see today. Lavonte, you are everything our program stands for — class, character, work ethic, and leadership on and off the field. From Liberty City to JUCO to Nebraska to becoming one of the best to ever do it… that journey is what greatness looks like. My brother, you didn’t just make it — you made us proud.
