I’ve been playing Cuisineer for the past few days, and it’s fine, but it feels like a watered-down Dave the Diver… just on land. Some things could have been done better. For example, this video shows the “cuisine” part of the game, but it feels so slow. You just wait for customers to sit down, pick their order, and the food cooks itself. Besides nobles, you don’t even have to serve them—they grab their own food and won’t order anything you don’t already have in stock. The ingredient hunting is also kinda dull. You pick a dungeon, and no matter how deep you go, you fight the same enemies. There are two bosses per dungeon, but they don’t drop any special materials, which makes it feel kinda pointless. Overall, it’s a bit meh so far. Maybe it blooms late game, but right now, it’s just a grind.

#JAYB talked about running into #JINYOUNG while he's on a run 🌴 our eyes met. so then… but… it was like i had seen him somewhere a lot… i mean, i only saw his eyes because he was wearing a mask, but just from the eyes it felt like someone i had seen seen a lot. so i was like… “what? ah, who is that… i’ve seen this person so many times somewhere.” he felt so familiar. he was so familiar that i was like, “what is this?” and i turned around. and when i looked at the way he walked, it felt even more familiar. i had my earphones in, but i took them out and called, “park-ssi!” but he didn’t respond. so then i thought, “ah, is it not him?” but just in case, i called him on my phone and asked, “where are you?” and jinyoung said, “was that you just now? was that you, hyung? hyung, right? the one in the red running shoes, that’s you, right?” so i said, “oh, it is you, right?” and we realized it was each other. so i turned around, ran back, talked to him for a bit, then i went back to running and jinyoung went on his way. seriously, i’m not lying. it was like a movie, our eyes just met like this. i’d seen those eyes so many times. so i was like, “what? where have i seen those?” then when i called out “park-ssi!” he didn’t hear me. so i called him, and right away, as soon as he picked up, not even “hyung, what’s up?” but right as he answered, “it’s you, right?” we must have been thinking the exact same thing

we all dream of those big wins in life the 100x, the multi-million dollar trade, or even just 10x of what you started with in 7 days i’ve been fortunate enough to experience a few of those over the past few years, and the reality is when you do win big, it doesn’t feel like it at all it hits for a split second, and then your brain just normalizes it it's a part of how to get there in the first place, but makes it a lot easier to lose it if you don't have the right guardrails in place and in that exact moment, you being even keeled doesn’t mean the number in front of you isn’t life changing it is this is where you have to slow down a bit, breathe, settle your mind don’t just roll it into some bullshit take some off the table, step away for a few days if you have to, funny enough, blowing let's say 10k of it on a beautiful trip to tokyo will save you so much because once you actually process what just happened, your future self will thank you for it the truth is, even if you think you’re going for a certain number, the moment you hit it, you’ll want more and more, and more anyone who's been in the same position will tell you the exact same thing ironically the people that win are addicted to winning and if you ask the same people in a year after that big win, what they regret and where are they proud of themselves? they will tell you they regretted rolling it over and giving some/all back or they are proud for switching back on the switch all of this is real, but it’s also exactly how i imagined it would feel years ago before it ever happened manifest your life, the feeling not just the number everything happens twice, first in your mind, then in reality

"If you watch 'Henry: Portrait of a Serial Ki!!er' (1986) often enough, you realise that in a way it’s like an extremely bizarre comedy." --- John McNaughton Full Excerpt: "Interviewer: Henry isn’t entirely unsympathetic, is he? McNaughton: I think of Henry as being a monster, but Ottis is the beast. Henry’s a bit like Frankenstein’s monster – there might just be that little bit of goodness somewhere deep inside that might come out. But once Ottis starts following Henry’s “teachings”, so to speak, he just gives way to his worst impulses and he becomes the beast. Henry is the “better” of the two, if you can make that comparison. It’s not like in most serial-ki!!er films, where what they normally do is present the ki!!er as some evil creature who will not be redeemed, so the audience doesn’t have to bother thinking any deeper thoughts. With Henry, no moral judgement is provided, so you have to think for yourself. Now that’s always been a tough sell in Hollywood. Interviewer: And there’s also a surprising amount of humour in the movie, albeit mostly very black humour. McNaughton: If you watch it often enough, you realise that in a way it’s like an extremely bizarre comedy. Tom Towles, who plays Ottis, his training was with the Second City group – improvisational comedy. He’s great at playing buffoons, and I’ve used him several times since. The relationship between Henry and Ottis is, at certain points, a little like a bickering couple – like when Ottis smashes the TV in, or when the video-camera breaks and they have their little argument in the car. The way they played those scenes makes me laugh – but of course there’s a lot about the film that’s so shocking that if somebody saw it just once they might think you were crazy to even think of laughing at it. Interviewer: Do you think the film still has the same power to shock, 18 years after you made it? McNaughton: I think it does, yes, though not quite as much as when it first came out – because this kind of thing really hadn’t been seen before. And we were trying to do something different with the presentation of the violent scenes. If you take the early scene where they ki!! the TV man – he’s this repulsive man who goads them until they attack him. It’s a quite traditional setup of introducing a distasteful character, and you’re rooting for the hero to dispatch him. And of course he gets the TV smashed over his head – it’s a kind of gratifying use of violence. Then later we have the ‘home invasion’ sequence, and that’s very different – it’s like a home movie of the massacre of a completely innocent family, chosen at random. We watch them slaughtered, and hopefully people will ask themselves – how entertaining is violence, really? Interviewer: Because in the mid-80s when the film came out, there were many violent films – the 'Rambos' and 'Terminators' and the like. McNaughton: Well, normally the hero goes and shoots a thousand people, and that’s the kind of violence that was shown in movies at the time. They think they’re going to war for Jesus and for God, and they think Pete Hegseth is the manifestation of that at the highest rank in their department. I don’t know how many it is; I wish I had some idea of just how many it is, but I know that it’s in all the ranks, all the way from private to four-star general, and I know that it is being pushed every day in the Pentagon. Even tomorrow, I think, or the next day, they’re having another prayer meeting. He’s having about one or two prayer meetings a week in the Pentagon, calling people in, and the more you listen—I’ve had a couple of tapes sent to me—the more you listen to his prayers and his comments in these prayer meetings, the more you hear, in the back of your mind, if you will, this plaintive cry from Hegseth himself, that God is on his side. Almost like he’s begging God—divine providence, although he doesn’t use those terms; it’s Jesus and Jesus and Jesus—he’s begging them to be on his side, to help him, to help all the soldiers and sailors and airmen and marines. That’s the way he presents these meetings and gets down on his knees and prays. This is very new to me, and I think I’m right in saying, very new to the Department of Defense or war.

The neighbor hired a company to remove their tree, they even have a 55ft bucket lift, and the workers seem to know what they are doing. Until you see they tied a small rope to the tree, they assure you it will pull the tree the other way and they’ve don’t it many times before. Now you use a tree in the middle of your living room, and the company is claiming it was an act of god, are they still responsible?
