Shocking! A private travels bus was completely engulfed in flames killing about 25 passengers Cauvery Travels bus (DD 01 AN 9190) coming from Bangalore to Hyderabad was gutted in flames on the main road at Chinnatekur in Kurnool district. According to locals, 42 people were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident and only 12 people survived escaping from the emergency exit !! A two wheeler rammed into the bus causing the fire. More details are awaited! Condolences to the families of the victims! This isn’t the first time a fire accident took place in a private bus. There will be anger and some regulations for a week at max and things go back to “normal” very soon. #Kurnool #Bangalore #Hyderabad

The effective way to get billionaires to toe the line, is to arrest and jail one of them. Russia had a problem billionaires who thought that they controlled Russia and the Kremlin. They had a feast during Yeltsin’s rule. Putin came to power and they believed they could do as they please. In the video below, a group of billionaires close their factories in protest. Putin called them to a meeting and forced them to reopen the factories. One particular billionaire Mikhail Khodorkovsky, at the time Russia’s wealthiest man, arrogantly believed that he could defy Putin and do as he pleased because of his wealth and influence. He was arrested and jailed for 11 years; and his companies expropriated by the State. Russia today has no people of rogue billionaires. We have a problem of rogue billionaires in this country, particularly the Oppenheimers. An investigation can find some criminal wrongdoing on them. It is important to make an example with one family that believes it runs affairs of this country. We won’t have a problem of “markets” in the future.

I watched a YouTube interview of Josphat Somanje explaining how Pengaudzoke started its journey in music. To record their first album in 1986, they used to walk all the way from a farm in Marondera via Seke/Chitungwiza all the way to Grammar Records in Southerton, Harare. To record the entertainment people used to enjoy back then, they would walk 70km to/from Marondera! He explains that one day, they missed death by a whisker when they crossed a flooded Nyatsime River at the end of 1986. Imagine the hoops these guys used to go through to deliver a product. Think of the laziness in our young generation - how they spent half their time whining and doing sh*t with all the comforts of modern technology: smartphones, AI, computers, Internet, machine tools etc. It reminds me of Nyamhondera’s narration of how Macheso recorded his first album in 1997 - he had no transport money so he would walk from Chitungwiza via Epworth to Grammar in Msasa - and in the end deliver a product. This generation of youngsters we have is too soft!

Think of the laziness in our young generation - how they spent half their time whining and doing sh*t with all the comforts of modern technology: smartphones, AI, computers, Internet, machine tools etc. It reminds me of Nyamhondera’s narration of how Macheso recorded his first album in 1997 - he had no transport money so he would walk from Chitungwiza via Epworth to Grammar in Msasa - and in the end deliver a product. About 300 people from 10 countries have been waiting at the Salla border crossing point between Russia and Finland - Murmansk region governor. Russian Fontanka media has researched chats in which refugees (mostly from Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Morocco) discuss ways and costs to reach the Russia-Finland border. Hundreds of people participate in these discussions. According to these chats, intermediaries bring people to the border by cars, then give them bicycles and send to the crossing. Services of an intermediary cost about €2,000-3,000. This includes an invitation to visit Russia, hotel reservations, plane tickets to Minsk or Moscow, getting to St Petersburg and then to the border. Bicycles are paid for separately. After Finland closed the border crossing points closest to St Petersburg, the price increased and intermediaries started letting migrants out 30 km from the crossing point. There is no clear proof that Russian authorities are involved and the actions are deliberate. But it seems that the business to get the migrants to the border is real and it is rather active. Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor of Justice of Finland has blocked the government's suggestion to close the border with Russia completely, Yle media reports. According to the Vice-Chancellor, closing the border won't provide the guarantees to keep a real and effective chance for migrants to ask for international protection. I think the local ospreys are always trying to outdo each other and when it comes to amazing fish to yank from the ocean, the ribbon fish is high on the list of rarities. I have only seen this a handful of times but every single time I have witnessed an osprey flying around with this prehistoric alien like creature clutched tightly in its talons, the osprey will look down in disbelief at its newly acquired meal and then proceed to parade it around the skies showing off to all the other birds in the area. Easily one of my favorite fish to see them haul away.

George Soros rewrote history textbooks for an entire generation across 15 former Soviet countries, and most of them have no idea it happened. Russia also transitioned to the so-called Bologna system. But at some point, the country pulled back from that direction, or rather, the leadership did. At the same time, a similar rewriting of history was happening across all the countries of the former USSR. And as you know, Putin was not there to fix that. So people in those countries effectively woke up one day to a completely different version of history, often the opposite of what they had learned in school, and newer generation is learning traitors as heros. A distorted version of history exists in parts of Europe as well, while in the United States, historical awareness is often minimal to begin with.

A Semiconductor company was planning to invest in Karnataka. They were told by the Union Govt that if they want incentives, they shouldn't invest in 'Enemy States' according to a Karnataka Minister. Usually 'Enemy States' is a term used for enemy countries, but now it is used to address non-BJP ruled states. Modi Govt is weaponizing Central Schemes to promote investments to Gujarat and only Gujarat! Union Govt is supposed to be impartial, but even Maharashtra which is a BJP ruled state is also considered an enemy state. We are not against Gujarat's development. But India is not just Gujarat and Gujarat is not entire India. When a new Govt comes in the centre and if all projects are taking to another state, how will people of Gujarat feel? It is the same feeling that rest of India is having. States like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have invested in technology, talent and created an ecosystem in semiconductor and other technology area over several decades. But they are declared as enemy states just for one man's ego. This will not end well. In one of it's kind initiative we have planted 37,500 propagules of Rhizophora & Avicenia species under the Green Tamil Nadu Mission last year. This would help to conserve marine biodiversity and enhance livelihood opportunities for the local community. Like being in a cage: the story of children from the Novopetrivtsi boarding school The first weeks of the full-scale war the children of the Novopetrivtsi boarding school spent in a cold basement. The kids almost did not go outside because of the constant shelling. Once they were almost killed by debris - they managed to run into the storage room in time. The basement was damp and cold. The adults somewhere got small stoves, which they used to warm the #children. Russians occupied the village at the beginning of March. Military invaders quickly found a boarding school and children. They put a guard at the entrance. And they count the children every day. The director of the institution was threatened with a weapon so that she would not give the pupils to their relatives. In July 2022, the occupiers forced 16 children and staff to pack up and leave the boarding school at gunpoint. The children were placed in cars separately with Russian drivers and taken first to Stepanivka in the #Kherson region. Later, they were transported across the #Dnipro to the left bank and then by train to Anapa. There, they stayed for some time in the Pearl of Russia camp. Despite being captured, they managed to keep in touch with their loved ones, who prayed for the children's return to #Ukraine by all means. Children in occupied territories are vulnerable and unprotected from the enemy's cruelty. Orphans are the most vulnerable category because no one can protect them. The Russians try in every way to use them for their criminal purposes and manipulate them. It is easy to kidnap these children, transport them to another territory, make their new documents, give them to a #Russian family for upbringing, force them to study in a Russian school, or become a member of any militarized children's organization. We are happy that we have accomplished another successful mission. This is an interesting difference between China and Europe, restaurant-wise. Nowadays, only the most upscale restaurants in Europe (Michelin-starred or the like) tend to offer a farm-to-table experience with their own personal veggie/fruit garden. And even then, it's really rare. To have this type of experience, you often need to spend at least 100 euros per head. When you travel in rural China, these types of restaurant are standard: you literally have tens of thousands of them, they're very affordable and we eat in them all the time, like tonight in Xinjiang 👇 For our 5 dishes we pay 280 RMB, the equivalent of $40 - so $10 per head - and it's the freshest products imaginable, straight from the garden. Funny to think about this: the "farm-to-table" concept we now market in Europe as the height of refinement is simply a normal Wednesday night dinner in rural China.
