With dedicated dialysis units, supply of dialysis machines to district hospitals, and strengthened government healthcare infrastructure, quality care is reaching those who need it most. Education and skill development remain at the core of its mission, from establishing 10 schools in Neyveli to supporting higher education and technical training through Annamalai University and the Power Station Training Institute. NLCIL also extends care to the most vulnerable, supporting Sneha Opportunity School for children with special needs and Ananda Illam, an old-age home that ensures dignity and care for senior citizens. Its efforts in rejuvenating over 50 community water bodies have benefited more than 7 lakh people, strengthening both livelihoods and sustainability. This corridor strengthens coal transport infrastructure while facilitating the safe and uninterrupted movement of elephants. This initiative ensures: * Secure wildlife crossings along railway infrastructure * Protection of natural elephant movement corridors * Reduced risk of human–wildlife conflict * Infrastructure development aligned with ecological responsibility Guided by the vision of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, the Ministry remains committed to pursuing development models that harmonise economic progress with biodiversity conservation—demonstrating that growth and environmental stewardship can advance together. This initiative has helped youth from coal mining regions enhance their employability, secure sustainable livelihoods, and build a brighter future. Aligned with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s Skill India vision, such efforts are empowering young Indians with industry-relevant skills and strengthening the foundation of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
