The fact that Waddani leaders were sitting in Moscow when the men in the SNM were fighting to free Somaliland from Barre regime should be enough to communicate to the ppl who these men are and their priorities. The fact that Somalia actively supports them should also be a red flag.

To the self proclaimed gate keepers of Islam, does the condemnation not extent to the Arab world or is it just reserved for Africans? For decades Somaliland has tried to secure re-recognition and every country INCLUDING Palestine who seeks the same recognition have turned their backs on Somaliland. Where was the “We’re Muslim brothers” argument then? Was Somaliland suppose to continue allowing their people to die in poverty? The reality is people are dying from TB in 2025 in Somaliland. Even with that reality Somaliland has continued to donate millions to Palestine and Palestine continues to mock Somaliland and laugh at the struggles of her people. Somaliland has donated livestock to the Khaliji countries before their oil was struck which was literally keeping them alive while the rest of the world turned their backs to them and today many of their wealthy influencers and politicians are referring to Somalilanders as “hungry stupid people”. This narrative that is being pushed regarding Palestinians being relocated to Somaliland is as it stands false. They also were suggesting relocating Palestinians to multiple other countries including Egypt and Somalia. Why has the focus only been on Somaliland for months? Palestinians belong and deserve to remain in Palestine I do not wish for Palestinians to be relocated to any country - if that obvious opinion was not clear before. For now, the re-recognition is JUST RE-RECOGNITION. I pray it acts as a critical door that could unlock investment, security, and a path towards our ultimate goal. To our diaspora: From a place of privilege living abroad, it is easy to judge. Learn the context and history to make a well-informed opinion. To our locals: Be careful of the message you portray to the outside world. Be careful of ignorance. Optics are powerful and the whole world is watching us now. The European Union worked for three decades to minimize the aspirations of the Republic of Somaliland and pushed a failed policy in the Horn of Africa that is unraveling since the recognition of Somaliland’s sovereignty by Israel. Now the EU is left holding the bill for Somalia and worried that a strengthening of the Republic of Somaliland will expose their lack of a coherent strategic policy in the Horn of Africa. Annette Weber, the European Union representative for the Horn of Africa and Red Sea, stated that: ‘now of course we see a shift, and you know what I think we seen in the beginning there was It made Somaliland a bit more vulnerable because it was recognition by one country but I don’t think we’ve seen the end of the story. What we don’t want to see is an either- or. We don’t want to see a strengthening of Hargeisa is a weakening of Mogadishu.’ It is clear that the European Union always wanted to snuff out Somaliland and is now left scrambling and rambling about confederal or federal nonsense and Al Shabaab, which is not a concern of the Republic of Somaliland. This is Major General Dahir Aden Indha Qarshe, a distinguished Somalian military leader and former Chief of the Somalia Army, in this clip he shared a poignant reflection on the role of Somaliland in the 1977 war between Somalia and Ethiopia. In 1977 war between Somalia and Ethiopia General Elmi led an armored Somali National Army (SNA) battalions in the Qabri Dahare Front. In his account, General Qarshe emphasizes the critical and sacrificial role played by the people of Somaliland during this conflict. During the war, the proximity of Somaliland to the frontlines meant that the region bore the brunt of the conflict's devastation. The hospitals in Hargeisa were inundated with casualties, and the local population went to extraordinary lengths to assist the injured. General Qarshe recounts how Somalilanders, driven by a profound sense of Somali nationalism, not only provided medical care but also opened their homes to the wounded soldiers. He observed that the people of Somaliland demonstrated an unparalleled dedication to the cause of Somali unity, going so far as to sell their properties and livestock to support the war effort. He recalls that the civilians' cars were even repurposed for military use. BREAKING Now it’s official by Israeli foreign ministry: Foreign Minister Gideon Saar today (Tuesday) paid his first official diplomatic visit to Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, at the invitation of the President of Somaliland. The visit was conducted discreetly according to the instructions of security officials and can now be officially announced. As stated, the visit was conducted at the invitation of Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, and during which Foreign Minister Saar held meetings with President Abdirahman and senior government officials, including Foreign Minister Abdirahman Dahir Adam, Minister of the Presidency Khader Hussein Abdi, and Chief of Staff Nimsan Yusuf Osman. Minister Saar held the meetings at the official presidential palace in Hargeisa. The meetings were also attended by Parliament Speaker Yassin Haji Mohamed and Senate Speaker Sullivan Mahmoud Aden. Saar was greeted at the airport by Somaliland's Foreign Minister. Somaliland President and Foreign Minister Saar issued statements. From Foreign Minister Gideon Saar: "On December 26, Israel and Somaliland signed a historic agreement for mutual recognition and the establishment of full diplomatic relations. We agreed to mutually appoint ambassadors and open embassies and will do so soon. We agreed to work together to advance relations between the countries, for the prosperity of both. We want to build a warm friendship not only between governments - but also between peoples: the Israeli people and the people of Somaliland. Since December 26, we have seen authentic joy in Somaliland, and also in Israel. We are excited to take part in the courageous journey of the people of Somaliland from independence to recognition. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working under my guidance to build relations in many areas: economy, water, agriculture and more. We will cooperate on security issues and open a strategic partnership between us. Unlike "Palestine" - Somaliland is not a virtual state. We agreed to mutually appoint ambassadors and open embassies and will do so soon. We agreed to work together to advance relations between the countries, for the prosperity of both. We want to build a warm friendship not only between governments - but also between peoples: the Israeli people and the people of Somaliland. Since December 26, we have seen authentic joy in Somaliland, and also in Israel. We are excited to take part in the courageous journey of the people of Somaliland from independence to recognition. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working under my guidance to build relations in many areas: economy, water, agriculture and more. We will cooperate on security issues and open a strategic partnership between us. Unlike "Palestine" - Somaliland is not a virtual state. Somaliland is a functioning state in every way, according to the principles of international law. Somaliland has been and remains a stable democracy for nearly 35 years. It has democratic elections and an orderly change of government. It is pro-Western and friendly to Israel. It is a certificate of honor for us to be the first UN member state to recognize Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state. We hear the attacks, criticism and condemnations of Israel. No one will determine for Israel who to recognize and with whom to maintain diplomatic relations. The so-called 1960 Act of Union between Somaliland and Somalia was never properly ratified. Its validity has always been questionable, and Somaliland has every right to reclaim what was freely given and freely can be taken back. For more than 30 years, Somaliland has built something Somalia still struggles to achieve: a stable, democratic, and peaceful nation. Somaliland held five presidential elections, local council elections, and a constitutional referendum. Somaliland people elect their leaders through the will of the people not through clan deals or chaos. Somaliland has defended its land from terrorists, protected its shores from pirates, and stood tall on its own two feet while the world looked away. What the minister delivered instead was a baseless demographic rant that neither answers the question nor defends Somalia’s position. It only confused the journalist and embarrassed the audience. You know the old saying: “A wounded lion is more dangerous than a healthy one.” After somaliland big defeat in Goojacade, Sool in 2023 and several other losses over the past three years, Somaliland has realized they cannot win a military fight against the unionist forces in Sool (north west Somalia) So now they have switched tactics. They are setting traps and plotting against Somali people both inside Somalia and around the world especially in Mogadishu and other major cities like lasanod. They are working with countries & right wing that are against Somalia to turn international opinion against the Somalis. Inside Somalia, they are doing the same thing. Since their defeat in Sool, Mogadishu has become much safer. Al Shabaab has also lost a lot of its power there because many of its top leaders are from Somaliland. Now, Somalilanders are stirring up trouble in Mogadishu. They are using money to bribe half Isaaq/ Hawiye, Darood, and Dir youth in order words youth from issaq mothers to create violence and fights between peaceful communities like we saw in sanaag and sool. Stories like public harassment of girl in stadium which happened in Mogadishu last week, the perpetrators were paid to do that crime in public which was part of their propaganda against Somalia and to further promote their case in western world as being the good Somalis. A genocidal war against the people of Somaliland, and the Isaaq clan in particular, was allowed to be waged from the heart of America by defeated remnants of the Barre regime. Using money stolen from taxpayers, they waged a brutal war for nine months, funded primarily from Ohio, Minnesota, and Maine. After declaring jihad in March from the Minnesota State Capitol, they celebrated their August 2023 victory with a City of St. Paul declaration recognizing that conflict and its outcome — a full six months before the “government” in Mogadishu did the same. Every Somalian politician took part in this. Ilhan Omar, who was privy to confidential information concerning United States interest in a joint military exercise in Berbera, Somaliland, and a potential future base deal (Tim Burchett), subsequently, on December 21, 2022, hurriedly took that information to her homeland of Somalia, arriving first in Garowe and then Mogadishu to notify them of the urgency. A few days later, on December 31, 2022, a Somaliland opposition politician was assassinated in the town of Las Anod, which triggered a premeditated uprising and the start of the conflict. A few days after that, Ahmed Hirsi, Ilhan Omar’s former husband, and Ali Isse, District Deputy Director for Ilhan Omar, attended a fundraiser for the conflict. In March 2023, a protest took place in which calls for jihad, weapons, and financing rang out from the center of the Minnesota State House. In an August 2023 campaign rally in Ward 6, Jamal Osman celebrated the forced withdrawal of Somaliland’s army who capitulated to the threats made by the state department. The capture of a Somaliland base Goojacade by the clan militia and their Somalian government allies, was celebrated at the Minneapolis rally with cheers that “Greater Somalia is next” and “Long live Somalia!” The Biden administration not only looked the other way; it warned and threatened the people of Somaliland with repercussions if they did not allow the militias space to regroup. A genocidal war against the people of Somaliland, and the Isaaq clan in particular, was allowed to be waged from the heart of America by defeated remnants of the Barre regime. Using money stolen from taxpayers, they waged a brutal war for nine months, funded primarily from Ohio, Minnesota, and Maine. After declaring jihad in March from the Minnesota State Capitol, they celebrated their August 2023 victory with a City of St. Paul declaration recognizing that conflict and its outcome — a full six months before the “government” in Mogadishu did the same. Every Somalian politician took part in this. Ilhan Omar, who was privy to confidential information concerning United States interest in a joint military exercise in Berbera, Somaliland, and a potential future base deal (Tim Burchett), subsequently, on December 21, 2022, hurriedly took that information to her homeland of Somalia, arriving first in Garowe and then Mogadishu to notify them of the urgency. A few days later, on December 31, 2022, a Somaliland opposition politician was assassinated in the town of Las Anod, which triggered a premeditated uprising and the start of the conflict. A few days after that, Ahmed Hirsi, Ilhan Omar’s former husband, and Ali Isse, District Deputy Director for Ilhan Omar, attended a fundraiser for the conflict. In March 2023, a protest took place in which calls for jihad, weapons, and financing rang out from the center of the Minnesota State House. In an August 2023 campaign rally in Ward 6, Jamal Osman celebrated the forced withdrawal of Somaliland’s army who capitulated to the threats made by the state department. The capture of a Somaliland base Goojacade by the clan militia and their Somalian government allies, was celebrated at the Minneapolis rally with cheers that “Greater Somalia is next” and “Long live Somalia!” The Biden administration not only looked the other way; it warned and threatened the people of Somaliland with repercussions if they did not allow the militias space to regroup. Conflicts launched from the United States that have devastating repercussions on people who endured a genocide and built a peaceful existence are not right and should be investigated to ensure they never happen again. *Video below is the March 2023 Minnesota state Capitol rally

48 hours after the event, the host himself says: “The Somalilanders have not been able to consistently make the case for why recognition is necessary.” He is absolutely right, and that makes what happened at this event even more damning. No amount of giggling like someone on nitrous oxide (laughing gas), nor standing there to effectively testify on behalf of Somalia, can disguise what was a complete tragedy for Somaliland’s case. Cabdiraxmaan Cirro somehow knows exactly what to say when it benefits Somalia, yet appears completely incapable of conveying the most basic and compelling case for Somaliland when they are actually given an international platform. Somaliland cannot continue putting its international case in the hands of incompetent clowns who seem to know precisely how to advance Somalia’s narrative, while acting brain-dead when it comes to defending Somaliland.
