Thierry Henry 08/09 games vs Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Villarreal (La Liga top 6): Henry scored 11 goals, Eto'o scored 6 6-2 title decider at the Bernabeu. Henry scored the equalizer, won the freekick for the lead, scored to make it 4-2, threatened outside of goals. Eto'o did almost nothing in 90 mins. Henry also had superior g/a per 90 in La Liga overall. Henry scored the only goal in the first away leg against Lyon which was 1-1 - that's a huge goal. In the 5-2 second leg he scored the first goal and assisted the 2nd, so the 2 goals that gave them breathing room vs a good Lyon side. Also did well vs Bayern in the 4-0. This is a heavily declined Henry in his final decent season, playing as a touchline winger vs a prime Eto'o mostly playing in his preferred role. Shameless shameless narratives. It just took me to the point where he is more complete in terms of the most important part of the game. The thing that tips it over the edge even more is that international record, of the most international goals ever. The fact that he’s won five Champions Leagues with teams that aren’t even as good as Messi’s team. Messi’s won more league titles with that Barcelona team, but I just feel that the international goal record and the Champions Leagues, aligned with the variety of goals that he scores, even though they’re very similar [in overall numbers], takes me to think that he is the greatest player of all time. 🗣️I looked at his goal breakdown. The club is pleased to announce the signing of winger Billy Fewster, Billy joins the club after his departure from Alfreton Town After spending his younger years at Leeds United Billy made the move to Nottingham Forest where he made a handful of first team appearances. Whilst on the books at Nottingham Forest he enjoyed a loan spell at Scunthorpe United. You see the goal against Cape Verde, the heavenly first touch? the strike against Algeria, the way he brought down that shot against Egypt, these are recent wow goals from just last month😂 not penalties or tap ins, he also doesn’t try to steal people’s goals😂😂. Should we be talking about Ankara Messi, the amount of times he’s repeated Ankara Messi not just against Getafe, but against Atletico, do you know the number of solo goals Messi has scored where he’s driven the ball from midfield to beat multiple players? Guy you’re not even scared 😂😂 Is it the mad chip against Real Betis from outside the box, the chip against Madrid to announce himself, the solo goal against Madrid in the UCL, the free kick against Allison or the dribbling to place the ball against De Gea?
