This sudden division of Hindu votes on caste lines and the amplification of SC-ST vote-bank politics in Bengal is a shameful and dirty game. The Hindus of Bengal have remained united for the last 500 years since the time of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. To divide this united Hindu society along caste lines is the greatest disservice. This issue was NEVER Juneteenth... No one normal has an issue with celebrating the last slaves being freed. The issue is when that history is turned into a weapon to push more division within our country. We absolutely CANNOT move forward by constantly separating & segregating ourselves on the basis of race, but instead by remembering our history (within its proper context), honoring freedom, and standing together as Americans.
