Why is it such a nightmare trying to find a hair stylist as a Black woman? I have my sew-in and my braider that I'm happy with, but trying to find someone who styles and cuts natural hair has restarted the nightmarish cycle of trying to find, book, and actually make it to the chair of someone new. The prices are going up (which is fine I'm not hating on what you can charge), but the experience from A-Z has plummeted when looking for someone new. All I ask is, can we get the experience to match the price or the price to match the experience? If you do that, great...if you don't, please do better. The LA riots are trying to spread with Gavin Newsom and CA Congressman fanning the flames, but the Trump administration isn't fucking around this time. The hope is that an example is made of LA, so it doesn't spread like they're trying to get it to. Understand also that a lot of this is paid agitators that are protected. So if you think you're going to take your civilian ass out there and protest for the "greater good," think again. Lastly, introducing Palantir is not the answer. Rounding up the worst of them and sticking them in Alcatraz until they can be deported will work just fine. Then, take the pork out of the BBB and pass it with the funding for the wall.

I think it’s easy to forget the bigger picture - your ‘raison d’être’ - and, more importantly, all of the wonderful things you’ve already achieved, when you’re in the trenches of life. Whether you’re trying to find a new job, write the novel you’ve been saying you’re going to write for years… Or, like me, trying to put together a collection and organise an exhibition, all the while convinced that it’ll be a total failure, obviously. Here’s some clips from the past couple of years - some new work and some old work.

The "find out" phase of Canadian history is awesome to witness. Here's a video from a few days ago taken in Montreal. A cyclist thought stops signs were just optional. She lives, but she has terrible injuries. I personally find cyclists to be some of the most insufferable assholes on our streets. The rules that apply to vehicles, and exactly the same for bikes. You don't have an automatic right of way, especially at intersections. And take your fucking earbuds out.
