VIDEO | Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin questioned the national selectors over the omission of prolific domestic performers Auqib Nabi and Sarfaraz Khan from the Test side, saying players are losing faith in the value of domestic cricket if strong performances are not rewarded with opportunities at the highest level. "I feel very sad for Auqib Nabi. He has taken around 60 wickets this season and around 50 last year, but we still don't find him a place in the Test team. It is very disappointing and surprising. Everybody says players have to perform in domestic cricket, but what is the use of playing the domestic season if those performances are not being recognised? Auqib Nabi is a very good Test-match bowler and an excellent exponent of swing bowling," Azharuddin said. "He (Sarfaraz Khan) has been given a chance after the New Zealand series. I don't think they have played him in any matches. I think it is fine if he scored 100 in that game. I mean, you need to give consistent chances. If you don't give chances, it becomes very difficult. He has not been given a chance in Australia also and in England also. So, what does that mean? Or what does that augur? So, I think the selectors need to look into this performance. Speaking to Middle East Eye at London’s mass demonstration marking 77 years since the Nakba, British actor Khalid Abdalla , widely known for his role as Dodi Fayed in The Crown, reflected on his deep personal connection to the Palestinian struggle. “Twenty-five years ago today I was in the West Bank,” he recalled. “The first thing I heard from a child was, ‘How many people were shot today?’” Describing the Nakba as an “ongoing catastrophe,” Abdalla pointed to the structural injustices that continue to underpin the crisis, exacerbated by the siege on Gaza and the expansion of apartheid-like policies. He criticised the UK’s growing arms exports to Israel under the Labour government, calling it a “great shame” and a betrayal of the country’s stated support for human rights.

It has been a huge pleasure for us today to welcome former Coventry City manager Mark Robins to award him with an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration 👏 Mark oversaw promotions from League Two and League One, while also taking his side to within a penalty kick of a return to the Premier League. Coventry City also won the EFL Trophy in 2017 and reached an FA Cup semi-final last season for the first time since 1987. While all good things must come to an end, we were delighted to recognise the positive impact that he's had on football and the community of Coventry as a whole. #PUSB #CCFC

Charleston 7 Foot Sophomore Chol Machot has been one of the most intriguing players in mid major basketball this season Through his first three games he’s averaging 13/7/1 along with 2 BPG in only 21 MPG, he’s also shooting 60% from the field. Machot moves extremely well for his size and uses that to play a rim running role offensively and play as a switchable rim protector on the defensive end. There’s not a lot of bigs in mid major basketball with Chol’s size, mobility and scoring ability.

Charleston 7 Foot Sophomore Chol Machot has been one of the most intriguing players in mid major basketball this season Through his first three games he’s averaging 13/7/1 along with 2 BPG in only 21 MPG, he’s also shooting 60% from the field. Machot moves extremely well for his size and uses that to play a rim running role offensively and play as a switchable rim protector on the defensive end. There’s not a lot of bigs in mid major basketball with Chol’s size, mobility and scoring ability.
