On June 19, 2005, Horry found himself back in the NBA Finals only this time playing for the San... Antonio Spurs, and his team trailing 95-93 in the final seconds of overtime in Game 5 against the Detroit Pistons. Horry inbounded the ball to Manu Ginobili, who got cornered by two Detroit defenders. Ginobili passed the ball back to Horry on the left wing, and in typical Horry fashion he buried a three-pointer with 5.9 seconds left to give the Spurs a 96-95 win and 3-2 series lead. Along with the game-winning shot, Horry scored 21 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to carry the Spurs to victory. The Spurs won the series and Horry received his sixth NBA championship.show more

@AlabamaMBB @RKHorry Here’s a fun fact: over a 14 year span either Steven Kerr or Robert Horry won an NBA championship 12 times, including a decade straight of either of them winning! They each had their own three-peat and won with the Spurs. Horry: ‘94, ‘95, ‘00-‘02, ‘05, ‘07. Kerr: ‘96-‘99, ‘03.
