Cancel them! Nigerians need to start understanding that there will be inescapable grievious penalties on their head when they jeopardize the progress & prosperity of others. And no, it MUST not all end at these ones in Osun. It should be the default recompense any defaults.

No 1 prays for d success of an open enemy. Falilat & Ambi based their Gov. campaign on religion & it failed. Religious bigots with companies should face backlash & know there r consequences. If they had won it will b accepted specific standard practice in Mixed SW public.

It's a game and she lost that's all she's to face the consequence if APC had won they'd not be here begging. Elon Musk supported Trump and when Trump won Elon sporadically becomes the first man in the modern history to be trillinaire.

So this logic implies to everybody that didnt support Adeleke in the last election. They should lose their means of livelihood all in the name of politics? Is it even fair to banish them from markets? Thatโ€™s politics taken too far. Why canโ€™t we support our candidates in peace?

This is the outcome when individuals or brands insert themselves into polarized politics. The earlier aggressive stance creates lasting association in peopleโ€™s minds, so the later โ€œplease reconsiderโ€ appeals often look like damage control rather than a genuine change of heart.

I watched the press conference of PMLN women Parliamentarians and Minister regarding the deep fake video campaign against Azma Bokhari. As a Woman and lawyer, I also condemn this vilification campaign against Azma Bokhari. I want to use this opportunity to remind PMLN leaders that respect of all women irrespective of their political affiliation is important. PMLN leaders have a history of attacking women in public office, and associated social media accounts have undertaken targeted campaign against Bushra Bibi, Kanwal Shauzab MNA Zartaj Gul Wazir and many others with impunity. PMLN must carry out introspection and identification of those who run hate campaigns against women belonging to PTI within their ranks. Last year Kanwal Shauzab MNA and I were the target of the most horrific and filthy deep fake video campaign campaign on social media platforms. The campaign was initiated and propagated by social media accounts associated with PMLN and followed by its leaders including Maryam Nawaz. To date the perpetrators remain free and have not been held to account. Shameful and condemnable. FIA continues to be used as a political tool against PTI and to curb dissent but has failed to protect the rights of women in the online space despite wide powers. All political parties must undertake collective efforts to put an end to this culture of harassment and character vilification of women in public office. Those who break the law must be held accountable.

Accord Condemns Shooting of Member in Ila, Calls for Immediate Arrest of AIO and Damilare Otitola The Accord Party has condemned the shooting of its member, Yekini Omoiya Sango, popularly known as Y.K., at Sharp Corner, Iperin, Ila, on Friday, August 14, 2026, barely 24 hours before the Osun State governorship election. According to a statement from the party chairman, Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO) and Damilare Otitola, identified as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led a group of suspected thugs involved in the incident, accompanied by some police officers. The party maintains that firearms were discharged during the incident, targeting Yekini Omoiya Sango, an Accord Party member. The incident has generated serious concerns within the Accord Party, particularly because it occurred on the eve of an election in which political parties and their supporters are expected to participate peacefully and freely. Accord strongly condemns the use of firearms, intimidation, threats, and every form of political violence against its members or any other citizen exercising their democratic rights. The party calls on the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security authorities to immediately investigate the incident, establish the full circumstances surrounding the shooting, identify all individuals involved, and take appropriate legal action against anyone found culpable. Accord further demands that security personnel deployed for the August 15 governorship election remain professional, impartial, and committed to protecting every voter and political stakeholder, regardless of political affiliation. With Osun State going to the polls tomorrow, Accord urges its members and supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while exercising their constitutional rights. Democracy must never be governed by fear. The people of Osun deserve an election in which every citizen can participate freely, cast their ballot peacefully, and return home safely. The Accord Party therefore calls for peace, justice, professionalism, and accountability as Osun prepares for the August 15 governorship election. Signed: Pastor Victor Babalola Akande Osun State Accord Chairman 14/08/2026
