Cheating in college football was rampant for years. Everyone knew it and apparently that was ok. Teams like Texas Tech who are killing in the new NIL era and playing by the rules are now villains. Make it make sense.

Hearing him say this about his next opponent makes me wonder A) why he'd call out a TxTech & not the Bamas/Georgias/OH States that have been doing it even b4 it was legal, and B) if he is just making excuses for an upcoming loss & jealous of TT's resources. It's not a good look.

WATCH: one of the most incredible acts of kindness took place in Andrews Thursday night. November 2025 in Texas In the Bi-District playoff game between Sundown Roughnecks and Wink Wildcats, Wink was comfortably ahead late in the fourth quarter. Sundown had a senior player, Kolt McDaniel, who has special needs and had never scored a touchdown in his high school career. With 22 seconds left and the game already decided, Sundownโ€™s coaches asked Winkโ€™s head coach Brian Gibson if their team could let Kolt score. Coach Gibson didnโ€™t hesitate: he pulled his defense off the field entirely, told his players to let Kolt run untouched into the end zone. Kolt McDaniel scored his first and only career touchdown. The Sundown sideline, the fans, and even many Wink players and fans erupted in cheers. After the play, players from both teams met at midfield to celebrate Kolt together.Wink won the game, but everyone who was there (and everyone who saw the video afterward) agrees the real winners that night were Texas high school football and basic human decency. Coach Gibson later said, โ€œIt wasnโ€™t even a question. Thatโ€™s what this game is supposed to be about.โ€ The moment went viral across Texas and beyond as one of the purest examples of sportsmanship youโ€™ll ever see. "Video: Original footage from Sundown vs. Wink playoff game (11/14/2025) โ€“ widely shared via Texas HS football communities"

On this date 43 years ago, Alabama Menโ€™s Basketball delivered one of the most emotional and historic wins in program history, stunning No. 1 UCLA 70โ€“67 inside Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on Jan. 28, 1983 โ€” a victory that still echoes across Crimson Tide lore. The teams played just hours after the burial of legendary Alabama Football coach Paul โ€œBearโ€ Bryant, who died two days earlier on Jan. 26, 1983. What should have been just another showdown of two top college basketball teams instead became a moment of statewide catharsis and pride. Head coach Wimp Sanderson led his team after receiving encouragement from the Bryant family to still play the game. Wearing black memorial patches on its uniforms, the Crimson Tide took the floor carrying the weight of grief โ€” and the determination to honor a legend. Alabama never trailed and even built a 16-point lead before UCLA stormed back to tie the game late. But in the closing seconds, Mike Davis and Buck Johnson knocked down three clutch free throws to seal one of the greatest road wins in program history. Bobby Lee Hurt led the Tide with 23 points, while Ennis Whatley added 20, giving Alabama the firepower to outlast college basketballโ€™s most iconic program on its home floor. Years later on a Tide Hoops History podcast, Ennis Whatley called the win one of the defining moments of his career, saying it was โ€œa high accomplishment for me, for our team and for the state of Alabamaโ€ during a time of profound emotion. Though the 1982-83 season would later unravel in SEC play, this night remains immortal โ€” and Sanderson still stands as the only Alabama head coach with a winning record against No. 1 teams โ€” forever tied to a victory that honored Bear Bryant in the most powerful way possible.

Deion Sanders is the face of College Football. There are better teams. There are better programs. But win, lose or draw, no one has captivated college football like Coach Prime, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Colorado. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter both made plays against Baylor when their team and Coach needed them the most. They made those plays in the biggest moments of the game because prime time players, make prime time plays in prime time moments. Deion Sanders is Prime Time and his influence rubs off on his entire program. A lot of people wondered why Coloradoโ€™s fans rushed the field after beating a 2-1 Baylor team. They rushed the field because they know what it was like before Coach Prime and his Louis luggage showed up. There were no season ticket sell outs since 1996. With Deion, season tickets are sold out for the second straight year. School applications are up 20% with a 50.5% increase in Black student applicants. Colorado made $113.2 million from its 2023 home games alone, which led to a 51% increase in revenue through media rights with Coach Prime at the helm. Before Coach Prime, no one searched for a Colorado game. Last year alone Colorado averaged 7.2 Million viewers per game, with 5 games ranked in the 25 most watched college Football games of the year. That trend continues this year as well. Coach Prime turned the worst Power 5 school in the country into one that PEOPLE CARE ABOUT. Win or lose. You watch. Cheering for or against. You watch. However, his biggest accomplishment isnโ€™t making the Colorado Buffaloes relevant again. His biggest accomplishment is empowering the young men in his program to believe in themselves, trust God and rejuvenating an entire city in the face of massive push back against his style. Deion Sanders took 2 HBCU football players in Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter and helped coach them into 2 of the best players in the country who are both in the Heisman race. Took multiple HBCU football players and helped coach them into high level Power 5 starters who have NFL futures. You see the thing about Coach Deion Sanders is he is just as misunderstood as he was as a player. With him, you earn what you get and every single player in his program knows that. On a deeper level, watching him coach his sonโ€™s is inspirational. What Deion and Lebron have done for their families and their sonโ€™s should be celebrated. As fathers they werenโ€™t just there, they were active. They didnโ€™t just have the title of baby daddy, they are fathers. Black Fatherhood has long been mischaracterized as absent and negative. Itโ€™s amazing to see Black Fatherhood today on the highest levels be characterized as present and supportive.

If you think Josรฉ Mourinho's rants are wild, his first ever rant was completely insane. In 2000, Mourinho had only 8 career matches as a coach, when his Benfica player, Sabry, called him out in public. Mourinho's reply was crazy. "It's not easy for a coach to like a player who has an absurd average of offsides per game, that doesn't know how to position himself, that runs away from the pressure in away matches, that in the last few games was 3 times one on one with the goalkeeper and didn't score a goal, that at half-time, when I'm more aggressive, goes to the secretary to complain and say he's afraid of me. It's not easy for a coach to like a player like this. Then he says I never speak with him and the relationship is not correct. I have a little book about my individual meetings with the players, everything is there. With Sabry, who says I never speak with him, I had 7 individual meetings. Not one, not two, seven. And of the seven meetings, three of them were in the past 4 days. I spoke with him, but he doesn't like the things I tell him. Then he says that playing only 20 minutes in a match is little for him. Well, the only time he played only 20 minutes was against Paรงos de Ferreira, when he took 8 minutes just to put on his boots. Sabry left me a message via the media, so I feel perfectly confortable leaving him a message via the media as well. So I want to leave a message to Sabry and to the fans: This is Benfica, not Paok Salonica [Sabry's former club]." Josรฉ Mourinho was a head coach for a little over a month. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Insane๐Ÿ˜‚

Daunte Culpepper reveals why he chose UCF after major programs stopped recruiting him, says Coach Paul Lounsberry had a plan for him and believed in him when nobody else did โ€œCoach pulled me out of class. He said, โ€˜Daunte, I'm just telling you right now. I talked to a few college coaches. They don't think you're going to be eligible. They're taking you off the recruiting list. You probably got to go JUCO or do something else.โ€™ That made me feel bad.โ€ โ€œBut the next day, Coach L comes to the school and calls me into the principal's office. He said, โ€˜Daunte, I'm looking at your transcripts, and I looked at what you need to graduate. If you take this class over, this class over, this class overโ€ฆโ€™ I only needed one credit to graduate.โ€ โ€œI had done enough to graduate, but I wasn't going to be eligible to get into the clearinghouse to go to college. So I had to make a decision. I had to grow up a little bit. My senior year at Vanguard, on the football field we were excelling, getting all these accolades.โ€ โ€œBut in school, I'm in freshman classes. People thought I was actually dumb. Like, โ€˜Why is this senior, this big old 17-, 18-year-old kid, in these freshman classes?โ€™ All the stuff I failed the years before, I had to take those classes over.โ€ โ€œI had to swallow my pride a little bit. Because I had a vision. I want to be the first one in my family to go to college. I'm going to college. So I ended up taking Coach's advice, getting eligible. Once the word got out, all these coaches calling me.โ€ โ€œI'm like, โ€˜Damn, where y'all was when I needed y'all?โ€™ I needed Coach L. He figured out a way for me to do it. I called. I said, โ€˜Coach, I'm coming to UCF.โ€™โ€

Paul Pierce says heโ€™s been saying all year that the Detroit Pistons arenโ€™t very talented: โ€œThatโ€™s why he deserves coach of the year for having them number one. Because after Cade Cunningham like whoโ€™s their second best player? Duren whoโ€™s an All-Star if heโ€™s your second best player why is he only getting 4 shots in the first game of the playoffs? Like whatโ€™s going on? Is that a player thing or is that a coaching thing? How does he 4 shots and make 3 he was 75% from the field, is that a coaching thing or a player thing? Like, think about it if youโ€™re a player, this talks about your team IQ first of all. Because if Iโ€™m a high IQ player, because Iโ€™m really like during a timeout youโ€™re looking up at the score, youโ€™re looking up at turnovers, youโ€™re looking up at rebounds and shots, youโ€™re looking at who got what. And you looking up and you see Jalen Duren got 2 points and itโ€™s the third quarter, you not going to say nothing In the timeout? Like, Iโ€™m going to be like hold on dog, this dude average 20 and 10 what are we doing fellas, me as the best player would do that. Like we need to get him the ball, itโ€™s his night. Like come on dog. Letโ€™s do something better than that. Like where is the IQ outside of the coaching staff within the players? So, now if youโ€™re number one seed that questions leadership, where is the leadership coming from in the Pistons locker room.โ€ (Via No Fouls Given)
