Kudos to Bajrang dal. Itโ€™s the tip of iceberg. Muslim female family membersโ€™ involvement means that we need a special 498a kind of law. (498a indeed is now only misused but anti-love jihaad law will be far more likely to be used than misused.).

Priyanka has no problem with that . She didn't file a case. She had a problem with her husband who didn't have another wife and five children. BNS has some solution to the live in relation and inter religious marriages. She should not have the right to sell the property.

A late-night murder in Gondikheda Charan village of Dhar district on Tuesday turned out to be a planned crime with the victim's wife, who initially tried to pass it off as a robbery, emerging as key accused. Police arrested Priyanka Purohit (27) and her alleged lover Kamlesh (33) for the murder of her husband Devkrishna Purohit. According to police, Kamlesh paid around Rs one lakh to his aide Surendra Singh to carry out the killing. Surendra is currently absconding. Initially, after the incident, Priyanka had told police that three to four men entered the house at night, held them hostage in separate rooms and fled with jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh and Rs 50,000 in cash after killing her husband. During investigation, the supposedly looted ornaments were recovered from within the house, raising immediate suspicion. During the probe led by SP Mayank Awasthi, several inconsistencies emerged. Priyanka allegedly changed her statements, her mobile phone was missing and the jewellery reported stolen was later recovered from inside the house. These findings raised suspicion about the robbery claim. The nature of the attack - including a deep, targeted head injury - suggested intent rather than a botched robbery. Forensic and circumstantial evidence at the scene further strengthened doubts about the sequence she described. Within six hours, sustained questioning broke her version. She confessed to plotting the murder with Kamlesh, driven by their relationship and the desire to eliminate her husband. Police said Priyanka had been married to Devkrishna since she was around 15. She had recently returned from her parental home days before the incident, during which investigators believe the final plan was set in motion. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS.

A 22-year-old woman, an IIT graduate and the daughter of a senior bureaucrat, was found dead at her home in southeast Delhi's East of Kailash area. Police said she was raped before being strangled to death with a phone charger. She was alone at home at the time of the incident. There were no signs of forced entry. Police have arrested a 19-year-old domestic help, Rahul, who had worked at the house and was dismissed over a month ago. "Investigations revealed that he used to play online games and would borrow money from other servants in the vicinity, or from domestic staff working in nearby households, without ever repaying them. This is why he was fired," Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said. He was arrested from a hotel in the Dwarka area, where he had been hiding. He is being charged with rape, murder and robbery, police said. Rahul was seen in CCTV footage leaving the victim's residence at 6:28 am, police said. According to police, the woman was found by her family members inside the house under suspicious circumstances, after which the authorities were alerted. The victim had completed her schooling at DPS RK Puram and later graduated from IIT Delhi. She was preparing for the UPSC examination. When police reached Rahul's residence in Alwar, they found that he had previously been involved in a sexual harassment case. Police said the accused arrived in Delhi from Alwar the previous night and is suspected to have entered the house using a spare key. Police said Rahul had been hired with a reference from a superintendent posted at the IRS officer's office.

The wedding drums had barely quieted in a village in #Haryana's #Panipat when panic swept through the home where relatives had gathered. A day of celebration unravelled into a nightmare after a six-year-old girl, dressed for the festivities, suddenly disappeared. Within hours, the joyous atmosphere turned into a frantic search and soon after, a crime scene. By the end of the day, police uncovered a chilling murder case with the main suspect reminiscent of the Evil Queen from the German fairy tale Snow White. A woman, accused of killing four children, has been arrested for murdering her niece in Panipat, police said on Wednesday. The reason: she did not want anyone to look "more beautiful" in the family than her. The accused, Poonam, drowned her 6-year-old niece in a water tub on Monday when the entire family had gathered for a wedding function in Sonipat. According to the police, Poonam had earlier killed three children, including her 3-year-old son in 2023, whom she had murdered the same way as her niece -- by drowning. The victim, Vidhi, lived in Sonipat and had come to Naultha village in Panipat's Israna area to attend a relative's wedding with her family. She was accompanied by her grandfather Pal Singh, grandmother Omwati, father Sandeep, mother, and 10-month-old younger brother. The incident occurred when the wedding procession arrived in Naultha at 1.30 pm on Monday, and all the guests gathered outside the relative's house. During this time, Poonam noticed Vidhi climbing the stairs to the roof. She followed her onto the rooftop of the house and struck up a conversation with the girl. Once she had gained Vidhi's trust, Poonam asked her to step into a plastic tub filled with water that was kept in the storeroom. As soon as Vidhi did so, she drowned her by forcing her head and neck under the water, latched the door from the outside, and went back downstairs. Soon after, Vidhi's father, who had left with the procession, received a phone call informing him that she was missing. The family began searching for her. About an hour later, her grandmother Omwati went to the storeroom of their relative's house. The storeroom door was bolted from the outside. When she opened it, she found Vidhi with her head submerged in a water tub and feet on the ground. The child was rushed to the NC Medical College, where the doctors declared her dead. Vidhi's grandfather, Pal Singh, later registered a First Information Report (FIR), alleging that she was murdered. Police investigation revealed that the accused, Poonam, was Vidhi's paternal aunt. According to the police, Poonam had a disturbing pattern of drowning her nieces, driven by jealousy and resentment, because she did not want anyone to look "more beautiful" than her. She specifically targeted young, pretty girls, police said. In total, Poonam has confessed to killing four children -- three nieces and her own son -- all by drowning under similar circumstances. In 2023, Poonam had killed her sister-in-law's 9-year-old daughter, Ishika, drowning her in a water tank. Fearing that her in-laws might suspect her of her niece's murder, she also drowned her 3-year-old son, Shubham. In August this year, she murdered her cousin brother's 6-year-old daughter, Jia, in Siwah village because the girl looked 'prettier' than her. The deaths of these children had been presumed accidental until Poonam confessed the truth during questioning in the Vidhi murder case.
