Peter Drury 🗣️: “He yelled: "Montiel... Argentina, champions of the world. Again. At last. And the nation will tango all night long. 36 years ago since Maradona and Mexico, here finally is a nation's new throng of immortals. Scaloni will be fated, Messi will be sainted. France this time denied... defied." "Lionel Messi has shaken hands with paradise, The little boy from Rosario, Santa Fe, has just pitched up in heaven. He climbs into a galaxy of his own. He has his crowning moment and of course he is not alone. And one feels for Mbappe, who scored a World Cup final hat-trick and lost. How can that be?" Lets relive that night again🔥🐐🏆

WHY Lamine Camara Could Be The Perfect Partner For Moisés Caicedo... Chelsea already have one of the most press-resistant midfields in the Premier League. But the problem is that too much of their midfield security often depends on Moisés Caicedo doing everything. That’s where Lamine Camara becomes interesting. The Senegalese midfielder is excellent at receiving under pressure, escaping tight areas with quick feet and keeping possession moving through simple, intelligent passes. He isn’t a regista or a Hollywood passer, but he gives Chelsea something arguably more important: control under pressure. In a 3-4-2-1, a double pivot of Caicedo and Camara could give Xabi Alonso two midfielders capable of rotating responsibilities. One can jump into the press. The other can cover the space behind. That could make Chelsea more flexible, more secure and far less reliant on one midfielder to protect the entire structure. There are still concerns. Camara is not dominant aerially, can be outmuscled physically and still needs to improve his final-third output. If teams bypass Chelsea’s press directly, the centre-backs may need to step out aggressively to contest those duels. But at a reported £51m, the Telstar Transfer Index suggests this could be excellent market value, especially when compared to Moisés Caicedo’s inflation-adjusted fee. Chelsea fans, could Camara be the perfect partner for Caicedo? 👀🔵 📹Samson Kalnińş Brough

Dan Orlovsky on how big of an impact Mike Evans will have on the 49ers: “He’s gonna be to Brock Purdy what Davante Adams was to Matthew Stafford… There’s one quarterback in the last 20 years in the NFL that has completed over 50% of his throws that he has thrown into the end zone and that’s Brock Purdy. Now you add Mike Evans? How many corners truly can you put out there by themselves at the 3 yard line and say 'you go cover Mike Evans one on one', there aren’t many. So you’re going to get so many easy touchdown passes down in the red zone. And then you’re going to get so many easy looks for Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.” 🎥: Get Up

🚨🚨MANCHESTER CITY MIDFIELD UPDATES: Bouaddi, Rodri and Enzo discussed!!🤯 ✅Ayyoub Bouaddi: Bouaddi is not starting for Lille today against Everton, as the deal with Lille to join City is very advanced.🔜 Man City are waiting to complete the midfield exits (e.g Reijnders, Rodri) before any final decision. He is expected to join NOW. 🆕Rodri: Barcelona have sent their THIRD BID to Man City. The two clubs are in direct talks, and will continue over the next 24-48 hours on if a final agreement can be reached.✅ Barcelona are confident that this deal will be done in the next days. Rodri is also PUSHING HARD for it to be done. 💰Enzo Fernandez: The feeling is that Man City have not completed closed the doors to Enzo Fernandez despite the "deadline" over. City have been in contact with Enzo's camp TODAY and they can still try. However, Chelsea are in control of the price and the entire situation. They are also more than happy to keep the player. WHY Maxence Lacroix Could Fix Chelsea’s Biggest Problem… Chelsea have not struggled to create chances. They have struggled to stop good ones. Last season, Chelsea consistently gave opponents high-quality looks at goal, especially in transition. Too often, one broken shape or one lost duel turned into a clear chance. That is where Maxence Lacroix could change everything. He is one of the quickest centre-backs in the Premier League, dominant in the air and elite when it comes to positioning himself inside the box. He is a front-foot stopper who can step into duels, engage strikers early and still has the recovery pace to deal with runners in behind. That profile could be perfect for Xabi Alonso’s system. In a back three, Lacroix could become the central reference point: protecting the penalty area, winning first contacts and allowing Reece James and Levi Colwill to operate either side of him. He is not the most expansive passer, and Chelsea will need to protect him from being isolated in possession if he plays as a wide centre-back. But this signing is not about turning Lacroix into a quarterback. It is about giving Chelsea the athletic, positionally reliable defender they have been missing. Chelsea fans, could Lacroix be the leader this backline has needed? 👀🔵 📹Samson Kalnińş Brough

Javier Mascherano on why Lionel Messi broke down in tears after the final whistle against Spain in the FIFA World Cup final. 🗣️ Javier Mascherano: “After the match, I went straight to Leo. I hugged him and didn’t say anything for a few seconds because I knew there were no words that could take away that pain. When he finally spoke to me, he said something that broke my heart.” “He told me, ‘Jefe, these tears aren’t because we lost the World Cup. Of course losing hurts, but that’s not what’s breaking me. I’m crying because this might be the last time I ever wear the Argentina shirt. That’s the pain I can’t accept.’” “When he said those words, I couldn’t hold back my own tears. People think footballers only cry because they lose trophies. They don’t understand. Sometimes you’re crying because you know a chapter of your life the most beautiful chapter is coming to an end.” “I’ve known Leo for almost my entire career. I’ve seen him lift trophies, lose finals, face criticism and silence the world. But I’ve never seen him look the way he looked that night. It wasn’t the face of a man defeated by Spain. It was the face of a man saying goodbye to the jersey he loves more than anything.” “He kept looking at the Argentina badge on his chest. He touched it, kissed it and whispered, ‘I gave you everything I had.’ There wasn’t a single person in that dressing room who could look at him without crying.” “If that truly was his last match for Argentina, then the world didn’t witness the end of a football career it witnessed the final page of the greatest international story this sport has ever known. No trophy can measure what Lionel Messi gave to his country. He didn’t leave with just tears in his eyes; he left having given every last piece of his heart to Argentina.

Valentín Barco on Jude Bellingham allegedly slapping him on the back of the head after Argentina’s World Cup semi-final victory over England. 🗣️ “After the final whistle, I was celebrating with my teammates when I suddenly felt someone slap me on the back of my head. I turned around and saw Jude Bellingham. For a second, I couldn’t believe it.” “I understand the emotions after a defeat like that. England were only minutes away from a World Cup final before Messi turned the game around. But frustration is never an excuse to lose control.” “That slap didn’t hurt me. What hurt England was watching Argentina come back from 1-0 down and book another place in the World Cup final. That’s the reality they have to live with.” “We celebrated because we earned it. We fought until the very last whistle, we never stopped believing and we completed the comeback against one of the strongest teams in the tournament. Nobody can take that away from us.” “I’ve always respected Jude as a footballer, but in moments like these you have to accept defeat with dignity. That’s what the biggest players do.” “He may have slapped the back of my head, but he couldn’t stop us celebrating. The only thing England were taking home that night was heartbreak, while Argentina were taking another step towards World Cup history.”

🚨Fabrizio Romano 🗣️To Chelsea, but it’s part of the conversation. Garnacho could go to Aston Villa, and now the Aston Villa-Garnacho deal is done, completed, and it’s a “here we go.” My understanding—and it’s an important point, so let’s enter into all the details of the story—is that it’s a loan with an obligation to buy, with the salary covered by Aston Villa. Chelsea sources believe that the obligation to buy is very, very easy—extremely easy—almost a guarantee that Alejandro Garnacho will sign permanently for Aston Villa in 2027. So that’s an important condition and an important point. There is practically a guaranteed obligation to buy, and Garnacho is expected to be an Aston Villa player by 2027. The contract he signs now with Aston Villa, with the potential guaranteed permanent move in 2027, will be valid for several years. Then, the role of Unai Emery. Garnacho was in Birmingham today, and he met with Unai Emery before giving the final green light to the deal. But my understanding is that, in the last two or three days, Unai did an incredible job. The initial idea of Alejandro Garnacho was not to reject Aston Villa. His idea was to leave England and try a different chapter—maybe Italy or maybe Spain. He was in negotiations with Roma. But then Unai Emery changed the story. Emery spoke to Garnacho, Emery wanted Garnacho, and Emery believes Garnacho can do fantastically well at Aston Villa. This was the driving factor in getting the deal done. So, Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa is a “here we go.” The two clubs have also been in contact about Nicolas Jackson, who is a potential target for Villa. Let’s see whether Chelsea want to give the green light or not. I also want to discuss Chelsea quickly because it’s true, as reported by the English media, that in the last 24 to 48 hours, Alex Scott is a player Chelsea approached. Chelsea tried to understand the situation around Alex Scott, but Bournemouth do not want to sell the player. So, at the moment, the door is still closed, but Chelsea tried for Alex Scott. Chelsea are still looking to do something important in midfield. Chelsea’s next bomb after Morgan Rogers could be a new midfielder. Apart from the centre-back situation—we know about Lacroix—and apart from what they are exploring in other positions, midfield is something we should not underestimate. Chelsea will also be busy in that position. Then, talking about the “here we goes” of the day, guys, just quickly… #NG67

The top prosecutor in Los Angeles County announced that singer D4vd has been charged with three felonies for the death of a 14-year-old girl whose body was found in the trunk of his impounded Tesla last year. D4vd, legal name David Anthony Burke, faces a possible death sentence for the first-degree murder charge for the the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez under three special circumstances: lying in wait, committing the crime for financial gain and murdering the witness in an investigation. The 21-year-old Houston native was arrested last Thursday at a home in Hollywood. His lawyers released a statement saying he's innocent. He's to be arraigned today at 1:30 p.m. in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The charges allege he murdered Celeste on April 23, 2025, after she went to his home in the Hollywood Hills. Her family reported her missing a year before, on April 5, 2024. Her remains were found in Burke's car on Sept. 8, 2025. "Before I get into the description of these charges and their seriousness, I want to look at this as a parent. I am a parent of three children, and a parent's nightmare is a situation where your daughter goes out one night and never comes back," Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at a press conference this mornning (Monday, April 20). "Celeste, a 14 year old at that time, went to Mr. Burke's house in the Hollywood Hills. She was never heard from again. "Hochman said Burke killed Celse "to maintain his very lucrative musical career that Celeste was threatening on that particular night." That's the basis for the financial gain circumstance as well as the circumstance of murdering a witness to an investigation. "In this particular case as the evidence will come out in court, the witness to the investigation was Celeste, and the investigation was into the lewd and lascivious sexual acts committed by Mr. Burke that is the subject of count two of this complaint with Celeste while she was under 14 years old," Hochman said.

‼️🚨🔵PRESSER🔵🚨‼️ 🎙 Liam Rosenior’s Full Pre-Crystal Palace Press Conference – Part 1/2 🔹 Liam Rosenior on Injury news: “In terms of sickness, the players are coming back to full health 🤧➡️💪. We had to be very careful with that. Thankfully the lads have come through that. Cole is in a good place, he joined training today which is really positive ✅. Jorgensen had his scan and it was positive 📊. He won’t be available for Palace but might be for Napoli.” 🇮🇹 🔹 Liam Rosenior on Disasi and Sterling: “We know the last week of January can get very busy 📅🔥 but no, there’s nothing to report. For me, I want every player I work with to have the best career possible. Whether that’s here or elsewhere, those two are no different.” ⚽🤝 🔹 Liam Rosenior on how happy Palmer is: “I’ve had numerous conversations with Cole and he seems very happy to be here 😊. He’s a huge part in our long-term plans 🔮. My job and the club’s job is to get him into a situation where he can consistently perform to the level he wants to. There was frustration in the Brentford game. We need to look after him and that’s why I didn’t involve him in the last game.” 🛡️ 🔹 Liam Rosenior on whether Cole Palmer is 100% fit: “That’s my job [to get him there]. I need to look after the players 👥. Not just in terms of Cole, but there’s a number of players in the group to look after. I want us to be involved at the end of the season in big games and big competitions 🏆.” 🔹 Liam Rosenior on lessons from first games: “Loads in terms of individual performances, the improvements I have asked for — there have been very positive signs 📈. There are loads of lessons for me and my staff to learn. I’m loving it ❤️.” 🔹 Liam Rosenior on if it’s a good time to play Palace: “It can be reported in that way but what I do know is that they’re an outstanding team ⚔️. Selhurst Park is one of the most difficult places to play in the Premier League 🏟️🔥. We are not taking the game lightly. I know what a good team they are. We are going to have to be very good to win the game.” #CFC | #Chelsea | #CRYCHE | #Interviews 📲 CFC_ChelseaFC via Telegram

🚨New: Sir Alex Ferguson on the Messi, Pele, Maradona and Ronaldo GOAT debate: • Interviewer: Sir Alex, the debate never ends — Messi, Pelé, Maradona, Ronaldo. Who is the greatest of all time for you? 🗣️Ferguson: “I’ve been asked this question more times than I can count over the years, and for a long time I refused to give a straight answer because the debate was still open. It isn’t open anymore. Messi’s World Cup in 2022 was the final piece. Before that tournament he already had everything else, the Champions Leagues, the league titles in different countries, the Ballons d’Or, the individual brilliance that no one could match. The only thing missing was the World Cup. He went and got it. When a player completes the full set like that, the conversation changes. He has now completed football. Every major trophy, every individual award, every level of the game. That closes the debate for me. Because of that completion, Messi sits clearly above Pele, Maradona and Ronaldo. I’m not saying the other three weren’t great. Of course they were. But the ledger is now complete for Messi in a way it never was for the others, and that has to count. Now, people will jump on the fact that Cristiano was my player. He was. He is still my boy in many ways. I have huge affection and respect for him, the hunger, the work rate, the way he rebuilt himself season after season. That part is emotional for me. But the ranking itself is no longer emotional. It’s factual. You separate the personal from the professional when the evidence is this clear. Let’s be honest about what Cristiano is. He is the more adaptable, all-round player. Different leagues, different systems, different styles of play. He could score with either foot, with his head, from distance, from six yards. He could lead a dressing room, he could carry a team on pure willpower, and he stayed at the highest level for an absurd length of time. No serious person denies any of that. Physical dominance, leadership, versatility — he has those qualities in abundance. But adaptable is not the same as greatest. In pure footballing terms — the genius of the first touch, the vision, the consistency at the absolute peak for over a decade, and now the complete trophy case — Messi is on another level. Ronaldo is not close in that specific sense. One is an extraordinary athlete and competitor who maximised every ounce of his talent. The other is simply a better footballer. That’s the distinction. Pele and Maradona were gods of their eras, no question. But the modern game is harder, deeper, and more athletic. The athletic demands, the tactical organisation, the quality of opposition week after week, it’s a different beast. Messi dominated a far stronger era for longer than either of them managed. That has to be recognised. I’m not sentimental about this. Sentiment is for fans and for the media. When you strip it back to what actually happened on the pitch and in the trophy cabinet, the answer is clear. Cristiano is an extraordinary athlete and competitor. Messi is just a better footballer. You can love Ronaldo more. You can respect him more. You can prefer his story, his personality, his work ethic. All of that is fair. What you cannot do is put him above Messi anymore. The ledger is closed.” Cristiano is an all-time great. Messi is the greatest. That’s just how it is now.”

"I'M DYING" SAID THE 92-YEAR-OLD PENSIONER AS HE WAS TASERED & PEPPER SPRAYED BY POLICE 🔴An inquest into the death of Donald Burgess, a wheelchair-bound amputee suffering from dementia has found the actions of the two police officers may have contributed to his death 🔵Police had been called to Park Beck Residential Care Home in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, after reports the pensioner had flicked food at staff and had refused to put down a butter knife. 🔴Within just one minute and 14 seconds of arriving, they had discharged the Taser at the wheelchair-bound man. PC Smith then hit Mr Burgess with the baton before emptying almost a full can of PAVA spray into his face. 🔵Following the incident PC Smith was charged with two counts of actual bodily harm while PC Comotto was charged with one count. Last year both officers were cleared of charges of assault after a trial at Southwark Crown Court. 🔴You really cannot HATE the Police enough can you? They didn't need to pepper spray him or taser him, yet they treated him like a violent criminal. You just know full well had the OAP not been British they wouldn't have treated him like this 🔵Ultimately both Police Officers should be sitting in a prison cell for a very long time, however the UK is a joke of a country and no doubt they will get a slap on the wrist 🕊️REST IN PEACE DONALD BURGESS🕊️
