To the Fulshear Charger Family, As I sit down to reflect on this season, my heart swells with pride and gratitude. This year marked a significant milestone for our program – it was the first time our coaching staff had the privilege of guiding a full class from start to finish. Watching these young men grow, both on and off the field, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Our last game was a tough loss, but it was also a testament to the spirit and determination of this team. Facing a nationally ranked opponent, our Chargers fought valiantly until the very last second. Their performance was the epitome of what it means to be a Fulshear Charger – resilient, dedicated, and unwavering in the face of adversity. There were so many standout moments this season. Beating Pearland in the first week of the year, driving 98 yards to seal the game, and our defense getting a goal line stop as time expired. Winning district for three years straight. Going three rounds deep to the regional semifinals in our first year in 6A football. These moments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players and coaches. To our seniors, thank you for your leadership and for setting a standard of excellence. You have laid a strong foundation for future Chargers to build upon. To the underclassmen, your journey is just beginning, and I am excited to see how you will continue to uphold and elevate the legacy of this program. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the parents, the coaches, the kids, and the community for rallying behind what Fulshear football is. A story for kids and parents about Jeff Malott who scored a pretty nice goal here against the Sharks: We were recruiting Jeff when I was still coaching at Cornell. Benny our other assistant liked him as a player, but he hadn't yet jumped off the page. He had average production in the AJHL as a 19 year old and was going back for his 20 year old age-out year in junior hockey. At the beginning of the season, Jeff with his playing schedule couldn't get out for a visit but his parents were driving distance so they drove out to see campus and meet us as a coaching staff. On that visit, we absolutely fell in love with his parents - they were such great people. I cannot understate enough how much of a positive effect their visit had on our staff. Jeff had a pretty good start to his 20 year old junior year. Our research on his character was off the charts and meeting his parents we were blown away as well. And even though he hadn't yet proven himself in junior hockey (only 6 goals and 20 points in 53 games the prior year in the AJHL), we offered him a spot in our program. At worst, he would be a potential captain. Turns out his 20 year old year he scored 60 points, he lead his team to an AJHL championship (he also won a junior B championship a few years earlier), and became the captain at Cornell for the team that was number one in the country before Covid canceled the season. He signed a pro contract out of Cornell but only played games in his first season in the AHL and the ECHL. But with his character he just kept working, was a great leader, and willed his way to the NHL where he's scoring goals like this for the LA Kings. Benny's eye for talent is incredible seeing something in him even though he hadn't yet popped in junior hockey and he wasn't heavily recruited. And his character along with his family's character was just off the charts. I share this story because like we say all the time - everyone has a different path to high level hockey. And the players that are resilient, outwork everyone, and stay the course even if they don't get the result in the time they want it are the ones who put themselves in the best position to achieve their dream. And for the parents - we recruit and evaluate you too, not just your kids. Any college coach will tell you that they've crossed kids names off their list based on the behavior of a parent. But it goes the other way too. We fell in love with Jeff's parents and that absolutely played a role in our decision to offer him a spot in our program. Seeing this goal, there are a lot of people who couldn't be happier for Jeff and his family.

A story for kids and parents about Jeff Malott who scored a pretty nice goal here against the Sharks: We were recruiting Jeff when I was still coaching at Cornell. Benny our other assistant liked him as a player, but he hadn't yet jumped off the page. He had average production in the AJHL as a 19 year old and was going back for his 20 year old age-out year in junior hockey. At the beginning of the season, Jeff with his playing schedule couldn't get out for a visit but his parents were driving distance so they drove out to see campus and meet us as a coaching staff. On that visit, we absolutely fell in love with his parents - they were such great people. I cannot understate enough how much of a positive effect their visit had on our staff. Jeff had a pretty good start to his 20 year old junior year. Our research on his character was off the charts and meeting his parents we were blown away as well. And even though he hadn't yet proven himself in junior hockey (only 6 goals and 20 points in 53 games the prior year in the AJHL), we offered him a spot in our program. At worst, he would be a potential captain. Turns out his 20 year old year he scored 60 points, he lead his team to an AJHL championship (he also won a junior B championship a few years earlier), and became the captain at Cornell for the team that was number one in the country before Covid canceled the season. He signed a pro contract out of Cornell but only played games in his first season in the AHL and the ECHL. But with his character he just kept working, was a great leader, and willed his way to the NHL where he's scoring goals like this for the LA Kings. Benny's eye for talent is incredible seeing something in him even though he hadn't yet popped in junior hockey and he wasn't heavily recruited. And his character along with his family's character was just off the charts. I share this story because like we say all the time - everyone has a different path to high level hockey. Golf has given me everything — incredible experiences, friendships, and memories that’ll stay with me forever. But lately, life’s been pulling me in a different direction. With two young daughters and a growing love for home life, I’ve felt ready for a new challenge. For now, I’m shifting my focus toward coaching and sharing what I’ve learned along the way. I didn’t want to post something like this straight away, because I wasn’t sure how I’d feel after stepping away from tournament golf. But a few months removed, the overwhelming feeling is pride. If this is the end, then I got to live my dream. I played on the European Tour for many years, won the South African Open with my wife on the bag, played with Tommy Fleetwood at the Zurich Classic, competed in a World Golf Championship, and shared the course with so many great players. The hours spent on the range with Andrew Nicholson, my long-time coach, and my brother, Andy, are memories I’ll always treasure. If I’ll miss anything, it’ll be those moments — the work, the grind, the quiet pursuit of getting better. But there’s no sadness or regret, just pride, gratitude, and excitement for what’s next. Eagle Creek Golf Club have kindly allowed me to explore some in-person coaching at their facility, which I’ve really enjoyed so far. I’ve been continuing to build on the Skillest platform, which has been great — but what I’m most passionate about right now is a new coaching venture I’m building and will be launching soon. I can’t wait to share more. A huge thank you to my wife, Keri, for everything she’s done over the years. Being a golfer’s wife isn’t easy, especially the last few years, but she’s always let me chase my dream and supported me completely. That moment we shared winning the SA Open made it all worthwhile. This is the most important post I’ve made to date, by far . It’s an interview with journalist Whitney Webb explaining - Digital ID, where the idea came from, who are the stakeholders and beneficiaries of it, the immense power and control you will cede to Govt and corporations. I have spliced in NZ video to illustrates the points that Webb makes throughout the video. In it she explains how Digital ID is necessary for digital currency to be used, which in turn will create a river of wealth and control for corporations and global bodies. It explains how the public (including here in NZ) is being gaslit about the bill for restricting social media - this requires us all to be biometrically scanned and it will be linked to the new Whakatuturu or verify me digital ID. It features outtakes from select committee submissions from Mattr NZ a subsidiary of Spark who have designed the digital ID architecture, and has previously developed the Covid App plus worked with spy agencies in the US at the dept of Homeland & security. It also features footage of the Co -Chair of the Digital Trust Framework Anna Marie Cavanagh on a UN sustainable Goals discussion, along with Ardern stating the digital ID is built for interaction with Carbon Markets and with the UN SDG’s in mind. Larry Fink (Blackrock) and Jamie Dimon (JP MorganChase) discuss the future of finance and tokenising assets, including your house and even natural assets. Dimon has publicly said that banks should be able to seize public property in the name of climate change. The UN a will force us all to use carbon markets the take up so far has been woeful. Ever wonder why the UN has pushed for legal personhood for natural sites such as Mt Taranaki? It’s because they need to be loaded on the digital ledger. Ngati Wai activist Aperahama Edwards (best known for taking Davis Seymour’s mic away at Waitangi) has so far gathered $70m USD with the backing of King Charles & Richard Branson to make a blue carbon market from NZ’s EEZ and are developing a electronic ‘rāhui’ in the waters to ‘protect the whales’ and the whales will be given a digital ID. The project steered by an Ex IMF director will then ‘take control of the migratory sea channels’ and sell bonds in the ocean. News items covering this bizarre scheme is included.
