This happens all the time! This is why I feel like I'm not worth myself! This is why I feel like I cant grow! This is twitch actively nerfing my account every time I go live! The audience didn't leave they were still in the chat! When I asked twitch for help, I got an automated incomplete response that said "everything looks" . I am so tired of fighting this and have pleaded with twitch, Daniel Clancy and have told the VP FACE TO FACE about this issue and still nothing has been done! Why? I'm small potatoes no one cares and no one will even put an iota of time into solving this issue! This has been a constant every day for over 2 years and I cannot express how defeated I absolutely feel every time I press start to immediately have my audience ignored by twitch. I know some of you are going to say its not all about the numbers and if you enjoy it, it shouldn't matter. Unfortunately the ultimate truth is we are heavily judged on our CPM by everyone, potential partners, sponsors, collaborative opportunities and even by twitch themselves. So yes, it does matter. It matters a lot and worst part is no one, will take this issue seriously! I have literally 120 days of information from twitches 9th longest subathon (unrecognized of course as again small potatoes) that would absolutely show this being a consistent issue. I don't know what to do, I am at wits end here and I every time I see this happen to me I just want to curl up into a ball and let the world wash over me. Little did I know at the time how important this city, one I never imagined living in, has become to my life. I’ve met some of the most important people and I will love Des Moines forever. But change is inevitable and my time in Iowa is coming to an end. My last day at KCCI will be on October 14th. For the last 4.5 years I’ve been proud to work for Iowa’s news leader. Thank you to my sports team, Scott and Shannon. Getting to work with you two everyday was a joy and a blast. This is the discrimination we face daily as women athletes in competitive games. I have been playing CS since 2005. Some ask me: “But you have played for so long, you must have a thick skin to all this toxicity by now?” And normally I answer: “Yes, I do”. But I don’t want to have a thick skin to play a game I love, where I want to develop as a professional and break new barriers. I don’t want to show strength and ignore, or fight back every time I am being harassed for my gender. I don’t want to feel like I don’t belong or that I am worse “by default”. This woman was 12 minutes late to the gate and the airline gave their seats to other customers with standby tickets. The rules are rules for a reason but if the gates are still open, is this just being petty? They are there now so I don’t see why they can’t just have the seats they paid for. I remember when I was almost sprinting to the gate because the watch j was wearing stopped working, I just didn’t know it. I thought I had plenty of time so as I walked to get something to eat I saw some of the gate time displays and in the corner of the screen displayed a time. I was confused because when I looked at my watch it said 1:30pm, my flight left at 2:30pm and the time on the screen was 2:25pm. I kept walking and passed a gift shop that had a clock and it also said 2:25pm. I hurried to the employee at the shop and asked what time it was and they pointed to the clock meaning that was the actual time. I took off to the gate because I knew there was a big chance I wasn’t going to make my flight. I got there right at 2:30pm. They were getting just letting the last people on. I had my ticket in hand and she said she had to make sure I could still board. Initially when she walked back she had a worried look on her face as if she had bad news, I was prepared for the worst but luck was on my side as she said they agreed to let me on. My next flight I wasn’t so lucky but I will save that for another time. My luck ran out for the rest of the day though, it made me think if I was better off missing that flight. The guy I was sat by snored bad, I had a delay at my next connecting flight, and the food they gave me made me nauseated but I was still thankful I made it home on time.
