Matthew Schaefer is going to be a 40-goal scorer in the NHL. Did I lose you yet? No, of course not — because you know it too. We’re watching an 18-year-old rookie defenseman put up 21 goals through 69 games with the #Isles. Historic territory. But the harsh reality for the rest of the league is that his shot might be the most underrated part of his game. Schaefer’s shot toolkit plays like an elite shooting forward. The deception is next-level. He sells the pass or a low wrister, then manipulates the release point and trajectory mid-motion. Steps off the point, walks the line, changes the angle against the grain on his wrister, and picks corners that goalies are no longer set for. Excellent quick release combined with the ability to shoot through lanes or off bodies. His mid-range game stands out as one of the best among D this year and he’s generating high-quality chances from dangerous areas consistently. It’s hard not to stop and just say to yourself over and over again: He’s only 18. He’s only going to get better. He’s only 18. He’s only going to get better. He’s only 18. This isn’t just power-play fluff or lucky shooting percentage. He hasn’t scored an empty-net goal all season, either. He’s only going to get better. If he gets there, he’d be only the third defenseman in NHL history to ever score 40 goals in a season, joining Bobby Orr and Paul Coffey. As we dream of what could be, the reality is that the Islanders get to ride into their future on the back of a stolen unicorn. And one that’s only going to get.. better.

Big Hank is one of those dogs who just couldn’t fit in. When we first found him he had horrible flesh wounds and was full of maggots eating him. He wouldn’t have survived long. After getting him fixed up the answer from his “owners” was simple… keep him. After a lot of effort and luck I found him unbelievable owners in Bangkok who tried everything but it just didn’t work out with their 6 dogs. Despite their brilliant efforts and patience Hank was just too big and too disruptive. He come back to the sanctuary. I didn’t know what to do at that stage. He’s an older, bigger dog with a bad leg injury now and he doesn’t get on with other males. Chances of adoption were close to zero. Hank himself was also miserable. You could tell he’d just had enough in this world of not fitting in. Thats when I decided to bring Hank home. I’d recently had 4 dogs pass that I cared for with various life ending illnesses so the house was quiet. I only take in the ones who have no real options left. It turned out that myself and Hank needed each other in equal measure. Finally for the first time in his life Hank was home. He’s completely changed as a dog. I can’t explain how much he loves his home. Every single walk he sprints home at top speed the second he sees the house. He can’t get back inside quick enough. It’s just a simple couch, some food and some love but that’s all he ever wanted in his life. Love you big Hank.

Satya Nadella was asked what Microsoft does when its AI revenue 10x's from $13B to $130B. He refused to answer in revenue - and named the only AGI benchmark he says counts "The first thing we have to observe is GDP growth. There's only one governor in all of this" "This is where a little bit of, we get ahead of ourselves with all this AGI hype" "The developed world is what, 2% growth? And if you adjust for inflation, it's zero. We have a real growth challenge" "When we say this is like the Industrial Revolution - that type of growth means to me 10%, 7%, developed world inflation adjusted, growing at 5%. That's the real marker" "The big winners here are not going to be tech companies. The winners are going to be the broader industry that uses this commodity" "Us self-claiming some AGI milestone - that's just nonsensical benchmark hacking to me. The real benchmark is the world growing at 10%" The CEO with one of the largest AI infrastructure bets on earth just told you to ignore every model benchmark and watch a single number: world GDP. By that test, nothing has happened yet. Developed-world growth is flat, and no lab's press release moves it. Real AGI shows up as the economy compounding at Industrial Revolution rates - or it isn't real.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Tague Davis is the 2026 ACC Player of the Year. And honestly? It wasn’t even a debate. The sophomore first baseman from Louisville is putting together one of the greatest offensive seasons in college baseball HISTORY. He’s the national leader in home runs, RBI, and total bases and he didn’t just break the ACC single-season home run record, he shattered it, 34 and counting after breaking the record that Florida State legend J.D. Drew set back in 1997 . Through 53 games, Davis is slashing .364 with 34 home runs and 93 RBI and nobody is close. 19 of his 34 home runs have come in ACC play alone the most by any ACC player in the last 10 years. He has 6 multi-homer games. 14 home runs with an exit velocity over 110 mph. And nearly half of his homers have come with two strikes. That’s not just power that’s ELITE! As a freshman in 2025, he hit .283/.390/.571 with 18 home runs and 52 RBI, breaking Louisville’s freshman home run record and leading the ACC. He came back his sophomore year and went nuclear. His father Ben Davis was the 2nd overall pick in the 1995 MLB Draft. The bloodline is real. ACC Player of the Year. Golden Spikes frontrunner. And he’s only a sophomore. The Ville’s got one. And has to keep him! 🔴⚫️⚾️

Syracuse 6’9 Big William Kyle III has been one of the best defensive prospects in this years NBA Draft. Kyle has been one of the most impactful Bigs in the country this season averaging 11/8/1 while shooting 73% from the field. Kyle is also averaging 3.4 BPG and 1.3 SPG. Standing at 6’9 with a 7’3 wingspan and a 44 inch vertical his athleticism and length is one of the best in the class and it’s helped Kyle be an elite rim protector this season. Kyle has great timing when going for blocks, rarely fouling which is rare from an athletic rim protector, and he also has the instincts to be in the right place for a block. Kyle is also a versatile defender who’s switchable, and is great at reading passing lanes for steals. On the offensive end Kyle is one of the best and most efficient rim runners in the country starting the season with 25 dunks made and shooting 73% from the field. Kyle also isn’t just a dunker as well and is one of the most efficient non dunk finishing bigs shooting 68% on layups. Kyle is great at positioning himself as a lob threat in the half court, and he also has the ability to go up for put backs with his rebounding ability using his athleticism, or hitting a touch shot at the rim. Kyle is also a skilled passer for his height. Kyle is currently on pace to join Anthony Davis as the only High Major players since 2008 to have a BLK% of 10, a STL% of 2.5, and a TS% of 65. There’s not many bigs in this years class with Kyle’s mix of athleticism, rim protection, defensive versatility, efficiency at the rim, rebounding, motor and passing, and he’s been one of the best center prospects in this years NBA Draft.

He's right and I've made my peace with it. Arteta isn't looking for an elite goalscorer CF, that's why you see him going after Alvarez. For his CF, he prefers players elite at interplay and more "jack of all trades" like Havertz. It's very hard being an Arteta striker. To me, it's the hardest position in his system. You have to be great at facilitating and interplay while also being great aerially. But not only that, you gotta a great presser, able to rotate aggressively to even be a winger at times, run a lot as an outlet into space and still finish chances superbly. I don't know a single striner on Earth rn that does all this at an elite level. Mbappe doesn't press, Kane isn't a runner into space, Haaland isn't one to drop deep and interplay. Even trying to do all this has its wear and tear on the body, which is why many of our strikers get injured. It's why I'm more sympathetic to Havertz than many others. It's also why it's a mini-miracle Gyökeres scored 21 goals last season. In terms of raw talent/materials available to develop those interplays while also maintaining high finishing, Kroupi is the gold standard we need to chase. But he's not aerially trustworthy (still better than Alvarez aerially). You'll never get a striker that ticks all the boxes for the ideal striker in Arteta's system, so it's all about picking what you prioritise.

Bryan Johnson came on Moneywise! Reveals entire net worth and his spend. That’s cool. But a bigger takeaway: his reason for doing this entire thing is to be remembered in 2500. I think having a mission like that outside of money - so good. Also…this is the first time on Moneywise that we did video. Some stuff from the pod: Most people know him for selling Braintree for $800M and starting Blueprint, his longevity protocol where he’s trying to reverse his age. But here's the surprising thing - from age 21, his only goal was to earn the respect of the 25th century. He wants to be one of the 10 people from our era that future generations actually remember. Money was only ever a tool. His view is simple: in 500 years, no one will care how rich you were. Don't Die (his current project) isn't about fear of death - he's actually at peace with dying. It's about creating what he believes will be one of humanity's most important ideological shifts, right up there with the printing press and industrial revolution. In this episode, he breaks down the real numbers: how he deployed his wealth, what he keeps liquid vs illiquid, and why he passed up easier paths to billions to pursue something he thinks will actually matter centuries from now. Check it out on YouTube and let me know what you think.

ENZO MARESCA’S PRE-CONFERENCE TODAY AHEAD OF THE TRIP TO LINCOLN. Enzo Maresca on Cole Palmer🔵 Cole is probably is the only one that we need to assess a little bit. The rest are okay, just to recover from the last week. He did already a huge effort to try to play the game. He wants to be there to help his teammates in that kind of game. It's more day by day, week by week, game by game, to see how he is. Enzo Maresca on the game against Manchester United🔵 The game is dictated from the red card. When it was 10v10, we had almost 70% possession. I hope we don't have any more games with 10 players after 3-4 minutes. Enzo Maresca🔵 Anyone can say what they decide to say, it's not a problem. I think we improved a lot last season. We closed the gap. This season, the main target, is to continue to improve the players and team, and close the gap. Enzo Maresca on Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia🔵 They are not back for this game, unfortunately. They both took part of the session yesterday. Hopefully they can be available soon. Enzo Maresca🔵 In this moment, Dario and Romeo is injured, so we cannot give Moises Caicedo a rest. I don't think it's random the amount of injuries we have alluding to the Club World Cup. Enzo Maresca🔵 You can sleep very easy in these kind of games. Football is full of these games. I am very worried about that. For sure, we will have some players from the academy, like we have always done.

I have a story to tell you about how one person altered the course of history without even knowing it. Stay with me for a minute. In 1977, when Menachem Begin was elected Prime Minister of Israel, John Hagee was a young man in Texas. His pastor said, “We’ve got five tickets to go to Israel. Who wants to go?” He raised his hand and he went to Israel. He was there for a week, had an amazing time. The last day, they go to the Kotel, and he’s praying at the Kotel, and something told him to turn to the right, and there was a very elderly gentleman, Jewish, with a kippah, in a wheelchair, eyes closed, crying and praying fervently. And he said that something told him to speak to this man. Now, the man spoke halting English. Hagee spoke no Hebrew. Somehow they spoke for 5-10 minutes. I said, “Pastor, what did you talk about?” He said, “I have no idea. But based on those five or 10 minutes, I knew that I had to change the entire trajectory of my life and devote it entirely to saving and protecting the Jewish state and the Jewish people.” And that's what he has done every single day since. This elderly man, of course, would never know the impact that his decision to go to the Kotel that day would have on the future trajectory of the Jewish people or the Jewish state. But that man he was speaking to—Pastor John Hagee—now sits in the Oval Office and meets one-on-one about Israel with the President of the United States. Pastor Hagee recently announced that Christians United for Israel has surpassed 10 million members. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s more people than there are in the entire state of Israel—Muslim, Christian, and Jew. That’s almost twice as many Jews as there are in the entire United States. That's more Jews than exist in the entire diaspora in the world outside of Israel. Any person has it within his or her grasp to change the world. You need only believe it and speak up everywhere and anywhere that you can.
