Secretary Balisacan also stressed that the Philippines should strengthen its agriculture and manufacturing sectors further to ensure... sustainability and resiliency of the country's economy. "I think over the years, I'm quite confident that our economy now is more stable than any time in the past. It's more diversified, but we need to continue improving, working and developing other pillars of growth," the NEDA Secretary said. "For example, the services sector is a big part of the economy. Our focus remains on staying ahead of the potential risks to New Zealand and minimising the impacts on inflation and growth in our economy. That means ensuring we continue to secure the fuel we need to protect Kiwi jobs, livelihoods and the wider economy. The fuel update today shows that New Zealand continues to have sufficient fuel stocks in the country and there is more on the way. Fuel importers have not reported any issues with future orders or shipments. And therefore, we remain at Phase 1 of our National Fuel Response Plan.

Australia is well placed and well prepared to deal with the uncertainty we see in the global economy because of the progress that we’ve made together over the course of the past three years. Economic data has been plagued by massive downward benchmark revisions for YEARS. They never learn. We just got even more (reprehensible) confirmation of the same thing, that markets were right the entire time. The latest one comes from the Fed itself. Industrial output was just lowered by a HUGE amount. See for yourself. The worst offender is the production of consumer goods. That would seem to be a big one, don’t you think? If producers were in reality producing a lot less for consumers, that would further establish what those producers in the real economy really thought about the state of consumers and, by extension, jobs, incomes and everything that is important. And since the economy that we think we see today is already looking pretty ugly, you see what I mean when I say the economy is getting more not less certain?
