The PM also said that unfortunately, even after Independence, statues of British figures continued to occupy prominent spaces. In this spirit, a statue of C. Rajagopalachari (Rajaji), the first Governor-General of independent Bharat who viewed power as service, will be installed at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 23rd February, followed by the ‘Rajaji Festival’.
