RHP/1B Trace Phillips (Middle Tennessee Baseball) is an interesting draft-eligible sophomore on which to keep close tabs. Last spring, he hit .304/.360/.547 with 8 2B, 13 HR and 47 RBIs, but itโ€™s his ability on the mound that's the root of his buzz. Phillips' back of the baseball card numbers last season are modest, but there is more to it than meets the eye. At 6'3" and 185-lbs, Phillips has an athletic, high-waisted frame. In the box, he has a simple setup with an ear-high handset and the bat horizontal above his back shoulder. Phillips has a slight load in which he has a noticeable barrel tip and a small stride. He moves well in the box and has some scissor action with his back leg. Phillipsโ€™ pure hit tool is fringey, but he has plus raw power and has shown the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Max EV last spring of 109.4, if he's able to lift the ball more it will lead to a more impressive power output. Phillipsโ€™ current prospect status is largely driven by his ability on the mound. His numbers were unimpressive last season, but he took a step forward this fall. Thereโ€™s some low hanging fruit to clean up in his delivery, but he has a short, whippy arm stroke and attacks from a low-three quarters slot with plenty of arm speed. Phillipsโ€™ FB has been up to 96 with ride through the zone (particular life at the top), though his best pitch is a high-70s-to-low-80s CH. He does a nice job of killing spin on it, and It averaged almost 15 MPH off his fastball this fall. Itโ€™s a plus pitch that flashes both fade to the arm side as well late tumble. Phillips completes his arsenal with a mid-80s slider that flashed above-average this fall with sharp, two-plane tilt. Both his changeup and slider profile as legitimate swing-and-miss offerings. 004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, itโ€™s more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you donโ€™t really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesnโ€™t get that jumpy. Iโ€™m using here GSAPโ€™s SplitText to split every char into spans. And then Iโ€™m adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. This work makes a humanoid robot do simple parkour moves by looking with a depth camera and choosing the right move on the fly. The big deal is that it turns lots of small human moves into long, real-time robot behavior, without hand-coding every transition or retraining for each new course. A humanoid robot is usually good at steady walking, but it often fails when it has to do fast moves like jumping up, vaulting, or rolling, and then keep going to the next obstacle. The hard part is that you cannot easily collect training data for every possible obstacle shape, distance, and mistake, so robots end up learning a few moves that only work in a narrow setup. This work starts from short clips of real human parkour moves, like stepping over, vaulting, climbing, and rolling. It uses motion matching, which is basically a smart โ€œpick the next clip that fits best right nowโ€ search, to stitch those short clips into a long, smooth plan that looks like a human doing a whole course. Then it trains a controller with reinforcement learning (RL), which means the robot learns by trial and error to copy that plan while staying balanced and not falling. After training separate expert controllers for different moves, it compresses them into 1 controller that uses only onboard depth sensing and a simple โ€œgo this fast in this directionโ€ command. In real tests on a Unitree G1 humanoid, it can clear multiple obstacles in a row, adapt when obstacles get moved, and climb a wall up to 1.25m.

TAKE A BREATH. TODAY WAS ROUGH. HERE IS WHAT IS STILL COMING. I know. It was a bad day. Barrett and Roberts handed the left a win on mail-in ballots that stings, and it is going to sting for a while. We are not going to pretend otherwise. But before you check out for the night, you need to know what is still coming, because some of the biggest decisions of this entire term have not dropped yet. And some of them could be very good for our side. Here is where things stand. Today the Court decided two major cases. On mail-in ballots, Barrett wrote the majority and sided with the liberals. Ballots postmarked by Election Day can be received days later and still count. Roberts went with her. Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and mostly Kavanaugh dissented. It was a gut punch and we covered it in detail earlier. The other big decision today was actually a win. The Court upheld Trump's authority to fire Rebecca Slaughter from the Federal Trade Commission. Trump called it one of the most important presidential power decisions ever handed down. He is not wrong. That one matters for executive authority in ways that will echo for years. Now here is what is still coming. BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP. This is the big one. Trump signed an executive order on day one of his second term ending automatic citizenship for children born to illegal immigrants and temporary visa holders. Every lower court blocked it as unconstitutional. The Supreme Court is the last stop. Conservative justices showed skepticism toward the administration's position during oral arguments, so do not expect a clean sweep, but this ruling is going to reshape immigration policy no matter how it lands. TRANSGENDER ATHLETES. The Court is set to rule on the Idaho and West Virginia bans on biological males competing in women's sports. The conservative justices appeared ready to uphold those bans during arguments. This could be a significant win that enshrines once and for all that Title IX does not require schools to allow biological males to compete against women. There is also a case on presidential firing power at the Federal Reserve involving Governor Lisa Cook, and a geofence warrant case involving Fourth Amendment privacy rights. The Court has not announced the final day of the term. It could be later this week or it could slip into early July. Here is the bottom line. Today hurt. The mail-in ballot ruling is a real setback and we are going to fight it through Congress. But this term is not over. The decisions still coming have the potential to deliver wins on the issues that matter most to this movement, the border, women's sports, and the limits of government power. Stay in the fight. Buying $ETH heavy at $1070-$1370 Dont think it goes much lower. Everyone expects $ETH to bleed harder than $BTC from here, but its already insanely oversold. So im taking the other side. Quick on why: ETH/BTC ratio is insanely low. People treat this like $BTC vs some random coin. Its not. $BTC and $ETH are the same kind of asset - supply already out, no insider unlocks, 10+ years of nobody printing or rugging it. The only two real blue chips. The only question is which looks safer from here, and right now its $BTC holding most of the open problems. The cleanest way to see it: the treasuries. Strategy sits on 845k $BTC, paid for with stock and preferred that owes cash dividends. $BTC pays them nothing back, so they have to sell to cover it. Bitmine sits on 5.5M $ETH and stakes most of it, earning around 270M a year. Same drawdown, opposite situation. One bleeds to hold, the other gets paid to hold. And thats the asset itself, not just the treasury. A third of all $ETH is staked and earning. $BTC just sits while its new supply gets sold by miners to cover power bills. Last cycle the loud call was $10k $ETH. Never came. This cycle the loud call is "$ETH is dead", screamed right at the price where it stopped falling. Im not betting against $BTC, i hold both. I just think the one everyone gave up on is the one that pays u to wait. Thats why im buying here. DCA 1370 to 1070 3/4 at 1070. Out under 800.

No. Thatโ€™s delusional. 1/ Generative AI is already being used professionally at the level of big studios like Disney ($1B to OpenAI), and thereโ€™s zero doubt that studios like Industrial Light & Magic, Netflix, Hollywood VFX experts, etc. are already experimenting with it too. Or do you think theyโ€™re idiots? Theyโ€™re not idiots at all. They have the experience and, more importantly, the DISTRIBUTION POWER. The point is: someone with taste, judgment, and storytelling experience, basically from their living room, will have access to (almost, or not even almost) the same capability as the big guys, because the pure "making stuff" skills have been commoditized, and the new way to create is just NATURAL LANGUAGE. What hasnโ€™t been commoditized is good taste, the ability to create great stories that move people, and the ability to get them in front of people. So in the end, what wins is story quality and distribution. Having good taste, making a name for yourself, and owning strong IP (Marvel, etc.) will still matter. Thatโ€™ll be true right up until AI is genuinely opinionated and can create by itself: if it comes to that, with zero human direction, stuff as good as (or better than) the very best human experts today, and on top of that, interactive in real time... Because yeah: thereโ€™s nothing in this universe that actually prevents that from happening. BUT WEโ€™RE NOT THERE. For now, generative AI is a tool that needs direction and taste to make anything decent. And I hope it stays that way for a long time, because otherwise thatโ€™s going to be a brutal hit to humanityโ€™s ego. 2/ On the "bubble": you have to distinguish between a stock valuation bubble (possible, I actually believe it) vs a bubble like some people imagine where it "pops" and we never hear about AI again. You can have the best models, the best engineers, the best everything... but if you donโ€™t have enough compute, you will eventually hit a wall. Elon told us, the world can only supply a tiny fraction of the chips his companies will need. So this is the solution.
