Over the last week or so there has been a lot of discussion by the community (particularly PvP) surrounding the lack of direct communication from the Retail Dev/Design Team on social media. Gone are the days of developers like Holinka and... show more

I no longer respect Towelliee if this is how he feels. As bad as people have been treated and he thinks we deserve it? That's not the words of someone who considers me a human being that deserves respect.

Stepping back was encouraged when the company changed hands and became purely about money. It only created more anger and animosity and everyone will forever be resentful. Incredible business model indeed!

Gonna be honest its the players fault for being so toxic to the devs, sure the foot in the mouth stuff is pretty sadge like you guys have mobile phones right but it shouldnt have been met with insane toxicity

Blizzard devs love to shrug off feedback and just label people as haters, shut them off and invert into their little gay hugbox, where they can continue to pump out slop until every last player has quit the game. Then make sad posts to bluesky when they get laid off lmao

The @wowclassicdevs team has done a fantastic job engaging with community. I think the highlight of that is Hardcore wow But even beyond that SoD was a venture in that entirely. If they do a classic plus Iโd love to see what community engage (polls?) look like going forward

Gone be the times when I was 12 years old staying home from school on a Tuesday. To call up blizzard and ask them why its 3pm and the servers aren't back on. For him to teach me what timezones are. Ggs

I don't think being called out at work is "toxic" right away

You do realize that most long-term enjoyers of the game prefer older versions? Seriously, who gives a fuck about retail?

I think it simply comes down to Developers who are willing to take on the role of interacting with the community. Once you become known, anything that goes wrong is sent your way, and you're probably added to over 100 tweets a day, 99 of which shouldn't have tagged you.

Heโs also wrong, look at the MoP PvP teams comms. Theyโre insanely good and the feedback is awesome currently. They have just decided retail shouldnโt have it. Or theyโre trialing it with MoP.
