For years, I’ve been trying get answers to questions, questions about women’s health. For years I’ve heard the same thing over and over, “We don’t know.” How is it that we don’t know about half our population? Because we haven’t researched them! Women have been ignored in clinical research. Well now, the The White House is helping us get answers! I have been working with First Lady Melania Trump on the Women’s Health Research Initiative, and last week, $100 million in federal funding was announced or research and development into women’s health from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health. But this is also a call to all the tech companies, the innovators, the inventors, the game changers — we need you! We need your minds, your help to get these answers. We can make a difference by working together, and changing the way we think about women’s health. Who’s ready? #womenshealthresearch

3 hours drive from us, war is still being fought. Today Palmyra was bombed and 68 people are dead. No one counts the animals. Because we are not under bombing in Idlib, people have stopped donating and we are facing a huge crisis in our funding. There is no improvement in the lives of the animals in Syria, and without funding we aren't able to help them anymore. We cannot send our mobile clinics out, because we have no funding. We cannot feed street animals because we can't afford to. We cannot send out rescue teams. We have lower donations now than we have ever had and our essential costs are the same now as they were before December 8th when the regime fell. Please, please will you reconsider reinstating your cancelled donations and giving us your support again? Without you we cannot help any of the ones who desperately need our aid. Soon we may need to reconsider our mission in Syria. We have always shared our good and bad news with you. Just now, our options are slowly disappearing.

No tents have entered Gaza since the so called “ceasefire” support: People in Gaza are panicking as winter is coming - which brings the rain, the wind, the cold temperatures. These makeshift tents don’t stand a chance, and there are so many more of them this year after 12 months of more displacements. The Tuyoor Muhajera (Migratory Bird) Camp in Al Mawasi Khan Younis is one of the largest, the poorest, the most at risk camps we have seen. It gets very little aid and support. Families know that come winter they are in trouble. We cannot wait until then, until it is too late to help. They need tents, they need tarps, they need mattresses, and blankets. Tents have come down in price from about $1,200 a few weeks ago to a little more than $400 now. This means that your donations help more families. With the amount we would spent on one family, we can now help three! This should encourage you to continue to give and reach more people in need.
