Dr Irvin Khoza & his crew appeared in Parliament on Tuesday, 18 November Besides asking the PSL to be excused from the committee, he mentioned that the PSL is happy with the introduction of VAR in the PSL. He asked more details about other costs which may force the PSL to pay for. He asked about the type of VAR He also mentioned that the PSL is concerned by the new broadcasting company that took over Multichoice. He says there is no longer guarantee that the new folks will be the broadcasting partner of the league

Bill Cowher says assistant coaches are more important than the head coach, and explains why he coached his coaches instead of his players: “There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. Let’s be respectful of the fact that we don’t know everything. That’s the receiver’s fault.’ How do you know?” “You weren’t in that meeting room. The game is chess. It’s not checkers.” “We look at the head coaches, but let’s look at the assistant coaches. To me, those are more important. I didn’t coach the players as a head coach. I coached the coaches.” “I wanted them to have that relationship with the player, not just me. If intervention was needed, I would intervene. But let them do their thing.” “Let the coaches call their games. Let the coaches coach the individual players. You can see it from afar and coach the coaches. That’s how you give them a chance to become a head coach.”

🚨 PSL Founder Says a “Comrade” in Congress Should “Disrupt” It as the Party Prepares for Revolution Brian Becker is remarkably explicit about what he thinks socialist political power is for. “If we have one of our comrades get into the US Congress,” Becker says, “we’re going to use it to disrupt the US Congress,” expose the capitalists and billionaires, and explain why capitalism should be “toppled and replaced” by socialism. He then imagines a socialist government made up of DSA, PSL, other parties, and unions taking power, canceling mortgages, and “liquidating” the capitalist class as a possessing class. From there, Becker describes PSL’s current work as “preparatory work” for the cascading crises he believes are coming. “The people make revolution, but the people must have a leadership that has experience, is grounded in perspective, and has training in terms of how to function. That’s the reason we built the PSL, for no other reason.”

Three years ago the Alabama Baseball program was in a totally different spot than they are right now, in Omaha for the College World Series. Former interim head coach, Jason Jackson, is now the associate head coach. Coach Rob Vaughn did not have a previous relationship with “JJ” yet still kept Jackson on the Alabama Baseball coaching staff. Vaughn thoroughly described Jackson’s impact: “[Jackson] trusted me in a time where that guy didn’t have to do that. He had some people calling to hire him that summer. He had just led the team through a great thing, there were some big time pitching coach jobs that were open wanting to talk to him and he chose Alabama.”
