Here's the entire translated speech. It's worth the read and also a good primer for those unfamiliar with the problems/corruption of the KFA: "To the people of Korea, football fans, and my fellow lawmakers, I can barely contain my anger. What we are feeling today goes far beyond disappointmentโ€”it is devastation. The catastrophic collapse of Korean football at this World Cup was not an accident. It was a tragedy that many saw coming. First and foremost, I want to express my deepest respect and gratitude to our national team players, who gave everything they had on the field. We will never forget your sacrifice, your effort, and your commitment to representing our nation. However, Head Coach Hong Myung-bo, who failed to deliver, and the Korea Football Association, which protected him as a shield to preserve its own power, must now face judgment without excuses. In September 2024, I warned that the appointment of Hong Myung-bo was the product of backroom deals and organized collusion. Yet the Korea Football Association ignored those warnings. It refused to cooperate fully with parliamentary investigations, withheld documents, and misled both the National Assembly and the Korean people. When football fans demanded answers, Chairman Chung Mong-gyu and the entrenched leadership of the KFA responded not with accountability, but with arrogance. They shut out the voices of the people and acted as though they were beyond criticism. Two years ago, they attempted to cover up the crisis by sacrificing a few individuals while leaving the system itself untouched. That arrogance allowed a broken structure to remain in place, and today we have witnessed the inevitable result: Korean football has become the subject of ridicule on the world stage. But let me be clear. This is not a problem that can simply be solved by the resignations of Chairman Chung Mong-gyu and Coach Hong Myung-bo alone. As Park Ji-sung and commentator Park Moon-sung have both lamented, as long as an entrenched cartel that values power over competence continues to dominate Korean football, there is no future for the sportโ€”not even one percent. Let me repeat that. This crisis cannot be resolved through symbolic resignations. The Korea Sports Council must also accept responsibility. No one should be allowed to use the resignation of a chairman or head coach as an excuse to avoid uncovering the full truth or escaping accountability. Even if it means enduring a difficult period while preparing for next year's Asian Cup, the only path forward is the complete dismantling of the Korea Football Association's current structure and rebuilding it from the ground up. Therefore, I strongly call for the following. First, everyone under Chairman Chung Mong-gyu's leadership must immediately resign and accept full responsibility for both this disaster and the subsequent cover-up. Second, everyone involved in Hong Myung-bo's appointment must fully disclose the truth about the backroom negotiations, illegal practices, and unfair procedures that surrounded the hiring process, and cooperate without exception in a thorough and impartial investigation. Third, I call on the government and the Korea Sports Council to immediately launch a comprehensive special audit of the Korea Football Association. Everyone connected to this entrenched system of privilege and favoritism must be held fully accountable under both the law and administrative regulations. Disasters are not repeated by chance. They are repeated when corrupt systems are allowed to remain untouched. We must take Korean football back from the hands of corrupt institutions and return it to where it belongsโ€”with the Korean people. I, too, will not back down. I will continue to fight for a full investigation without sacred cows and for genuine reform. Finally, together with the Sports Corruption Reporting Center, I will establish a dedicated Korea Football Association Corruption Reporting Center to receive reports of misconduct related to the KFA. To root out opaque administration and corruption, and to rebuild Korean football on a foundation of transparency and integrity, I ask for the courage of the Korean people and football fans to come forward with information. Thank you." ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

Impact After Term | 07 : Special Initiatives of the Finance Department | 02 : Economic Advisory Council โ€” Bringing Global Expertise to Tamil Nadu's Development Goals Major reforms are rarely shaped by a single viewpoint. The most successful governments create systems that challenge assumptions, incorporate diverse perspectives, and draw upon the best available expertise. Recognising this, the DMK Government led by Thiru. M.K.Stalin constituted the Economic Advisory Council in 2021. Conceived as a special initiative of the Finance Department under Dr. Dr P Thiaga Rajan (PTR), the Council brought together some of the world's most respected economists and policy experts to help Tamil Nadu navigate the economic challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and chart a path towards rapid, inclusive, and sustainable long-term growth. The Council comprised Nobel Laureate Prof. Esther Duflo, former RBI Governor Prof. Raghuram Rajan, former Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India Dr. Arvind Subramanian, development economist Prof. Jean Drรจze, and former Union Finance Secretary Dr. S. Narayan. Deliberately designed to reflect different schools of thought on economics, development, welfare, and governance, each member was individually invited by Dr. PTR and accepted the invitation without prior knowledge of the other members who would eventually serve on the Council. As a result, this initiative brought five distinct perspectives to some of Tamil Nadu's most important policy challenges, helping shape its long-term development agenda and institutional reforms. Working under the leadership of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Thiru. M.K.Stalin and in consultation with various Government departments, the Council contributed to policy discussions across education, healthcare, social welfare, industry, energy, information technology, and public finance. Its recommendations helped shape Tamil Nadu's COVID-19 third-wave countermeasures, the Illam Thedi Kalvi scheme to address learning losses among students, support measures for MSME recovery, improvements in local body finances, and reforms to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the power sector. The Council also contributed to data-centric governance reforms, Tamil Nadu's memorandum to the 16th Finance Commission, and strategies to strengthen the State's fiscal health. Notably, all five members of the Council contributed their time, expertise, and guidance entirely in a public-spirited capacity, without accepting any remuneration from the Government. โ€” Admin Team

Why are Koreans raging against Lee Kang In? ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Long post // Read ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿšจ Lee Kang In's play during the semi-final Jordan game is making the rounds in Korean online communities. Among many things, he is being blamed for playing a part in the concession of both goals. In this short clip, his part in the concession of the 2nd goal is shared. Netizens claim that Lee Kang In should have passed to Son Heung Min in this moment, and that Hwang In Beom even motioned to go that direction, but Lee Kang In out of spite dribbled to the right, and being surrounded by defenders passed off the ball to Hwang In Beom in a precarious situation, leading to the turn over which eventually led to Al-tamari's goal. Netizens claim that similar mistakes by Lee Kang In led to Park Yong Woo being in a position of losing the ball for the first conceded goal. It's not only these plays, but netizens--who have previously championed Lee Kang In's ball possession and technical plays--now are blaming Lee Kang In for being too individualistic and selfish in his play and not doing enough to be the playmaker. He's also being blamed for barely passing to Son Heung Mi in the Jordan game while Son Heung Min passed to Lee Kang In numerous times. Netizens are claiming that Lee Kang In's emotions to Sonny caused disruption for the Korean side, while Sonny was intentionally reconciliatory in his play, generously giving the ball to Lee Kang In many times. Finally, Lee Kang In is apparently quoted at some point to have said, "Whether I get selected to the National Team or not, it doesn't matter" That has soured the opinions of many netizens about him claiming that he lacks an understanding of the weight of being on the national team, and raises doubts about his sense of responsibility. It's also been raised that in the past at the young age of 18, he's spoken "informal korean" (considered very disrespectful in Korean culture) to senior members and that's caused some tension in the team. According to the opinion of the writers at Radio Korea News (Just one sample news outlet) the probability of Lee Kang In to be chosen to be on National team seems low and they have doubts whether key players such as Sonny, Minjae, and Hwang Hee Chan will join the team if Lee Kang In is chosen. In summary, there appear to significant doubts within the Korean community whether Lee deserves to be on the team and many appear to hold doubts whether the national team can function with a player like him. These are heavy thoughts. Whatever you make of their validity, these unfortunately appear to be the reasons behind the reactions of a significant portion of the Korean soccer community. ๐Ÿ˜” Source video - ( also / Radio Korea News

Respected Members of Parliament, distinguished leaders, and fellow citizens of India, I stand before you with humility and a deep sense of responsibility as a candidate for the office of the Vice-President of our great republic. Indiaโ€™s democracy was built on the supreme sacrifices of our freedom fighters and nurtured for decades by their vision. Today, as that democratic space shrinks and citizensโ€™ rights come under strain, it is our duty to defend the soul of our democratic republic. My candidature is not at all a personal aspiration but a collective effort to protect and strengthen our democratic fabric. Our first Vice-President reminded us, โ€œDemocracy is not merely a form of government; it is essentially an attitude of respect and reverence towards our fellow men.โ€ It is these words that inspire my resolve to carry forward a noble tradition. I bring decades of experience in public service. I understand both the spirit and functioning of our democracy. This experience equips me to serve as an impartial and dignified custodian of parliamentary traditions. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once said, โ€œThe strongest bond of unity is the common affection that we hold for our country.โ€ This bond has guided me in every stage of my journey and continues to motivate me to serve as an impartial custodian of our democracy. The Vice-President, as Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha, must embody this balance, wisdom, and neutralityโ€”principles I have always upheld by giving respect to every voice, across party lines. If elected, I will strive to make the Rajya Sabha a true forum of reasoned debate and constructive dialogue. Following the example set by our first Vice-President, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, I pledge to ensure that it remains a chamber of thoughtful deliberation in the national interest instead of avoidable discord. Democracy thrives on cooperation, not confrontation, and my strength lies in listening, mediating, and building consensus. In my vision, the Rajya Sabha must be a chamber where national interests are upheld above partisan concerns. As Babasaheb said, โ€œDemocracy is essentially a mode of associated living, of conjoint communicated experience.โ€ And I take inspiration from this vision that democracy must be a shared, collective journey. I have witnessed first-hand the challenges India facesโ€”economic reforms, social justice, climate change, and ensuring opportunities for our youth. The Vice-Presidentโ€™s office provides a platform to guide discussions on these issues with dignity and decorum, steering the Upper House toward policies that truly benefit citizens of this great nation, India, that is, Bharat. By ensuring fairness, I hope to elevate the quality of our lawmaking. Pandit ji, in his historic โ€œTryst with Destinyโ€ speech, envisioned a nation where โ€œfreedom and opportunityโ€ would reach every Indian. As Chair of the Rajya Sabha, I will work to align our debates with that dream. A key priority will be to keep parliamentary practices transparent, inclusive, and participatory so that disruptions donโ€™t overshadow deliberations. Our first Vice-President warned that disorderly conduct erodes public faith. Taking his caution to heart, I will strive to restore an environment where disagreement is expressed with respect and dignity. It should always be reciprocal. I also see the Rajya Sabha as a body that represents the long-term interests of the nation, free from immediate political compulsions. It reflects the idea of federalism and is known as the Council of States. As its Chair, I will encourage detailed discussions on reforms in education, healthcare, digital governance, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Ambedkar often reminded us that political democracy must be matched by social and economic democracy. It is this holistic approach that I wish to strengthen in our parliamentary functioning. Another area where I intend to contribute is in strengthening parliamentary committees. Committees are the backbone of effective lawmaking, and their reports often shape the final outcome of legislation. I will ensure that these committees, referred to by Pandit ji as โ€œthe workshops of Parliamentโ€, function with seriousness, independence, and a spirit of consensus-building. I will ensure that these committees do not become shops but function away from the glare of immediate political pressures. Indiaโ€™s parliamentary democracy has stood as a beacon to the world, but it demands continuous nurturing. I will strive to preserve its sanctity by upholding constitutional conventions and morality, ensuring neutrality in proceedings, and protecting the dignity of every member of the House, irrespective of their party affiliations. My role will be to guard the sanctity of the proceedings and not just interpret the rules of procedure. After all, democracy means dialogue, discussion and dissent. Babasahebโ€™s warning during the Constituent Assembly rings true: โ€œDemocracy in India is only a top-dressing on an Indian soil which is essentially undemocratic.โ€ This especially resonates after our experience with the regime that has favoured a few at the cost of crores of citizens of Indiaโ€”Dalits, tribals, backward communities, women, minorities, and youthโ€”who are increasingly being pushed to the margins. It is our duty to prove that democracy in India lives not just in emblematic institutions but in spirit. As Vice-President, I will dedicate myself to preserving the sanctity of our parliamentary system by ensuring absolute neutrality in proceedings and protecting the dignity of each and every member. Honourable Members, I seek your support not for myself, but for the values that define us as a sovereign democratic republic. In this election, there is no party whip, and the ballot is secret. It is not loyalty to any political party, but love for the country that must guide your choice. Each one of you carries the moral responsibility to preserve the conscience, the soul of our beloved nation. By entrusting me with this office, you will be choosing to defend parliamentary traditions, to restore dignity to debate, and to ensure that the Rajya Sabha stands as a true temple of democracy. This is not just a vote to elect your Vice-Presidentโ€”it is a vote for the spirit of India itself. Together, let us strengthen our republic and create a legacy that future generations will be proud to inherit. Now, it is for the people of India to decide. : Opposition parties' vice presidential candidate, former Supreme Court Judge, Shri B. Sudershan Reddy

#BREAKING: US President Donald Trumpโ€™s announces Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict: 1. Gaza will be a deradicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors. 2. Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough. 3. If both sides agree to this proposal, the war will immediately end. Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed upon line to prepare for a hostage release. During this time, all military operations, including aerial and artillery bombardment, will be suspended, and battle lines will remain frozen until conditions are met for the complete staged withdrawal. 4. Within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting this agreement, all hostages, alive and deceased, will be returned. 5. Once all hostages are released, Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1700 Gazans who were detained after October 7th 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every Israeli hostage whose remains are released, Israel will release the remains of 15 deceased Gazans. 6. Once all hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza will be provided safe passage to receiving countries. 7. Upon acceptance of this agreement, full aid will be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip. At a minimum, aid quantities will be consistent with what was included in the January 19, 2025, agreement regarding humanitarian aid, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, electricity, sewage), rehabilitation of hospitals and bakeries, and entry of necessary equipment to remove rubble and open roads. 8. Entry of distribution and aid in the Gaza Strip will proceed without interference from the two parties through the United Nations and its agencies, and the Red Crescent, in addition to other international institutions not associated in any manner with either party. Opening the Rafah crossing in both directions will be subject to the same mechanism implemented under the January 19, 2025 agreement. 9. Gaza will be governed under the temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people in Gaza. This committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body, the โ€œBoard of Peace,โ€ which will be headed and chaired by President Donald J. Trump, with other members and heads of State to be announced, including Former Prime Minister Tony Blair. This body will set the framework and handle the funding for the redevelopment of Gaza until such time as the Palestinian Authority has completed its reform program, as outlined in various proposals, including President Trumpโ€™s peace plan in 2020 and the Saudi-French proposal, and can securely and effectively take back control of Gaza. This body will call on best international standards to create modern and efficient governance that serves the people of Gaza and is conducive to attracting investment. 10. A Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energize Gaza will be created by convening a panel of experts who have helped birth some of the thriving modern miracle cities in the Middle East. Many thoughtful investment proposals and exciting development ideas have been crafted by well-meaning international groups, and will be considered to synthesize the security and governance frameworks to attract and facilitate these investments that will create jobs, opportunity, and hope for future Gaza. 11. A special economic zone will be established with preferred tariff and access rates to be negotiated with participating countries.

12. No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to do so and free to return. We will encourage people to stay and offer them the opportunity to build a better Gaza. 13. Hamas and other factions agree to not have any role in the governance of Gaza, directly, indirectly, or in any form. All military, terror, and offensive infrastructure, including tunnels and weapon production facilities, will be destroyed and not rebuilt. There will be a process of demilitarization of Gaza under the supervision of independent monitors, which will include placing weapons permanently beyond use through an agreed process of decommissioning, and supported by an internationally funded buy back and reintegration program all verified by the independent monitors. New Gaza will be fully committed to building a prosperous economy and to peaceful coexistence with their neighbors. 14. A guarantee will be provided by regional partners to ensure that Hamas, and the factions, comply with their obligations and that New Gaza poses no threat to its neighbors or its people. 15. The United States will work with Arab and international partners to develop a temporary International Stabilization Force (ISF) to immediately deploy in Gaza. The ISF will train and provide support to vetted Palestinian police forces in Gaza, and will consult with Jordan and Egypt who have extensive experience in this field. This force will be the long-term internal security solution. The ISF will work with Israel and Egypt to help secure border areas, along with newly trained Palestinian police forces. It is critical to prevent munitions from entering Gaza and to facilitate the rapid and secure flow of goods to rebuild and revitalize Gaza. A deconfliction mechanism will be agreed upon by the parties. 16. Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza. As the ISF establishes control and stability, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will withdraw based on standards, milestones, and timeframes linked to demilitarization that will be agreed upon between the IDF, ISF, the guarantors, and the Unites States, with the objective of a secure Gaza that no longer poses a threat to Israel, Egypt, or its citizens. Practically, the IDF will progressively hand over the Gaza territory it occupies to the ISF according to an agreement they will make with the transitional authority until they are withdrawn completely from Gaza, save for a security perimeter presence that will remain until Gaza is properly secure from any resurgent terror threat. 17. In the event Hamas delays or rejects this proposal, the above, including the scaled-up aid operation, will proceed in the terror-free areas handed over from the IDF to the ISF. 18. An interfaith dialogue process will be established based on the values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence to try and change mindsets and narratives of Palestinians and Israelis by emphasizing the benefits that can be derived from peace. 19. While Gaza re-development advances and when the PA reform program is faithfully carried out, the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we recognize as the aspiration of the Palestinian people. 20. The United States will establish a dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a political horizon for peaceful and prosperous co-existence.

UNCOVERING $300 BILLION IN UNACCOUNTED CRUDE OIL REVENUE Yesterday, as Chairman of the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Crude Oil Theft and Sabotage, I presented our interim report before the Senate. Our investigation has so far uncovered massive revenue losses amounting to over $300 billion in unaccounted crude oil proceeds over the years. This represents one of the most troubling cases of economic sabotage our nation has ever faced. We have made far-reaching recommendations to end this long-standing menace. These include: โ€ขThe strict enforcement of international crude oil measurement standards at all production and export points. โ€ขMandating the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to deploy modern, tamper-proof measuring technology or returning this function to the Department of Weights and Measures under the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment. โ€ขThe deployment of advanced surveillance systems, including drones, to assist security agencies in combating oil theft. โ€ขThe creation of a Special Court for Crude Oil Theft to ensure swift prosecution of offenders and their collaborators. โ€ขFull implementation of the Host Communities Development Trust Fund under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) to empower local communities and reduce sabotage. โ€ขCeding abandoned oil wells to the NUPRC for allocation to modular refineries to support local production and job creation. The committee also seeks an expanded mandate to track, trace, and recover stolen crude oil proceeds, both locally and internationally. Forensic reviews show over $22 billion, $81 billion, and $200 billion remain unaccounted for across different audit periods. This is a national call to action. Nigeria cannot afford to continue losing trillions to corruption, inefficiency, and criminal networks. I remain committed, alongside my colleagues, to ensuring accountability, recovery, and reform within the oil and gas sector.

Japan's Defense and Technology Japan today has a modern and powerful navy. The Japanese fleet currently has about one-quarter the number of VLS cells compared to the Chinese navy, and this number will increase with the commissioning of additional ASEV destroyers and Mogami-class frigates. I believe that within 6โ€“8 years, the Japanese navy could become the fourth-largest in the world in terms of VLS cell count. However, there are areas where Japan, despite its cutting-edge technology, still needs to improve, specifically two: anti-ship missiles and drones, but also become more independent about naval air defense systems. The Japanese fleet still largely relies on the Type 90 SSM on many ships, which has a range of only 150 km, and on the Type 17 SSM, which is being introduced slowly and has a range of 300โ€“400 km. In the coming years, there is talk of a version with up to 900 km range and the introduction of a ship-launched Type 12. Air defense systems remain heavily dependent on the United States, primarily using the SM-2/SM-6 and SM-3 on the most modern ships. Japan is an island nation and has historically always developed its own naval designs and equipment. It needs partners, but it must also maintain its own indigenous models. Another point is that a country as modern and pioneering in so many fields cannot afford to lack its own drone industry. Today, Japan operates American HALE drones such as the RQ-4 Global Hawk (manufactured by Northrop Grumman) and the MQ-9B SeaGuardian as its primary MALE platform for maritime surveillance. It is also testing Turkish and Israeli drones. This means that in any conflict, Japan could run out of reconnaissance drones in a very short time. The situation is quite different in South Korea, where there is a robust domestic drone industry led by companies such as Korea Aerospace Industries, Korean Air Aerospace Division, Hanwha Aerospace, and the Agency for Defense Development. Although South Korea still relies on foreign suppliers for HALE drones, it already has indigenous MALE models like the KUS-FS, along with other systems under development. In the next 5โ€“10 years, long-range anti-ship missiles (1,000โ€“4,000 km) will become a reality on Japanese ships and submarines. However, I still do not see independent projects in the fields of air defense systems or drones. South Korea obviously has different priorities from Japan, as it faces a much more precarious security situation. But if Japan also wants to establish itself as an exporter, and it is already doing so, it needs to demonstrate greater independence and a truly cutting-edge portfolio. On the current trajectory, if the country resolves the drone issue (as I believe it will), Japan should reach a world-leading level within 10 years or less.

President Donald Trump is causing a constitutional crisis by eliminating the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and giving Elon Musk access to confidential Treasury records, say the media and Democrats. The American people didnโ€™t elect Musk, said Democrats in a rally on Friday, where some House members were disallowed from entering the Department of Education. A judge on Friday restricted Muskโ€™s teamโ€™s access to Treasury records. Trump yesterday, in an interview with Bret Baier of Fox, said that Musk would soon begin seeking efficiencies in the Departments of Defense and Education. As such, whatโ€™s happening is a โ€œconstitutional crisis,โ€ said Rep. Jamie Raskin on Meet the Press, where he threatened a class action lawsuit on behalf of the American people. But there is no constitutional crisis. The American people elected Trump as president, and he, not Congress, exercises authority over all executive branch agencies, including USAID, the Department of Education, the Department of Defense, and the Treasury Department. Trump has clear Constitutional authority to audit the finances overseen by the Treasury and every other agency, and that includes assigning that audit to whoever he chooses. The Constitution grants Congress oversight duties but those powers do not include members being allowed to enter any executive branch building whenever they please. None of that means that the administration should ignore Congress, court orders, or the potential public health problems that could be created by the closure of USAID and freezing of its funds. Said the surgeon, New Yorker author, and former USAID official, Atul Gawande, on X, โ€œ20M people with HIV, including 500,000 children, have been cut off from access to medicines keeping them alive. Global HIV transmission, resistance, and deaths will now increase, endangering all.โ€ Gawande added that, as a result of the loss of USAID, the US has lost critical bird flu surveillance, sacrificed humanitarian aid in Gaza, and halted the resettlement of former Islamic State combatants. USAID may have been doing and funding projects that were worthwhile. And it may be that Congress will need to pass legislation to continue those projects through the State Department. But itโ€™s emotional blackmail to suggest the USAID closure and freeze on aid will kill African children. The Trump administration already created a waiver for HIV treatment and resumed aid for tuberculosis, malaria, and newborn health. And USAIDโ€™s health programs should be subject to scrutiny, given the agencyโ€™s history of using such programs as cover for other activities, including regime change and biodefense research. For example, under President Barack Obamaโ€™s administration, USAID was caught using an HIV program to foment rebellion in Cuba. USAID used EcoHealth Alliance as a passthrough organization to funnel $1.1 million to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which was conducting risky gain-of-function experiments that may have caused the Covid pandemic. As such, anyone who truly believes in public health for poor people in poor nations must agree that USAID needs to be reined in and cleaned up. That starts first with precisely the kind of audit the Democrats are trying to stop. After that, USAID โ€” and other government agencies eventually โ€” must justify what they are spending money on. The publicโ€™s interest is ensuring that every dollar of taxpayer money is accounted for and justified. A major reason that the American people elected Trump was precisely because they believed he would reform the government, and that meant rooting out abuse, fraud, and waste. There is a large body of evidence of all three in USAID, the DOD, and the Department of Education. And, as for complying with the law on the closure of USAID, support for just such a law is growing in Congress. The media and others in Washington, D.C., have known for decades that USAID was a hub of fraud and abuse. The Washington Post cited two individuals with the Center for Global Development, a center-left think tank funded by Bill Gates that has been defending USAID, who told the Washington Post that a claim by Musk that just 10% of USAID money reached people on the ground was โ€œwildly incorrect and misleading.โ€ But their clarification โ€” that just โ€œ10 percent of USAID payments are made directly to organizations in the developing worldโ€ and the โ€œremaining 90 percentโ€ is delivered by organizations in the US and developed world โ€” underscored that USAID fundamentally isnโ€™t working. Think about it. If USAID were so effective in achieving its ostensible goal of โ€œdevelopment,โ€ why are the countries it works in still so poor and underdeveloped? In truth, Democrats and Republicans alike have recognized for decades that USAID needed reform. In 2015, even the Center for Global Development urged a โ€œtop-to-bottom review of USAIDโ€™s sector- and country-based activities based upon program effectiveness, allocation of USAID resources, alignment with partner priorities, and national security implicationsโ€ followed by โ€œcomprehensive reform.โ€ As recently as 2021, the media acknowledged the obvious. That year, the New York Times published an article headlined, โ€œU.S. Aid to Central America Hasnโ€™t Slowed Migration. Can Kamala Harris?โ€ In it the Times acknowledged that โ€œexperts say the reasons that years of aid have not curbed migrationโ€ is in part because โ€œmuch of the money is handed over to American companies, which swallow a lot of it for salaries, expenses and profits, often before any services are deliveredโ€ โ€” precisely the reason President Trump shut down USAID. Wrote the Times, โ€œFrom 2016 to 2020, 80 percent of the American-financed development projects in Central America were entrusted to American contractors, according to data provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development.โ€ Itโ€™s the same story for education. Just 10 days ago, the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) released the latest test scores showing yet another decline in reading and continued flat-lining in math for eighth graders. The media described the test results as a โ€œnew lowโ€ and โ€œeven worseโ€ than in the past and โ€œdisheartening.โ€ Democrats and the media thus know perfectly well that the Department of Educationโ€™s work is either insufficient to counteract the decline or is actively contributing to it, and thus reform of the Department of Education is highly reasonable. And yet Democrats demanded they be allowed to enter the Department of Education headquarters in Washington as though to defend it. From what? Improvement? The position of the Democrats is even more ridiculous when one considers the example of the Defense Department. Will Democrats now, after decades of attacking military spending as wasteful, defend it? If they do, they will alienate their own partisans. But if they donโ€™t, then they will find it difficult to answer the question of why reform is necessary in the military but not in the Department of Education or USAID? Making the situation even more surreal is that it was Democrats, not Republicans, who made the biggest push for government efficiency and reform in the last thirty years. In 1993, shortly after taking office, President Bill Clinton empowered Vice President Al Gore to oversee a โ€œReinventing Governmentโ€ initiative. The aim was to streamline bureaucracy, cut costs, and improve government efficiency. It emphasized customer service, performance-based management, and innovation โ€” all things that Musk is famous for implementing at his companies. Itโ€™s not obvious why Democrats are opposing Trumpโ€™s actions. Doing so reinforces that they are the party of waste, fraud, and abuse. Polling shows that public support for Trump is at an all-time high of 53%, according to a new CBS poll. By contrast, 57% of registered voters have an unfavorable opinion of the Democratic Party, the worst numbers in 17 years. Nor is it obvious why the media has maintained its anti-Trump bias. The Washington Postโ€™s daily traffic declined by nearly 90% from 23 million daily active users in January 2021 to 2.5 to 3 million in the middle of last year. In the week ending November 24, CNN and MSNBC lost 47% and 53% of their primetime viewership. Last month, CNN announced it was laying off 200 employees while MSNBC saw its president step down. Politicoโ€™s cofounder said last week that โ€œThe left right now, liberal media, has probably never been weaker in my lifetime than right now.โ€ The public desperately wants reform, and 60% of the public has long supported cutting foreign aid, which has long been popular with the public. Why canโ€™t Democrats and the media just embrace Trumpโ€™s government efficiency effort? Why are they engaging in such seemingly self-destructive behavior? A week ago, something big happened in the blockchain world, and it went under the radar of all #CryptoNews media outlets. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™Š For the โœจfirst time everโœจ the Swiss Government together with Stadt Zug and Swiss Blockchain Federation awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards to the Ethereum co-founders as part of the #ETH10X event at CV Summit 2024 hosted by CV Labs in #CryptoValley Zug, Switzerland. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ™Œ The Swiss Finance Minister Karin Keller-Sutter kicked off the awards ceremony by emphasizing Switzerland's role in promoting innovation: "As a finance minister, I am not only the guardian of the state treasury, but also responsible for a stable, healthy, and innovative financial market. In blockchain technology, we see a new technology that has enormous potential to change the way financial services are provided." In the audience, we had many blockchain industry leaders, bank representatives, and ~70 top Swiss politicians attending, including the mayor of Stadt Zug Andrรฉ Wicki, the Zug Financial Director and President of Swiss Blockchain Federation Heinz Tรคnnler and 2 former presidents of Switzerland. Beyond the epic awards received, the even bigger thing is the fact that, in a world where blockchain innovation is still largely a topic of debate for many governments, here we have a government officially acknowledging and awarding Ethereum for the #blockchain innovation it has brought to its country. This is unprecedented. I hope Switzerland is just the first out of many other governments embracing permissionless public blockchains while offering better business environments for crypto entrepreneurs. Before going on stage, someone asked me why I was the only Ethereum co-founder who had stayed in Switzerland. My answer was that I'm not sure why anyone would want to leave, especially if what you're working on is in the blockchain space. It has been a long ride since I coined the term "Crypto Valley" on 27 Jan 2014 to convey the vision of a blockchain ecosystem to the local Economic Development team of Zug to this moment. Along the way, the former president of Switzerland present at the ceremony, Ueli Maurer took the Crypto Valley meme to the next level when he evolved it into "Crypto Nation". And now, with thousands of companies and people working on crypto projects in Crypto Valley and Switzerland, we see that it's not just empty talk or hype marketing. This is a government with decentralization in its DNA, that is walking the talk. A big thank you, #Switzerland for offering the perfect home for the Ethereum Foundation and the invaluable peace of mind that allows all project contributors to focus on #BUIDLING! โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญโ™ฅ๏ธ

It is a pleasure to be with you this evening to celebrate the memory and contribution of our first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. He was the prime architect of the modern Indian nation-state. His was a life anchored firmly in parliamentary democracy. He had a steadfast belief in planned economic growth and a profound commitment to the development of scientific temper alongside the development of scientific and technological capabilities. To him, secularism โ€” in which he firmly believed โ€” meant the celebration of Indiaโ€™s many diversities while strengthening its fundamental unity. His legacy continues to shape our everyday lives. Decades have gone by since his time, but he continues to serve as a beacon of light to millions of our countrymen and women. It is inevitable that such a monumental figure will have his life and work analysed and critiqued โ€” and that is indeed as it should be. Although the temptation to divorce him from his times and the challenges that he had to face and to look at him, devoid of the historical context in which he functioned has become quite widespread. Yet, while we welcome ongoing analysis of his contributions, what is not acceptable is the systematic attempt being made to denigrate, distort, demean and defame him. The sole objective of this is to not only diminish him as a personality but also his universally recognised role in India's independence struggle and his early decades as a leader of an independent nation challenged by unprecedented problems, but it is also to demolish his multifaceted legacy in a crude and self-serving attempt to rewrite history. Analysis is one thing, but deliberate mischief with what he said, what he wrote and what he did is another thing and totally unacceptable. And who are the forces that have launched this project? We all know that they have worked for years and yearsโ€”for decadesโ€”and finally, here they are. They belong to an ideology that had no role whatsoever in our freedom movement, that had no role whatsoever in the making of our Constitution. In fact, they even burnt it and were totally against it. It is an ideology that long ago fanned an atmosphere of hate that ultimately led to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi ji. His killers today continue to be glorified by its adherents. It is an ideology that has consistently rejected the ideals of our founding fathers. It is an ideology with a bigoted and viciously communal outlook. Its approach to nationhood is based on stoking prejudices of all kinds. Let there be no doubt whatsoever that the project to vilify Jawaharlal Nehru ji is the main objective of the ruling establishment today. Their goal is not just to erase him; it is actually to destroy the social, political, and economic foundations on which our nation has been founded and built. The road ahead is not easy. But there is simply no option but for each one of us, individually and collectively, to stand up and confront this project. We not only owe it to the memory of Jawaharlal Nehru ji and his comradesโ€”we owe it to ourselves, and even more to the coming generations. The unapologetic and fierce defence of the Nehruvian legacy is not an act of nostalgia. It is a commitment to restoring India's constitutional promise, to safeguarding reason in the face of propaganda, and to ensuring that our republic remains modern and forward-looking. If we succeed, it will not only honour Jawaharlal Nehru ji's memory; it will ensure that the India he envisioned remains a reality. At a time when tolerance in public life is shrinking, when dissent is painted as disloyalty, and history is reduced to partisan combat, Nehru ji's example becomes even more vital. He taught us that disagreement is not a threat but a democratic necessityโ€”that unity does not demand uniformity; that a confident nation need not fear the truth about its past. Friends, there is some reason for hope. Last month, the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund also launched an archive which can be accessed at The archive is an easily searchable and freely downloadable digital archiveโ€”also, by the way, accessible on your smartphone. At present, it covers the hundred published volumes of his selected works, covering the period from 1903 till the day before he died. The archive will continue to expand. So, there it will be for you all to access any time you want to know something about what he said, what he wrote, or what he did. Sandeep Dixit's initiative, which has brought all of us here this evening, is another sincere attempt to take on this challenge of rescuing Nehru ji from the web of deception. And we need many, many more such initiatives across the length and breadth of our country. I will end by congratulating Sandeep and his team and wishing him and his colleagues the very best in their endeavours. Jai Hind! : CPP Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji at the launch of The Nehru Centre India

First of all, we here at AMGI want to thank you all for being on this journey with us. We have been extremely busy. Over the last few weeks we have delivered a huge early access patch to My Pet Hooligan, delivered a new on-chain governance solution with WinVote, brought back NFTs in game, started testing the Street Kred system, made some new hires, delivered a new site for AMGI Studios and smashed the largest gaming event in the USA, PAX West. What does all of this mean and importantly what is next!.... PAX West You have seen the videos, you know the vibes were on point, but let's dive deeper into this and what the key takeaways are. PAX West was completely different to the WAGMI Crypto events that we are mostly used to in this space, although these are always fun and important, when creating gaming products, it is also important to get directly in front of people who have a passion for gaming. That's what PAX West was, hosting over 100,000 gamers who just want to play games and have fun. PAX West was a great success for us on many fronts. It confirmed that we have something special in our hands. Gamers loved both the brand and the game and were eager to get involved. It opened up new exciting opportunities with gaming and hardware companies. It was a blast seeing event goers from Day 2 onwards wearing the My Pet Hooligan t-shirts around the city. It was great to see parents playing the game together with their kids. The choices to not include blood and gore made a huge difference and have opened some new unexpected doors for us. If we truly believe in the progression and adoption of this industry we need to move beyond degen products and into real life consumer products that people can truly enjoy. That's what we are here to do, no matter how difficult it is, and no matter what the current โ€˜metaโ€™ is. We have been here for many years grinding day in and day out and are still here today delivering like we are the new kids on the block trying to prove ourselves. The Game PAX West marks the end of a phase of the project, whilst we now posture more into continued efficiency, growth and retention. The game is not feature complete by any means yet but the foundations are strong. There are a number of features still being developed, including a progression system, consumables system, further build out of questing, token utility and more. As these are continuing to be developed we also continue on our journey to make the game more accessible. This will start with Steam and then Consoles. A Microsoft rep at PAX told us โ€œwe are going to make itโ€, who are we to disagree!... Lots of new ideas, lots of new feedback to work from and a renewed drive and hunger which are only going to help make this an even more compelling and fun game. The Web3 Marketplace In the coming days, Version 1 of the My Pet Hooligan Web3 Marketplace will be going live. Version 1 for now will allow for the trading of My Pet Hooligan NFTs, OG Hooligans and Zuckbots for $KARRAT. It will also serve as the marketplace for all of our upcoming in-game blockchain assets. This will eventually become part of your online My Pet Hooligan central hub and will include features such as rentals and subscriptions. It's been a long time coming but it shall be here very soon. Everything's coming together, one step at a time. It is important to note that there are many pieces of a complex puzzle that must come together in order for us to succeed. Between payment solutions, L1 & L2 blockchains, wallets, distribution platforms and the laws of the land. We are in uncharted waters and continue to do things in the most flexible ways possible to ensure we have strong resilience with our operations. The MPH website is next on the list for an uplift too as well as an overhaul of the user accounts system UI/UX. Team We continue to strengthen the team bringing in new hires and stepping up individuals from the community. Some of the new resources being brought in include a new Game Producer, Senior Game Engineer, Senior Blockchain Engineer and the former Dean of the Epic Unreal Fellowship Programme. Collectively bringing in experience from Epic, Solana, Blizzard and more. There are also some community role changes and new advisors that will help with social strategy and web3. As well as new marketing efforts through new channels of distribution that we are exploring. More to come on thisโ€ฆ WinVote V1 Governance isn't sexy but building tools for the benefit of the space that others can license is. Governance is a key part of the industry and a need for most of the foundations in the crypto space. WinVote has started its trial with the KARRAT Foundation. Whilst the trial continues it will continue to be built out with an aim to be the premier tool for on-chain governance in the space. Access to WinVote for other communities and organizations wishing to use WinVote will be secure through licenses that utilize $KARRAT. We still have much more at work here in the studio, such as continued R&D, The Others, AI, Feature Development and more. This list is long, but we are grateful to get to do it. Stay tuned and let us cook, this s#it ainโ€™t easy! Karrat Gang, thank you again for being on this journey with us. We love and appreciate you all! Look out for a catchup with the team next week. Hooli-hoo!!

Today, I officially announced my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and formally declared my membership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), a party I founded and whose leadership has appointed me as its National Leader. The journey of the NDC has been long in the making, and I helped midwife the process that led to its creation. In making the decision to go with the NDC, I made it clear that Nigeria must never become a one-party state. It would have been easy for me to join the bandwagon of politicians decamping to the ruling partyโ€”the APC, but that was never an option for me. My decision is informed by a number of reasons: the APCโ€™s abuse and disrespect of the countryโ€™s diversity, its inability to effectively manage national security, and its failure to manage the economy in a manner that protects the welfare of Nigerians, resulting in widespread hunger, poverty, and disillusionment. This is further compounded by the mismanagement of our democratic space and the rejection of electoral reforms, leaving democratic liberties under threat after twelve years in power. My decision to set up the NDC has been a painful one because of the PDPโ€™s contribution to me, the people of Bayelsa and all Nigerians, but the reality is that we must move forward. By my nature and background, I am not a politician of convenience but one guided by conviction, principles, and values. The Nigeria Democratic Congress is a national platform for patriots committed to building a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous Nigeria. Our priorities begin with national security, ensuring the protection of lives and property through strengthened defence and security institutions; education and skills development to build human capacity and drive national progress; affordable and quality healthcare for all Nigerians; a free-market economy guided by responsible regulation and social protection; industrialisation and local production to reduce dependence on imports; modernised agriculture and food security across the value chain; empowerment and inclusion of women and youth in governance and development; true federalism and devolution of powers to strengthen states and local governments; environmental protection and remediation of degraded areas; provision of affordable housing and modern towns; Pan-Africanist foreign policy and economic diplomacy; preservation and promotion of Nigeriaโ€™s culture and heritage; expansion of national infrastructure and transportation networks; reliable and sustainable power and energy supply; reform of the public service to ensure efficiency and accountability; and large-scale employment creation across sectors to provide opportunities for all Nigerians. The NDC will promote an independent judiciary, a free and independent press and ensure the promotion and protection of democratic norms and adherence to the rule of law. It is for these reasons that I have chosen to align fully with the NDC as we work together to build a stronger, fairer, and more inclusive Nigeria. I also explained why I could not align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). I thank the ADC leaders for not succumbing to the pressures of a one-party state, however I am yet to clearly understand their position on some of the fundamental issues and principles that I strongly stand for and believe in. Furthermore, I am not sure if the ADC is a coalition or a collision, but I hope they prove me wrong. ADC leaders are personally known to me; we interact and will continue to do so in furtherance of Nigeriaโ€™s democracy. I therefore call on all our people, and indeed all Nigerians who believe in justice, equity, and a new Nigeria, to join this movement. The NDC is a platform for all who are committed to building a nation founded on true federalism, responsible leadership, and shared prosperity for all our people. I thank all Nigerians for their prayers and support. -HSD

A new DeFi era needs a return to fundamental primitives. Announcing Soul Public Sale! DeFi is entering a new era, led by protocols that bring real innovation, but to live up to its full potential, it needs to re-embrace its founding ethos with broad distribution and fair allocation. Soul is part of this: a 0-to-1 DeFi primitive that reimagines and unites crypto lending, built to unlock a new category of opportunities for users and enabling new DeFi economies led by increased efficiency and new on-chain dynamics. The launch of our Testnet has been a significant initial milestone in our journey, and we are beyond grateful to see such a warm welcome from our early community members! With this being just the first step of a long path ahead, we are excited to announce another significant milestone we are gearing up towards. Introducing the $SO Token Fair Public Round on May 16th! As a fully decentralized protocol, our goal is not to lead a community, but to lead together with the community! We are big believers that a united goal to create a change in the world will bring the strongest foundations for long-term success. We are excited to share with you that Soul successfully raised $4M in a private round from valuable partners such as X Ventures, TPCยบ, and Runtime Vะตrification alongside angels from Coinbase ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ, LayerZero, Flowdesk, and . This was an important step to support the early development of the protocol and bring the initial vision to life. However, we believe that the true value of Soul should be established transparently, through broad community participation, rather than being set by private market dynamics. To support this, we are introducing the Fair Public Round for the $SO Token. A process designed to ensure equal access, fair valuation, and eliminate preferential terms for early participants. // The problem Over the past few years, a familiar pattern has emerged across the crypto sector. Projects often raise substantial capital through private rounds, securing early valuations and preferential terms for a limited group of participants. When a public round is eventually offered, it typically comes at a significantly higher valuation, offering fewer opportunities and limited upside for retail investors. This approach creates a fundamental imbalance, restricting participation and disconnecting value creation from important groups who also contribute to a project's success: users, supporters, and builders. At Soul, we believe there is a better model, one that aligns incentives from the beginning and builds stronger foundations for long-term growth. By giving the community the opportunity to participate early and on fair terms, we enable those who contribute to Soulโ€™s success to directly benefit from the value they help create. // A new ICO era emerges An era in which initial valuations are not decided around a table of early private participants, but by the open and public participation itself. In 2017โ€“2018, we witnessed one of the most dynamic periods in crypto history: the ICO era. A time when anyone, anywhere in the world, could participate meaningfully in the early growth of projects they believed in. Access was open, participation was broad, and innovation was funded directly by the community. Over time, however, that spirit of openness faded. The rise of private rounds and exclusive allocations shifted the landscape toward more traditional fundraising models, limiting access and weakening the connection between projects and their communities. We believe it's time to restore that original spirit, to rebuild a model where openness, fairness, and community participation are at the core of crypto startup innovation. // Pushing for an ICO 2.0 Era At Soul, we are committed to building a foundation that prioritizes fair participation and long-term alignment. 25% of the total token supply will be allocated to the community through this Public Round, establishing the basis for strong, decentralized governance as the protocol launches. Soulโ€™s valuation will be determined upon the conclusion of the Public Sale, based solely on the capital raised during the round. We are equally committed to avoiding the common pitfalls of low circulating supply and artificially high FDV. All tokens offered in the public round will be fully unlocked at TGE, allowing for a transparent, market-driven valuation from the outset. // $SO Utility The $SO token is an essential component of the Soul Protocol, designed to drive governance, gauge voting, yield boosting, and value sharing. Rather than existing as a speculative asset, $SO is structured to reward participation, align incentives across stakeholders, and strengthen long-term protocol sustainability. Its utility is directly tied to protocol adoption and engagement, ensuring that value creation flows to those who contribute meaningfully to the protocol. Soul rejects short-term incentive models such as liquidity mining, which often generate unsustainable growth. Instead, prioritizes product-driven revenue and long-term value accrual, distributing rewards to $SO stakers and active participants in proportion to their contributions. Governance & Emissions Control $SO is the governance token of the Soul Protocol, enabling holders to participate in critical decision-making processes. Through governance proposals and emission gauge voting, $SO holders directly influence the allocation of incentives across Soulโ€™s integrated Money Markets, ensuring that ecosystem growth is aligned with stakeholder interests. Boosted Yields Through Staking Staking $SO enhances users' lending positions by granting access to additional yield opportunities on top of base APYs. This mechanism directly links token utility to core protocol activity, ensuring that demand for $SO is driven by real usage rather than speculative behavior. Revenue Sharing & Buyback Mechanism The protocolโ€™s fee switch will direct a portion of collected revenue to purchase $SO tokens from the open market, which will then be redistributed to stakers through emissions and reward mechanisms. This model will directly link protocol revenue to tokenholder rewards, ensuring that $SO ownership is economically tied to the protocolโ€™s activity and long-term growth. LASG SET TO PARTNER SWEDISH COYS ON WASTE TO ENERGY ..As Env. Comm. says the State Government will continue to pay special attention to waste conversion The quest to make good use of the high solid waste generated in Lagos State got another boost on Tuesday as the state expressed readiness to partner with some Sweden organizations on how to turn both solid waste and liquid waste to energy across the metropolis. Speaking during the meeting at Alausa, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab said the state will continue to pay special attention to waste management adding that waste is not a waste but remain one of the best resource every where. He said Waste to energy is a project that the State Government is willing to embark on in order to move the narrative forward in a progressive and productive way. "Our resolve from the beginning of this tenure is that whatever we have to engage in to manage and deploy our solid and liquid waste as a resource is a priority for this government as it will save Lagos but other neighbouring state" he said. The Commissioner stated that the Ministry which is a public facing ministry has resolved to embrace any project that will cut the carbon foot print in the state. He said the state being a coastal state is faces alot of challenges, one of which is the Atlantic Ocean rising at the peak of the rainy season adding that the state is also at the end of numerous tributaries where water is discharged into the lagoon all of which could lead to flooding in the state. He said lagos generates between 13,000 to 14,000 tonnes of waste per day and the state is open to suggestions about possible productive ways to turn it into a Resources and move the state forward. Wahab said lagos as a State is working to decongest the roads and make Lagos a 21st century mega city saying that the cause and effect on the environment is that these moves help to reduce the emissions on the long run. According to him, As a result of current energy crisis in Nigeria, this has caused the spike in the cost of PMS and its multiple effects on the economy. So if the Lagos State Government can go ahead with this project. it will solve half of the problem in the PMS high price in Lagos. "This project is something we have to pursue deliberately and diligently. This is because while the government on its own part is trying to push out CNG at lower cost, conversion of waste to energy will also be an option especially for public transport in Lagos" Wahab said Lagos account for over 50% of the vehicular traffic in the country with the smallest land mass as well as 22million people which is 10% of the countryโ€™s population being inhabited in with less than 3,600 square kilometers of land, stressing that the project is not an option but a necessity. He recalled that earlier in the year, the state government had been in consultation with two Dutch companies one which will turn waste to energy and the other which will deal with electronic waste, adding that the state can indeed change the notion that waste is not a waste but a resource. The head of the delegation, representative of the Consul of Sweeden and the Business Promotion Officer, Sweden Embassy Abuja, Ms. Sara Ibru noted that the Lagos Government is known to be very pro - active in all its endeavours and that the Swedish Organizations are willing to collaborate with Lagos State to turn solid and liquid wastes into valuable resources. The Honourable Commissioner was joined by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Environmental Services, Gaji Omobolaji Tajudeen and his Counterpart in Drainage Services, Engr Mahamood Adegbite to receive the visitors The organizations representatives include Swedish Trade and Investment Council ( Business Sweden); Honourary Consul of Sweden in Nigeria; Swedish Development Agency (SDA); NIR International Council of Swedish Industry and Swedfund. Good morning, Iโ€™m Jim Ferguson reporting from Dubrovnik, Croatia. Delegates are now arriving from across Europe and beyond โ€” friends from Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, and even as far as South Korea. The Make Europe Great Again conference officially begins today, and this is where the real work starts. Over the next few days Iโ€™ll be conducting interviews, meeting with Members of the European Parliament, and discussing how we confront the growing threat of globalisation โ€” from digital ID systems to central bank digital currencies. These are not just policy tools; they are mechanisms of control. And we, the freedom community, are pushing back hard. Tonight, Iโ€™ll be speaking about the late Charlie Kirk โ€” his courage, his faith, and the attack on free speech that silenced him. Itโ€™s a sobering reminder of the risks faced by all who speak out against censorship and tyranny. But we must continue to do so, because if we comply, it will be the last free decision we ever make. Globalisation is advancing through technology and AI, which are being used to construct a surveillance state. The UNโ€™s Agenda 2030 is no longer a distant plan โ€” itโ€™s unfolding in real time. The only way to resist is through unity, courage, and truth. Thatโ€™s why gatherings like this matter. Patriots from around the world โ€” Europe, the UK, the United States, and beyond โ€” are standing together to defend sovereignty, national identity, and freedom. As many of you know, Iโ€™ve joined Advanced UK and now serve as part of the College, working with Ben Habib and others to set strong policies on immigration, education, and healthcare. Itโ€™s an honour to also serve as International Ambassador, representing our growing network of freedom-minded allies. Croatia is a fitting place for this meeting. Not long ago, this region experienced real conflict and hardship โ€” a stark reminder of whatโ€™s at stake when nations lose their sovereignty. Over the coming days, Iโ€™ll be posting interviews, updates, and coverage from inside the conference as the worldโ€™s patriots unite against censorship and control. Thank you all for your continued support, for your comments, and for sharing this mission. Stay safe, stay strong, and stay free. This is Jim Ferguson, reporting from Dubrovnik โ€” weโ€™ll speak soon. Advance UK Ben Habib
