NEW: Chicago police open fire on the driver of a wanted vehicle in Humboldt Park. According to police, the white Mercedes was possibly linked to a shooting that happened on Monday. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the man started driving before allegedly hitting a woman and crashing into a CTA bus multiple times. "The vehicle struck an adult female pedestrian in the street and continued to flee... [He] struck the bus multiple times with the vehicle and struck an unmarked squad car," police said, adding that a gun was recovered from the vehicle. After he was arrested in Dallas on May 30 for allegedly driving without a valid license, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm, a suspect in Texas decided to take the police wheel into his own hands. The incident happened after the suspect secretly removed his left hand from his handcuffs. When officers began driving to jail, the suspect attempted to open the squad car's rear door, prompting the officers to get out of the car, and eventually climbed into the driver’s seat and took off. One of the officers managed to jump into the backseat of the vehicle. That officer then attempted to stop the suspect by tasing him and striking him on the side of the head with his firearm. The suspect opened the driver’s side door and jumped out after driving what police said was a distance of about 1,000 feet. At that point, the police officer was able to regain control of the patrol car, and the suspect was given medical assistance before being taken back into custody, where he faces numerous charges.

Here's what he said : Yogesh was picked up by POLICE COMMISSIONERATE GAUTAM BUDDH NAGAR last night over a complaint by women who were his co-workers at a Bakery. He & his colleague had a fight with these women about a month back. Fiancée and Her Lover Arrested for Murdering #Pune Real Estate Director by Pushing Him Off Lohagad Fort In a big twist in the death of real estate firm director Ketan Vishal Agrawal, police on Tuesday arrested his fiancée and her lover for allegedly pushing him into a deep gorge off Lohagad Fort in Pune and passing it off as an accident, officials said. While the incident, which occurred on June 18, was initially believed to be a case of an accidental fall at the historic Lohagad Fort, the investigation pointed to a murder conspiracy, they said. Agarwal (26), a resident of Gahunje in Pune district and director of a family-run real estate business, was found dead in a gorge near the fort on June 18. The police had then said Agarwal fell nearly 400 feet into the gorge while taking photographs during a trek with his fiancée and friends amid strong winds at the fort. An accidental death report was registered after his fiancée, Siya Goyal, told the #Lonavala rural police that Agarwal had slipped and fallen while the couple was on an outing at the hill fort. Agarwal was scheduled to marry Goyal later this year. It was learned that the families had made elaborate wedding preparations, including booking a palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan, for the ceremony. Superintendent of Police, Pune rural, Sandip Singh Gill, said the circumstances surrounding the death appeared suspicious, which prompted police to investigate the case thoroughly. "Our teams examined multiple angles, including financial disputes and personal relationships. During the probe, police allegedly found that Goyal was in a relationship with another man, identified as Chetan Babulal Chaudhary (22), a resident of Kondhwa in Pune," he said. The investigation showed that Goyal was unwilling to marry Agarwal and considered him an obstacle to her relationship with Chaudhary, the official said. The two allegedly conspired to eliminate Agarwal. As part of the plan, Goyal took him to Lohagad Fort under the pretext of an outing, while Chaudhary was called to the spot later. The duo then allegedly pushed Agarwal off the fort, leading to his death, police said. Based on suspicion, the local crime branch took Chaudhary into custody. During interrogation, it emerged that since Agarwal was becoming an obstacle in Chaudhary's relationship with Goyal, both of them plotted to eliminate her fiancé. Goyal was also arrested based on Chaudhary's interrogation, the police said. "Following a complaint lodged by Ketan's father, Vishal Agarwal, the Lonavala rural police registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on Tuesday," Gill said. Further investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events, collect forensic evidence and determine if other persons were involved in the alleged conspiracy, police officials said. Lohagad fort is linked to the history of Maratha empire founder Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is one of the 12 forts in Maharashtra listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The victim, a resident of Bangaon village in Kurukshetra, works in the loan section of HDFC Bank in Kurukshetra and currently undergoing chemotherapy for bone cancer in his left leg. He was stopped by a Home Guard during routine check while he was returning home on his motorcycle and after that a Dial-112 team arrived at the spot in a vehicle without a number plate. Later one of the drunk ASI of the Dial 112 slapped him, snatched his mobile and then he was forcibly taken to the Ladwa police station where his motorcycle was impounded. The victim alleged that after some time he was taken to room number four inside the police station where he was beaten up and then two ASIs and one home guard forced him to undress and took turns to rape him multiple times. The Man alleged that after seeing that his legs having no hair due to chemotherapy they said, “iski jaanghon par to bilkul bhi bal nahin han, ladkiyon se bhi jyada chikna hai yeh to". The Man was later released after being gang raped for hours inside the Police Station and was subsequently handed over to his family, who were summoned to the station. Next morning, while bathing, the victim noticed he was bleeding. initially he did not tell this to anyone because of shame and fear but later he shared the entire incident with his family after his condition started deteriorating. He is currently being treated at LNJP Hospital in Kurukshetra and Doctors confirmed that the Man has a fracture on one leg and he was sexually assaulted. The Man alleged that one of the policemen was from Karnal, someone he already knew, and had previously demanded money from him, which he had refused to pay and may be that was one of the reason behind the torture and rape he faced at the Police Station. Need less to add that Shameless Kurukshetra Police neither arrested anyone nor did they lodge any FIR till now. In three days, YouTuber Bachalakuri Joseph alias Ravan was arrested for the fourth time in Andhra Pradesh. Ravan was picked up from his residence in Hyderabad, Telangana on the intervening night of 30th June 2026-1st July 2026, by the Kakinada district police and was shifted to the Pithapuram Town Police Station. He allegedly made derogatory remarks against Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan during a public meeting of Dalit Christians earlier. Ravan was granted bail by Pithapuram district court on 1st July. Within minutes of securing bail, on 2nd July morning, the Sarpavaram Police immediately arrested him. But the same night, Kakinada Mobile Magistrate Court granted Ravan bail in this second case. On 3rd July morning, again moments after he stepped out on his second bail, police from Krishna district took him into custody for the third time. Late last night he was granted bail in the Inaguduru police case. Immediately after his third bail, he was arrested for the fourth time early today morning by the Payakaraopet Police Station. He is currently being shifted to that police station and then will be produced before the magistrate. Ravan is being taken from one police station in one corner of the state to the other. Meanwhile Janasena cadre in local areas are gathering in front of police stations demanding police hand over Ravan to them. It is unfortunate how this is unfolding. Not just the whole thing reeks of absolute vendetta politics, but also is absolute waste of precious time of police and the already burdened courts. This whole situation also poses a greater law & order issue with emotions running way too high. I don’t know how long this will keep repeating, for now it is not a great look for the Andhra Pradesh government and especially for Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan. It will set a very wrong precedent..!! I have known Ravan personally. He used to be a regular on my TV debate show. While I haven’t watched his recent work, Ravan is very strongly opinionated and a strong willed individual. His YouTube Prasna (question) has a good fan base and am assuming carries the same belief system. Citizens who ask right kind of questions are essentially for a balanced Democracy. While most media is being controlled by a few individuals, independent voices like Ravan’s are extremely important. Free speech and right to freedom of expression are our fundamental constitutional rights. No one should be denied the same in a functional democracy. Three courts have granted him bail in the last three days. Aren’t the courts are telling something?!

A truly tragic story out of Kambu in Makueni County where small-scale businesswoman Zipporah Mutheu was arrested by the police because of a Ksh 465 debt and was taken into custody with her one-and-a-half-year-old child who was sick and in need of medication. On a hot Wednesday afternoon, Mutheu was in her shop when a police officer, responding to a debtor's call, showed up and arrested her. The officers allegedly beat both Mutheu and her child during the arrest before throwing them into a cell at Kambu Sub-County Police Station. Mutheu’s child was already unwell and needed further treatment. That night she begged the officers to let her take her child to the hospital. Her pleas were ignored. Early Thursday morning, the child’s condition worsened and the baby started vomiting. Mutheu tried kicking the cell door repeatedly to get attention but no one responded until it was too late – her child died in her arms. The officers allegedly refused to record the incident and instructed Mutheu to carry her dead child to the morgue herself. It took the intervention of an OCS from Mtito-Andei Station to get an OB number recorded.

Speaking to the media, Yunus Mulla said his daughter was focused on finding employment after completing her paramedical course. He added that while marriage discussions had recently taken place with a family friend, no formal engagement had been finalised. “We don’t know who took her or how she ended up in such a secluded place,” he said. “We want the police to find out who is responsible. They must be punished.” No suspects have been identified so far. Police have urged the public not to spread rumours while forensic results are awaited.
