SECHABA MOFOKENG- RELE'S DAD Rele is always smiling, and I’m now trying to adjust his character to have a more serious expression. I’m also teaching him not to smile at every person he meets in the street. He’s the kind of kid who always wants to make time for everyone, but I keep telling him, “No, maan, you’re in the PSL now. Don’t engage everyone.”🤭🤭 He still helps at home with chores like washing our cars and other tasks. He says we are abusing him🤭🤭

There are footballers who leave when Europe comes calling. Then there are footballers like Relebohile Mofokeng, we’ll never get a player like him again !😭😭😭 He had the chance to leave last year. The door to Europe was open, but he chose to stay. Not for money. Not for comfort. He stayed because he made a promise to Orlando Pirates & its supporters that he wanted to fight for the league title first. Love how this lad in the space of a week went from being incapable of commenting on immigration because he's not an "expert" and just wants to make apolitical fun content, to publicly campaigning for censorship laws with LADbible saying they don't interfere with free speech only "hate speech". He's expert enough all of a sudden. I'm sure he could tell you all about John Stuart Mill, Milton, Voltaire, Brandenburg v. Ohio etc.

Sadiq Khan’s call for Britain to rejoin the European Union is the logical endpoint of ‘liberal democracy’. The term itself is an oxymoron, how can a ‘democracy’ be liberal necessarily? Surely it is whatever the voters decide. Why can’t it be a conservative democracy? What it really means is that actual democracy - as in what most voters want - is continually qualified, mitigated, and reinterpreted by a liberal bureaucracy to achieve the outcomes they desire. The more tools the liberal bureaucracy has to do this the better for them; but the legal system and the Quangos are mere screwdrivers in the chest. The absolute sledgehammer is membership of the European Union. It adds a whole other layer of supra-national bureaucracy on top of the what we already have, it shrouds every policy every in a dense thicket of complex legislation entirely written by an unaccountable European executive, and it makes it impossible - often by treaty agreement! - to do anything that voters actually want. This is perfect for ‘liberal democracy’, and indeed Liberal Democrats, but is it what you actually want?

James Tibbs III had 3 hits last night for AA Tulsa, and is hitting .317, OPS of .960 since joining the Drillers. I had a chance to interview Tibbs III, and there are a couple of things about him. Always include the III when saying his name, because he's super proud of his last name. Also, by his description, he's not necessarily a "great athlete", but he will surprise you with how effective he is using the athletic ability he has. And, he is very analytical, but only uses analytics when something doesn't feel right, or to confirm when things are, when the data backs up the feel. Great dude, as self-aware as you could possibly want, and there are times when he makes hitting look way too easy. He stays on top of the high pitch, then turns the barrel to everything else, and it's a very satisfying process to watch. #dodgers
