"I was only a District Collector, posted in Ahmedabad, when I was diagnosed with pancreatitis, a rare and life-threatening condition," she recounts. Her situation was critical, requiring a month-long stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). After a month and half, she returned to work, still recovering from the illness. "Chief Minister Narendra Modi came to know about my illness and condition. Shortly after returning to the office, I received an unexpected call from the CM's office. They informed me that a specialist doctor from Kerala, renowned for his expertise in pancreatic diseases, would meet me that evening as instructed by CM Modi," Karwal remembers. She was deeply touched and surprised by this gesture. The doctor reviewed her medical reports and provided detailed advice on her treatment. He even shared his personal phone number, encouraging her to keep in touch for further consultation. "This doctor was highly sought after, with long waits for his appointment. Yet, there he was, attending me on the Chief Minister's request," Karwal adds. "Later that evening, around 8 PM, I received another call from the CM's office." To her surprise, it was Chief Minister Modi himself on the line. He asked with concern, "Anita, did you find the consultation helpful? Was the doctor good?" "Who shows such care for a junior colleague?" asks Anita Karwal, reflecting on the level of personal attention and care from a Chief Minister to a district collector. It wasn't just arranging medical consultation that stood out, but also the personal follow-up by CM Modi to ensure her well-being. We had a match against South Africa in Ahmedabad, and the teams were lined up on the field for introductions just before the game began. Modi ji arrived and shook hands with all the players. That was the first time I met him. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, our captain at the time, introduced me to him. Modi ji smiled and said to Dhoni, “Take care of him.. he’s our boy.” That simple line coming from someone in his position, especially in front of my team, made me feel incredibly proud and happy. It reflected warmth, and the genuine personal care he extends to everyone he meets. It’s a moment I’ve never forgotten. #MyModiStory

At a farewell lunch in Delhi when I was about to leave for London on my posting as India’s Deputy High Commissioner to the UK in 1999, PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji who was then a private citizen and a Pracharak had promised to visit me in London. That visit couldn’t materialise, but I had the privilege of hosting him during my posting in India at UN, Geneva when he visited Geneva in August 2003 as the Chief Minister of Gujarat to bring back the urn containing the ashes of the freedom fighter and a proud son of India Sh Shyamji Krishna Varma Ji to the motherland. Such was the farsight and focus of PM Modi Ji from the time he was the CM that he not only knew about the ashes but was also determined to fulfil the wish of the great freedom fighter that his and his wife’s and his ashes should be taken to India when it becomes independent. PM Modi Ji is very strong when it comes to honouring the past, and taking pride in our cultural & civilisational heritage. Wish to recall how, based on my experience, I see a strong leader in PM Modi who is caring and compassionate too. The day of my very first budget speech is one I will never forget, though not for the reasons most might expect. I had barely reached home after the Budget speech when my phone rang. It was the Hon'ble Prime Minister. The first words I heard were filled with genuine worry: “Why didn’t you take care of yourself?” Before I could even gather my thoughts, he had already acted. He sent his personal doctor straight to my home, instructing him to run all the necessary tests and make sure I was absolutely fine. What moved me most was that this concern did not fade with time. Even today, every now and then, he reminds me: “Are you looking after yourself? How are you keeping?” For someone who leads a nation, who juggles responsibilities that touch every corner of the country, to remember and worry about the well-being of his colleagues is something extraordinary. #MyModiStory Celebrating #PMModiBirthday As an international singer, I have performed on many grand stages, but the day I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi stands apart. I first met India’s Prime Minister formally on stage during his state visit hosted by former President Joe Biden and the First Lady Jill Biden. I had the honor of performing the Indian National Anthem on that historic occasion. Before the performance, I was preparing backstage. The Prime Minister had just arrived after a long day of events. I thought we might meet briefly after the ceremony. But to my surprise, once I finished singing, he walked over to me on stage. It was a simple gesture, yet it touched me deeply. A man goes in for a colonoscopy and he happened to leave his phone recorder running because he wanted to record postop instructions from the doctor. What he captured was the anesthesiologist talking to him while he was under telling him that she wanted to punch him in his face to knock some sense into him and that he was a wuss . She also talks about falsifying his medical report. It’s really getting scary the number of unhinged doctors that are doing medical procedures on helpless vulnerable patients. The patient did not report her to authorities however he did sue her for malpractice in 2015. He was awarded $500,000 for malpractice and defamation.. I think he should’ve pursued criminal charges against her as she was way out of line, and was more than likely a danger to many other patients. Dr. Tiffany Ingham left her practice a year after the settlement while only receiving a reprimand from her medical board . I really like certain professions should require psychological evaluation before allowed contact with the public. Just my opinion.

I used to say “ she made him with love” and I am partly still standing behind my words🙈 yet Yildiz didn’t create the good in him… she reminded him of it! Serhat always had that merciful, kind side inside him. We know that. I know that. And I will always be proud that I believed in that from the very beginning. I kept saying it before episode 14 even aired (Serhat left Urfa because of Yıldız.) Nobody took me seriously back then🌚… until the flashbacks proved it, and that’s one of the reasons episode 14 became one of my favorite episodes Because the truth is, even as a child, Yıldız was the person who shifted his entire life. Yes young Serhat chose to sacrifice himself for her but when he came back years later with that cold attitude, that mask he built to protect himself from being used by her and to protect her from a marriage she didn’t want as a child … she was the one who slowly brought him back to himself! Cuz she saw through him! She did that with love. With patience. With mercy. With care! She didn’t change him by forcing him. She reached the part of him that was always there the parts that no one saw but her… the parts that he hid from others. And I love that Serhat himself confirmed this in episode 27 when she told him what a good man he was, and he basically answered that her existence was the reason goodness could exist around her! The way I love Serhat is becoming unhealthy 😭 I miss them so much 🥹

I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. Marimar Martinez, the Chicago woman whom a Border Patrol agent shot five times last year, says she was only at the hospital for three hours before agents rushed her out. She then was admitted to a second hospital because she was through from her bandages. "As we left the hospital, I was escorted out through the back in a wheelchair. I observed over dozens of border patrol agents waiting outside the hospital. One of them, one of the agents came up to me with his cell phone and took a photograph of me. It was the same agent who had previously kept coming in and out of my room, and I had to repeatedly tell him to leave. I told him I did not consent for him to photograph me, but he did not care. It still haunts me that this agent has my photo on his phone. Was this the agent that shot me? Was this a trophy for him?"
