after first round of journey - single colour will be transformed to Red, green, yellow, brown and so on. Seats could be torn out too. Blankets stolen. What not. Jail term upto 7 years and a fine 10 times the damage and an year of public service must be made mandatory.

But the real meaning of development will be when a person travelling in the general and ordinary category also feels honoured and safe. The success of the country's rail system should be measured not only by new and fast trains, but also by the smile of the common passenger who can reach his destination without jostling, without humiliation and without inconvenience. That might not be the train, but these are the trains used by the common man in the same so-called New India. The condition of these trains and their passengers is also a reflection of the same New India.
