IMPORTANT UPDATE - Vaccine Travel Mandates Lawsuit Our hearing date has been set for Wednesday October 11th 2023 at 9.30am - Federal Court of Appeal, Ottawa, Ontario. This case is incredibly important. As their own words in this video clearly indicate, they will not hesitate to bring these mandates back at any time, and it appears that they may do just that as early as this Fall. This is why the Vaccine Travel Mandates were only 'suspended', they were NOT revoked. The Trudeau government needed to ensure that they could bring them back at any time in order to coerce/force Canadians into getting more of these experimental and dangerous C-19 injections. If successful, the outcome of our Vaccine Travel Mandates Lawsuit will benefit the lives of ALL Canadians and will prevent these tyrannical mandates from being invoked ever again. We strongly encourage EVERYONE who has been following and supporting this incredibly important legal challenge to please register to attend the hearing in Ottawa or via video conference. Whether you can actually make it or watch it or not, it is imperative that you register so that the Canadian Judicial system, Judges, government officials and media see just how extensive the support and public interest is in this case/lawsuit. This link will take you directly to the registration page to register to attend our Federal Court of Appeal hearing, either in person, or via video conference. It literally takes less than a minute: We still have a ways to go with this incredibly time consuming and costly battle, any donations to our legal fund to help us keep this important fight going are always very much appreciated: More details on our lawsuit, including the bombshell revelations that our legal team uncovered during 3-months of cross examinations here: Thank you, Shaun Rickard & Karl Harrison - Karl Harrison

I've bought over 30 RV & MH parks in the last 5 years. Lately? 2 per month. Want our playbook? Here ya go: How to buy a small, off-market mobile home or RV park that can 2x your money in 1-2 years, in 5 steps: 1. Pick a city in a red state. The two biggest factors: Crime & unemployment rates Crime: CrimeGrade . org Unemployment: SimpleMaps . com Cities with 3k - 30k people are best. This is the sweet spot for enough population & not to much competition. You want parks with almost no web presence & little to no reviews. A DG nearby is great. Walmart is better. But remember, โ€œif no DG, it ainโ€™t for me.โ€ If there's a Whole Foods you ain't getting a good deal, I promise. Growth rate is good too, but #3 to the two above. Don't worry about the path of progress as much as other asset classes might. 2. Find the leads Get on Google Maps and search "mobile home park" in your target area(s). Avoid NY & CA (not landlord friendly). Make a Google sheet of the leads & use Loom to record your screen. Spend 30 mins doing this. OR, use something like Outscraper to do it for you. Be warned though, that if you donโ€™t do this yourself the scraped results may not be as accurate. If youโ€™re targeting a smaller geographical area I would do it by hand. If a whole state, use software. Youโ€™re looking for phone numbers. Use SearchBug . com to see if cell or landline for pennies. Or Phone Validator Go to Upwork and hire a virtual assistant to keep doing this for you, assuming you are targeting a larger area. They will cost around $4/hour. Use that same Loom link in your posting so applicants can see what the job will entail. When working, Loom it! Youโ€™ll never know when youโ€™ll need it. When in doubt, Loom it out! More leads = better deals. 3. Call the leads Call up the owners and be real. Don't talk about any accolades. He doesn't care and it will only hurt you. You're a hard working country boy. You have a wife and kids (I hope you actually do). Are you a democrat? Don't tell the owner. (Sorry, democrats). Here's your general pitch: "I'm not a broker, I'm just looking for some good real estate and don't want to waste your time with a lowball offer. I can pay cash and close fast" Tell him about your wife and kids and what you do on the weekend. Most importantly, LISTEN. He's going to talk your ear off. This is a good sign. 4. Ask the right questions Ask him: How many pad sites? How many of those have a unit on them? How many of the units are RVs? (It's common for there to be a mix of MH/RV) Any single family homes on the property? Rent? Are the units park owned or tenant owned? (this is key) If a mix, what's the mix? Park-owned homes you have to maintain. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Tenant-owned homes are key (lot rent). This means you only rent out the land and underground infrastructure. Depending on the state, sometimes you can sell back or give away the park-owned units to the tenants to absolve yourself of maintenance. Check the laws! You'll command half the rent but enjoy 90% less hassles. $250 - $350 is common lot rent in the midwest and SE. What's the occupancy and rental amount of each type of unit? Any outbuildings on the property? Septic or city sewer? If septic, conventional or aerobic? Sewer is best. Septic isnโ€™t a deal breaker but you REALLY want to have it inspected. If thereโ€™s a lagoon or wastewater treatment plant I want you to throw that phone as far as you can, block their number and never speak of it again. Within city limits or no? City limits are best but rare. Outstanding municipal or zoning issues? How much is insurance? How much is landscaping? Asphalt, cement or dirt roads? Condition of the roads? Any drainage issues? Is there a manager? What do you pay them? (Best if no manager) Any pending litigation? What are total collections? How do people pay rent? How many are delinquent? What condition are the units in? Do you have a lien on the property? How long have you owned it? 30 or 50 amp? City maintained streets? City water or well? City is best. Keep in mind, thatโ€™s a lot of questions to ask. You have to feel it out, if heโ€™s being standoffish, donโ€™t keep pushing, just call back. This isnโ€™t a used car lot, this is a relationship youโ€™re trying to build. Donโ€™t try and close on this first call. The key question: "If we were to make a deal, what's a ballpark offer you'd expect?" NEVER anchor him with the phrase "bottom dollar." Using the word "ballpark" keeps numbers loose. Whatever number he says, you want to pause and hem and haw over it. Embrace the silence and awkwardness. Back to car sales, they call this the โ€œsilent walkaroundโ€ when valuing a trade-in. Donโ€™t say a thing about the asset, but point out the flaws with your body language. Touch the dents and scratches as you pause. Do the phone version of this. Tell him you'll get back to him tomorrow. Thank him profusely for his time and congratulate him on the park he's built. 5. Underwrite Before you do anything, check with the city to ensure the park is in good standing. Get that in writing. Don't trust the seller. Buyers are liars? So are sellers! Now's time to crunch numbers: What's a cap rate? The net operating income of the park divided by the price you'd like to pay. If you want your money back in 5 years and you're willing to pay up to $1m, you need $200k net profit per year. This is a 20% cap rate (20 cap). It's aggressive but possible on a smaller, rural park. (Yes, it really is, even in 2023) You probably wonโ€™t find a park that big in a small town for a good price, though. Start w/ a smaller park & higher cap rate. More room for error. $300k - $1m purchase price. First do some market research: Remember all your leads? Call competing parks as a potential tenant and ask what their lot rent is. Put this in a spreadsheet to get average lot rent & park-owned home rent. Keep in mind many of these parks will be undercharging as well. It's common to find parks charging $100 that could charge $250. When calculating cap rate BE CONSERVATIVE. Don't count on 100% of people staying if you increase rents, even though most will. Use $190 to be safe. Shoot for a park that will net $100k/year after rent increases that you pay no more than $600k for. Itโ€™s hard but not impossible. Or maybe you find a $30k/year park to get your feet wet. At least you're in the game. The more leads you scrape, the better chance of finding this park. Shoot for as much seller financing as you can get. Finance the rest with friends/family or savings. Once you find this park, get it under contract. Use a standard, simple real estate form that you can find on your state's real estate commission website. Texas' is called TREC. Yes, get it under contract before seeing it. Put down earnest and option money, and then go see it. Don't dress like a city slicker. Be personable and be willing to stay a while and BS. Drive a Tesla? Rent a truck. Drive a Prius? Just quit. Inspect the condition of the units, even if you aren't buying them Crappy units = more tenants willing to abandon them. And they aren't cheap to remove or move. Verify everything he said on the call If all looks good, start on the inspections: Septic or sewer lines SFH home inspection. Check with the city for outstanding issues or litigation Check for liens Wastewater treatment plant? If so, abandon ship! Electrical infrastructure Use professionals for all of these. Ask for: Rent rolls. They will likely be handwritten, thatโ€™s ok. Bank statements. Ask to speak to a few tenants to get their experience. Inspect their lease. Ask for vendor invoices or history of payments. Ask to speak to vendors. At some point before you close, list the property on Craigslist, FB Marketplace and Zillow. See how demand is for vacancies. If all still looks good, close on the property. 6. Post-closing strategy Meet all the tenants in the evening, they're at work during the day. Shake their hands. Tell them you want their experience to be amazing & you want them to stay Give them your number Ask what can be fixed If fixes are cheap, do them ASAP Tell that tenant once fixes are made. Address them by name. Clean up the park. Hire a tree guy to clear out low hanging branches. Do some simple landscaping. Find the tattletale in the park and get all the dirt. Who are the druggies and abusive husbands? Get them out ASAP if you can. They are much more expensive than the temporary vacancy hit. Fix potholes and drainage issues. ADD VALUE. Show you care. Wait a couple months before making any changes. Bring lot rents closer to market. Be upfront about this. They will understand if they've been getting a deal. Give people 2-3 more months' notice to give them time. Keep renting out vacancies at new price. This isn't self storage. You won't raise rents yearly. Don't be a jerk. Let them know what to expect. Once rents are raised and park is stabilized, you are 9-12 months in. Search Loopnet for the most active MHP brokers Hire the best one & pay what he or she commands. Sell on the market for 7-10% cap You've just 2-3x'ed your money. Rinse & repeat. I have done this over many times. Not all of my deals were bangers, but most were. THERE ARE STILL DEALS OUT THERE. There's a lot of fine print, and things can and will go wrong, so don't be dumb. Do your own research. Not everything can be explained in 1,700 words. I'm hosting a live, free webinar this Tuesday to cover this stuff in more detail. Including: 1. How to do everything above in more detail 2. How to ETHICALLY wholesale deals like these if you can't afford to buy them. 3. What hard questions to ask GPs of parks like these (like me) if you want to invest in them. 4. Live Q&A with me Comment below and me or my assistant Kelly will DM you the invite link. See you there! Or just follow me Chris Koerner for more RV/MHP content.

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No โ€œjobโ€ is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be โ€œreplacedโ€ ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for โ€œworkโ€ will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not โ€œwhat we doโ€, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. โ€” You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the โ€œcluelessโ€ 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact donโ€™t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, โ€œvirtuesโ€ and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as โ€œbig daddyโ€ to โ€œhelp usโ€. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU โ€œvolunteeringโ€ to โ€œleaveโ€ by 60, to โ€œhelp outโ€ CanadaPod style. โ€œBrian, Iโ€™m 24 what do I do?โ€. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because itโ€™s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them forโ€”nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your โ€œjobโ€ to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of โ€œthe systemโ€ wants us to berate them into the ground.

over the weekend, i built an app that i sincerely hope you will never have a need for, but if you do happen to need a friendly, free, private mri viewer designed to make it easy for you to track tumor progression, you can try it here: here's the story: as some of you may know, last last september, my six year old daughter mira was diagnosed with an extremely rare brain tumor called an adamatinomatous craniopharyngioma, and since then our family has been doing everything we can possibly do to find a cure for her. we tortured chatgpt deep research, put together our own private research team, raised $1.4M and donated it all to Hankinson-Mitra Lab research thanks to $MIRA, explored every remotely applicable drug whether on the market or not, and even began working with md anderson to develop a personalized vaccine that we hope can lead to a more permanent cure unfortunately, we received the devastating news last march that the tumor has continued to grow since her initial surgery, and we had to start to consider more drastic options which would have seriously impacted miraโ€™s quality of life. thankfully, with the help of dr. sabine mueller UCSF Benioff SF and the Hankinson-Mitra Lab at the university of colorado, in april, we started her on an alternative but extremely experimental treatment for this disease. to our unimaginable relief, her tumor has responded extraordinarily well to this treatment which combines tocilizumab (an arthritis drug that blocks IL6 receptors) with avastin (a colon cancer drug that inhibhits VEGF proteins). we know this, because mira gets an MRI scan of her brain every few months. and every time we get a new scan, the first thing we do is compare it against her last scan. so we have to find the matching weight of the scan, and then find the same plane, and then carefully find the slices of the scan where the tumor is visible, and then find the closest match to last monthโ€™s scan, then adjust the zoom, rotation, and brightness / contrast so they all look the same. we got pretty good at this. but it shouldn't be this hard. so i built last weekend using gemini 3 with some gpt 5.2 xhigh. you just import your DICOM MRI files (either zip, files or a folder), and you can align all of your scans across multiple dates instantly, just click and drag a rectangle around the tumor on any image, and it will use some very clever algorithms to automatically align up and find the closest matching slice from all your other scans, match the brightness / contrast, rotation, pan, zoom, and even shear to make sure the registration is as close as possible, and make it as easy to possible to compare tumor progression. it has a grid view so you can see all your scans for the same location all at once, and an overlay view so you can quickly compare two scans visually (by holding down the space bar to toggle quickly between two scans), along with tools to animate your scans both within the same sequence as well as over multiple scans to show progression. there is no server, it runs entirely locally on your browser - nothing ever gets uploaded and it's all open source: if you've found this useful, please consider a donation to the UCSF Benioff SF hospital foundation, who has given us extraordinary care over the past year or so:

1๏ธโƒฃ I did everything I could for Ritual I made all kinds of contributions. For 8 months, I contributed to Ritual, but I am extremely disappointed with their system. I made 181 contributions on X, bought Canva Premium to design infographics, and sent almost 17,000 messages. Despite all this, I have been permanently ignored for 8 months. Two of my friends, Ashish.Base.eth (โ–,โ–) (230 contributions) and KUNDAN (150 contributions), are facing the same treatment. Because of this unfair and favoritism based system, I decided to post on Twitter to expose it. When we raised our voice after 6 months of hard work and 150+ contributions, the so called Indian community handlers and famous team members labeled it as FUD and continued ignoring us. 2๏ธโƒฃ When we asked the Indian community handlers why we were not given roles after 8 months, they said: โ€œWe canโ€™t do anything, the team decides.โ€ But when we contacted the team or mods, they said: โ€œGo back to the Indian community handlers, they will help you.โ€ If these handlers and big mods really canโ€™t do anything, then why are they even here? They are here to build connections This system has been making fun of me and other hard working contributors. 3๏ธโƒฃ Now look at the people who received roles based on โ€œquality contributions.โ€ Everything is available with proof. One person (Yaneul) got a role with only 15 very low quality contributions (mostly food and event screenshots). He even got Ritualist with just 25 contributions. This clearly shows either connections were used or it could be a modโ€™s second account. Another person (placboeffect) got a role with just 9 contributions. Many people received roles at 35, 40, 50, 55, 60 contributions, while I had 181 contributions. This is what they call โ€œquality contributions.โ€ 4๏ธโƒฃ Now decide yourself: Who contributed more? Who worked harder? People contributing for 8 months to 1 year are ignored, while others get roles at 9 or 25 contributions. Yes, we may have wasted our time, but we did work hard. 5๏ธโƒฃ I didnโ€™t want to come to X. but after contributing like a mad person and getting ignored, I donโ€™t want to waste my time anymore. 6๏ธโƒฃ I donโ€™t know if the Josh (โ–,โ–) admin is aware of how mods and team are damaging this project Claire (โ–,โ–) she just help her country mates doesn't care about other people. 7๏ธโƒฃ Whatโ€™s the worst that can happen? They will ban me, and my 8 months of contributions will be wasted. There was never respect for real contributors anyway. If I had good connections with mods, I wouldnโ€™t have struggled this much. Itโ€™s not like Ritual is my life, or Web3 has only Ritual, or they gave me any role to take back. Now I will openly speak on X without fear. 8๏ธโƒฃ Some fearful people will read this post. They know everything thatโ€™s happening, but they wonโ€™t comment because they are scared. I understand their fear. --- 9๏ธโƒฃ Best of luck to those who keep working blindly despite seeing all this. And special luck to those who have roles because of good connections with mods. --- ๐Ÿ”Ÿ Last The so called Indian community handlers are only mods by name. One of them is a paid event manager, doing the job only for money. Another handler sends one message after 10 days. These are the people leading us in Ritual, who donโ€™t even know what theyโ€™re doing. Jez ritual/acc (โ–,โ–) dunken(ritual/acc) (โ–,โ–) Stefan | Mad Scientist (โ–,โ–) Hinata Sir W A R D E N you are mod in Donut and Dhillon saab ฯ€ยฒ you are mod at data haven, Choudhary (ร˜,G) ๊งIP๊ง‚ you are mod at Capx and sir Botsan (capx arc) you are Admin of Capx You should learn from ritual mods how to ignore real contributors and how to promote favourtism

12 Angels of Majdal Shams ๐Ÿ‘ผ Of all the things I've done in my professional life, few experiences, if any, have been as deeply meaningful, inspiring or profoundly moving as this. At the initiative of my incredible friend ERIC RUBIN ืืจื™ืง ๐ŸŸฆ ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ and the amazing organizations Athletes for Israel (AFI) ๐ŸŸฆ & Project Max that he leads, this week I had the opportunity to join two NFL legends and Hall of Famers, Nick Lowery and Tony Richardson(T Rich), in a visit to Majdal Shams, in northern Israel. In July last year, Hezbollah terrorists fired a missile, murdering 12 beautiful kids who were just playing football here. A moment that has been seared into our collective memories and heartache. We went to the site of this horrific attack and heard first-hand from the families of the children who were killed, and the indescribable devastation they suffered, as well as their herculean resilience, hope and even prayers for peace. To see these NFL legends, hardened men, who played football their entire careers in one of the toughest sports there is, brought to tears (as was I mind you), was incredibly powerful. These NFL champions, who are also super mensches by the way, also played some football with the kids in the community - at the site of the rebuilt stadium - and spent time signing autographs and handing out gifts. It was the first visit of its kind, of professional athletes, to this community. It was truly inspiring beyond words to see the smiles on these kids faces, and their parents. The moment of happiness and joy was just priceless. They also spoke about long-term projects to support this special community! This was not, like for many others, just a one-off PR visit, and then abandoning them. This is the beginning of a legitimate long-term partnership (more on that to come). We must never forget what happened and do everything possible to support and help these children, their families and the community rebuild! During their trip by the way, the NFL champions also spoke with hostage families, visited the south of Israel and spent time with Lone Soldiers. None of this would have been possible were it not for the vision, initiative and indefatigable effort of Eric Rubin, someone I am proud beyond words to know, and who is single-handedly revolutionizing using sport and athletes to support Israel, combat antisemitism and draw attention to the plight of our hostages. The State of Israel and the Jewish people are absolutely blessed to have him! As for me ... well, I'm just lucky these beautiful little kids at Majdal Shams let me have a goal at the end!

We use a site called Rafflly (Iโ€™ll link it below if you want to check it out and use it for your own giveaways), We pay $50 a month for a subscription since we have so many entries, and that lets us handle all the volume fairly and smoothly, we had 334,264 enter this time around. Iโ€™ve also included a video that shows how we link all the accounts together and run a multi network giveaway to pick one lucky person. Itโ€™s the best way to keep things fair! After it picks someone we confirm 1 that they are real and 2 they followed all the rules. And just to clear things up, our giveaways are definitely real. Josh and I run them ourselves and we cover the shipping costs out of pocket. The companies we partner with arenโ€™t paying for the shipping or paying us to run them, we do it because we want to give back to the community. Itโ€™s a win win, you get free stuff, we get a little exposure, and the brands do too and nothing gets sent to a landfill ๐Ÿ‘Œ Also, big thank you to everyone who entered the Solo Leveling giveaway! Right now, the Hatsune Miku giveaway is live, youโ€™ve got 6 days left to enter ๐Ÿ’™โœจ And on the 13th, our 3rd giveaway will go live, the all white Cougar PC ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ”ฅ see you then! ๐Ÿ’œ Thank you again for all the love and support, it genuinely makes all these giveaways possible!

Last week, I mentioned I would be exposing a Bangladeshi drugs cartel operating in Oldham. This followed intelligence that their leader had instructed his foot soldiers to โ€œbalaclava upโ€ and come after me with baseball bats. The threats came after I publicly condemned the arrest of one of their associates who was arrested as part of a police operation into the rape gangs. You may recall I released a video expressing my outrage from outside his boarded up front door and that I shared the father of the arrested man is a local imam. Naturally, Greater Manchester Police are well aware of who this gang is. Instead of arresting them, they sent two of their Muslim officers to intimidate me. If you know anything about the rape gang protectors within Oldham Police (GMP), this will come as no surprise. Let me be clear: I fully intend to expose this cartel. I donโ€™t care who leads it, how violent they are, or how many politicians or police officers are on their payroll. For the record, Iโ€™ve never had much interest in drug dealers. They usually stay out of my way, and I stay out of theirs. My fight is with the rape gangs. Their threats suggest Iโ€™ve hit a nerve. Good. I don't take bribes. Nor do I need their postal votes. And if you're wondering how dangerous they are - hereโ€™s armed police taking down some of their lieutenants. _________ The truth is out. The world is watching. And justice is coming. Iโ€™m Raja Miah MBE. For six years, I led a small team that uncovered what the state tried to bury: that politicians actively protected the rape gangs. Iโ€™m not Maggie Oliver. Iโ€™m not Tommy Robinson. Iโ€™m not Charlie Peters. Iโ€™m something different. Iโ€™m a political campaigner. I helped; - expose the political cover-up - explain how the corruption works - educate the nation to understand the racial nature of these crimes - support people to fight back and secure a National Inquiry Corrupt police and criminal politicians have tried everything to silence me. They've fabricated evidence, attempted malicious prosecutions, even a lawsuit from the Labour Party itself. All of it failed. The police, the press, the CPS, and now government ministers all had a hand in trying to shut me down. But Iโ€™m still here. I'm still standing. Still fighting. But hereโ€™s the truth: I canโ€™t do it alone. Exposing the machinery of betrayal takes more than one voice. If you want accountability, the kind of accountability that will see politicians stand trial for what they have done, then stand with me. Every day I continue, more people discover who I am. More people understand the depth of this scandal. And more of their lies collapse. You decide what thatโ€™s worth and why the powerful are so desperate to stop me. ๐Ÿ”ด Support the work. This fight is far from over. ๐Ÿ‘‰ All of my work is shared 100% for free. I just ask those that can afford to do so to support me with ยฃ3/month or ยฃ30/year. Thatโ€™s 75p a week. Pennies to most -everything to help keep me going. ๐Ÿ”ด Prefer a one-off contribution? ๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐Ÿ‘‰ Despite the odds against us, just look at how far we have come together. We are now so close. Help finish this. - Raja ๐Ÿ™

Sorry, Iโ€™m drunk: We donโ€™t have many โ€œlittle stepsโ€ left to take or make. We wonโ€™t be together much longer. She will be taken; though Iโ€™ve known it for years, it doesnโ€™t hurt less. She shined in an incredible way โ€“ a supernova. I was black-pilled after a terrible divorce complete w/ false accusations & later this woman came along; I was slow to trust & bitter but she made the world bright again. She made me smile. She gave me hope & something to come home to. I think thatโ€™s what most men aspire toโ€ฆsomething to come home to, some family unit to serve & sacrifice for. I put my own life below my childrenโ€™s, and below my wife or partner. I will suffer whatever I must for their benefit, and Iโ€™ll take satisfaction in doing it. In a weird way, it will make me happy. She is far more than I deserve & now she is wasting awayโ€ฆand I canโ€™t do anything about it, no matter how much I work or suffer. Part of me โ€“ maybe a large part โ€“ will go with her. I will soldier on for the kids, but she was so beautiful & brightโ€ฆthat light will be gone & Iโ€™m not sure whatโ€™s left. Now she struggles to get out of bed. Canโ€™t eat besides a bag of liquids hooked to a pump & tube, either. Which is only one of three tubes & bags. Cancer is devouring her. She weighs 80 pounds. Sheโ€™s still beautiful. I will be lost without her; no purpose or rudder. I was going to show her the world & how to have spontaneous adventuresโ€ฆsheโ€™d started learning to non-rev & we made good use of it, but itโ€™s not to be. Iโ€™ll carry on for the kids, but I just donโ€™t see anything for me, and Iโ€™m tired of being the good soldier & sucking up all the bad shit. So, so tired of โ€œyouโ€™ll surviveโ€. Iโ€™m sorry. Like I said, Iโ€™m drunk. I need to let this stuff out sometimes. Bobby Brown had a great sentiment & my GF danced to it in the video: โ€œEvery little step I take, you will be there Every little step I make, weโ€™ll be togetherโ€ I was against commitments when we met, then skeptical, then hoped & lived for it. I rejoiced in finding a partner like her โ€“ sheโ€™s just so good. Then I was robbed of it. More importantly, she was robbed of everything. I already mourn for her, and part of that is mourning for all that could have been for her. The world is losing an amazing woman. Just a zombie at this point. Not feeling much of anything. Sorry, drunk musings as I go through my phone. I try not to talk about this, and I am really good when sheโ€™s unloading on me, but I donโ€™t have anyone else to share that with & sometimes it builds up. Iโ€™m not a threat to anyone or myself; my job actually gives me some joyโ€ฆbut Iโ€™m just hurting at home now.

This app uses AirDrop to send files from your Android phone to your Macbook! Yes, it actually uses AirDrop. That means you don't have to install ANYTHING on your Mac to send files from your Android phone! Here's a video of a Galaxy Z Flip 5 AirDropping a file to a Macbook running macOS Ventura 13.5.1. (Thanks to u/FragmentedChicken for testing this app for me and sharing the video!) A few months ago, Twitter user @Linus13499209 brought an app called WarpShare to my attention. WarpShare is an app made by the developers of MoKee, an AOSP-based custom ROM that was popular in China. Since MoKee wasn't as popular outside of China, it seems the existence of their WarpShare app slipped under the radar. I was skeptical about whether it would work at all. Grishka, the developer of NearDrop, an open source port of Google's Nearby Share to macOS, told me that they were under the assumption that AirDrop requires the use of AWDL (Apple Wireless Direct Link, Apple's proprietary WiFi-based protocol) to communicate both ways. However, it seems that AWDL is only required for your Android phone to be discoverable by your Mac (ie. to send files from your Mac to your Android phone) but not the other way around. Because of this, though, WarpShare only supports sending files from Android to Mac but not vice versa. Your Mac also needs to have AirDrop discoverability set to "everyone" for this to work, as "contacts-only" requires Apple-signed certificates. Plus, it also doesn't support sending files from Android to iPhones or iPads, even when "everyone" mode is enabled. Still, if you find other Android --> Mac file sharing options to be lackluster, give WarpShare a try! The fact that it works at all is incredible, which is why I'm sharing this news here. If you want to download WarpShare on your Android device, you'll need to compile the app from its source code. If you're a Patron/X subscriber, however, I will share my compiled APK with you. HOW WE MAKE OUR TRIPS MAGICAL - Cooking classes. In Mexico City, our guide took us to the market, then we all made extra-spicy salsa together. This is a beautiful way to visit places you wouldn't know about and get involved in a tactile activity. Perfect for families and older parents and very inexpensive. - The $325 underwear. We'd been traveling for weeks and needed to do our laundry. Our hotel, Aman Kyoto, would have charged $325 for a small bag of laundry (standard price for all ultra-luxury hotels). I said "NO WAY!!!" and we decided to go into town and find a laundromat. It turned into an adventure (as we stumbled into place after place that wasn't quite right -- one lady translated for us and said, "Are you trying to wash your clothes? This isn't the right place. This place restores kimonos"). We finally found a local laundromat, took our best guess if it would work, and went to lunch. Now this is a fun ritual for us every time we travel. Sometimes cheaper is way more fun - We hire a local photographer. We love our memories of our trips and local photographers know the best spots/time to take photos. Find the best ones on Instagram. In Tokyo, we use the same photographer every year - On complex trips, I work with a travel advisor. I used a larger firm for a 6-week trip across multiple continents, which was invaluable: They helped us navigate different transportation, recommended which safari lodges to visit (and in what order), and even suggested where to economize & where to splurge. Sometimes I know exactly where I want to go so I call a more surgical travel advisor. In the video, he got our NYC hotel triple-upgraded. Or sometimes I just do it myself. TAs are especially helpful for Disney trips, honeymoons, and multi-generational trips. (They also cost you nothing, but you should look into how they work. I find them very valuable) - 1 major activity every two days. The ultimate luxury is time, so we have a rule: 4+ days in any location. We also book 1 major thing (food tour, museum, etc). The rest of the time, we've pinned a bunch of stuff and we wander where we feel like that day - We know exactly what we DON'T want to see. When I'm attending a private tour, I tell them what I want to experience and what I'm not interested in. Most tour guides will take you to the usual hotspots because it's safe and people can say they saw X or ate Y. I know exactly what I want to see. For example, on a coffee tour, I told them the exact kind of beans I wanted to try and what I was not into. People in hospitality love someone who knows what they want!! This level of intentionality means you get to experience magic (it's not rude) I travel several months per year and I want my travel to be incredibly meaningful for my loved ones and me. These are some of the ways I do it If you want to know more, let me know in the comments More details on the next post

Reading with your baby isnโ€™t always as simple as it might seem. Earlier this week, a parent asked how Iโ€™d advise reading to a toddler who may not have the attention span for a full book and who, when handling them, often tears the pages. Iโ€™m so glad you asked! This fantastic video, shared to TT a couple years back by hanzcakess, illustrates both the realities of - and several important lessons for - parents and caregivers when it comes to reading with infants and toddlers. First, when reading with very young children itโ€™s important to begin with realistic expectations. At this little guyโ€™s age (which Iโ€™m going to guess is around a year, give or take 2 months) babiesโ€˜ attention spans are VERY limited. Think 1-2 minutes tops. What does that mean for you? First it means that youโ€™re unlikely to make it through an entire book. And thatโ€™s just fine. Rest assured that thereโ€™s still great value in the activity. Further, donโ€™t be surprised if your child is more interested in interacting with (or at the earliest stages, even chewing on) the book itself rather than attending to the story it contains. Thatโ€™s ok too. For both reasons, beginning with sturdy, laminated board books is well advised. Not only do these tend to be super short (with most intended to accommodate for babiesโ€™ brief attention spans), but theyโ€™re made to withstand the rigors of handling by infants and toddlers. Now, some might look at this video and (on first glance, at least) see primarily inattention. But not me! Hereโ€™s what I see: First, I see a completely normal toddler whoโ€™s already putting some really impressive book knowledge on display. Notice heโ€™s advancing front to back and left to right as he turns pages sequentially. Theyโ€™ve done this often. Also want to shout out what a truly fantastic job Dad is doing here. Notice that heโ€™s totally letting his son dictate the terms the activity. Heโ€™s not insistent on completing the text, but goes with the flow as his son turns the pages. As the pages turn heโ€™s helping to illustrate that the print on each one contains a unique message. And heโ€™s singing the text! Brown Bear is a great book for this and many board books lend themselves particularly well here. Your baby isnโ€™t judging your singing voice. Kudos on making the experience engaging. In light of all the above, donโ€™t be afraid to stray from the text altogether as needed and use this time to simply engage in conversation about the pictures and introduce some new vocabulary. Finally, while lap reading is fantastic, at this age you may also find benefit in reading face to face, allowing your child to tune into your expressions alongside the book. Remember, thereโ€™s nothing your baby loves seeing more than you. Rest assured this stage doesnโ€™t last forever. Youโ€™ll be snuggling up for longer sessions in no time. And while weโ€™re on the topic of reading, I want to give a special shout out to my friends at Reach Out and Read, which is a fantastic program you may know from distributing books and sharing advice like this via your pediatricianโ€™s office. Today Iโ€™m thrilled to be the guest on their newest podcast, discussing my book The Daycare Myth. Iโ€™ll include a link in the first reply below.
